Totally get what you’re saying if it’s in respect to Kingsbane Rogue. The problem with that argument is that anyone who played Kingsbane Rogue was morally bankrupt and is getting what they deserve!
Agreed, though i fail to see a good solution to this issue
- They could at least Nerf Legendary or Epic cards instead of commons, (so for example in rogue they could nerf Doomerang or Kings bane), In druid they could Nerf Ultimate instead of wild growth, in Shaman they could nerf Grumble)
- They can increase the amount of dust return for commons etc.

This is another tactic that Blizzard is using,
they pick an archetype that the community hates (like Kings bane, odd Paladin, Shudder, Tempo mage) and use this hate against the other part of community to justify those indirect economic "sanctions"
The timing of these nerfs is the most annoying part to me, people just crafted new decks after the expansion. Problem with these nerfs is they didn't weaken archetypes, they destroyed them completely. You can't replaced a nerfed card with something else so you'll have to change the deck entirely, thus costing more dust should new cards be crafted.
Community: "What a garbage game, change the polarization, nerf Druid and Kingsbane and Odd Pally and Shudderwock!"
Team5: "We've listened to your requests and looked critically at the problematic cards. Here are our nerfs!"
Community: "Now refund us in dust for all the cards that were part of the deck that included the nerfed cards!"
Here we go again. It's not enough that Blizzard decided to listen to the community, the community demands dust for basically all cards in these decks.
You could make an argument for Kingsbane, this I believe. However, Kingsbane on his own, was never problematic. It was his interaction with Leeching Poison that made it frustrating to play against. So, they nerfed the perfect card. I believe Kingsbane could still be playable, but needs to be more on the Control-side now. So why offer refunds for Kingsbane?
Same goes for Shudderwock. That card is not dead now, it's just less degenerate this way. So they nerfed the perfect card. And don't even get me started on Druid. The nerfed cards are in EVERY deck, so you wish to get refunded for EVERY card? And for Odd Pally?
They nerfed the perfect cards, and we know it. Thus, they follow policy to not refund other cards. It's not that strange.
Agreed. The only thing they missed was emerald spellstone but eh

Your favorite deck is next, just one nerf of core common card. Your deck will be killed, and i'll first who will say: you get what you deserve, enjoy your 80 dust.
I mean... Usually it's a good thing to wait some time before everything settles in to create new decks. I can get behind the idea if for example - You've been missing 2-3 rares, 2 epics at best and decided to craft them for a deck...
... crafting Kingsbane now was basically asking for this to happen.
Sometimes You high roll, sometimes You low roll and no matter what policy Blizzard does - slow nerfs, fast nerfs, useless nerfs, meanigful nerfs - there will always be a group that will be unhappy with the changes.
My only concern with the current take on nerfs is they nerfed most (if not all) reliable counters to Hunter Decks while not touching them. I guess we're in for a polarized meta again. Can You counter hunter ? Go ahead. Are You not able to play against him ? Move along, don't bother.
I am ok with their Kingsbane nerf, but i have no interest in the weapon now, because clearly, i can use more card-efficient weapons or no weapons at all in an Aggro/Midrange deck.
Kingsbane was only really good for the degenerate Control deck.
Hearthstone community: "Blizzard do something about these decks, they are too powerful." Blizzard: *Changes said decks* Community: "OMG how dare you, I just crafted all that stuff, now give me a refund".
At this rate Blizzard should just never do balance changes, people bitch a moan either way.
When you nerf some cards to destry an archetype you should refound for at least the legendaries that defined those archetypes. In this particular case I think They should've at least refounded the dust for kingsbane and shudderwock not only for a rare and a common card
I agree with Arivaali ,you (not OP only but players who play these decks) keep playing the same deck for 3+ expansions in a row ,infesting both casual and ranked with it ,even on the first days of a new expansion ruining the card testing for everyone so that they start complaining about how cancerous you are .
It's an efficient way to make sure that tier 1 net-deckers are punished for net-decking .
And spare me the 'perhaps they don't have dust to craft anything else' because grinding the F**k out of casual for 100 gold and getting a golden epic from reaching rank 5 every season for an entire year doesn't allow you to craft a cheap tier 2 or 3 deck like Elemental Mage or what not .
You can see it in their personalities as well ,once they see Genn next to my Jaina ,they know they found an easy prey experimenter and then the emotes never stop ,it happened with Star Aligner Druids ,Big Priests ,Odd Paladins ,Shudderf*cks ,Odd Rogues,Even Shamans and Kingsbane Rogues . The same can't be said about the highly rare and occasional Odd Shamans and Even Warriors or players who play weird OTK combos that are not meta .
I used to have Even Paladin back when the Witchwood released and it was my 3rd month into the game and I didn't craft it because of a net deck but because I got Uther from 1st 10 Frozen Throne packs ,Glass Knight free Witchwood legendary and Genn 1st 10 Witchwood packs ,and I had 3200 dust ,so I crafted Tirion and Tarim because in the deck recipes (which are whizbang-level) I found Tarim,Genn ,Tirion and Glass Knight in the recipe (Tirion never got truely used in Even Paladin back then) and I thought they would go well with DK as well .Two months later ,my first deck that didn't include Crocolisk and Bloodfin Raptor got nerfed because at one point you would get matched with 5 Even Paladins in a row all with very similar tier 1 builds .
Blizzard destroys entire archetypes with no significant compensation to players.(4 free packs promotion was a trick to "hide" this issue)
Players crafted and invested money for building archetypes which are now dead by nerfs (2 weeks after expansion out!),
such balance change "costs" players significant damage in terms of dust which blizzard fail to compensate.
As a result the game becomes even more expensive, and there is a feeling for not respecting the players community
Agreed, though i fail to see a good solution to this issue

it has always been like this. Blizz wont give us more dust no matter what u just got to live with
It's fine, people want "free" wins and get punishment, I do not see any issue.

Yes yes yes yes! All my thoughts in one messsge

They nerfed cards which caused the issue. Why would they nerf kingsbane? Card is fine. Just not with lifesteal. Same goes for other nerfs.
Leeching Poison was never the problematic card, it was Kingsbane's problematic card design in the first place.
I agree.

And it is ridiculous i get no full refund.

This whole chat is crazy.
All of you complaining about these nerfs after you crafted net decks and made he game unplayable need to quit this game

TL:DR : you deserve it .
Your insane.
These nerfs are good and needed.
