posted a message on Elysiana is part of the issue right now
    Quote from scout1515 >>

I think one great change would be if Elysiana's battlecry was:

Discover 5 cards, replace your deck with 2 copies of each, transform into a 7/7 (with no text)

One of the issues right now is playing control decks is such a suffer due to the lists that include ways to bounce / duplicate elysiana. 10 cards more isn't terrible, but when it's 20 or 30 cards more that's just ridiculous. I've even seen a game hit the turn limit because of elysiana (90 minute game to end in a draw).

I completely stopped playing typical control decks as a result of this type of play, and so have many other people. Because of this aggro decks run into less bad matchups and get higher winrates as a result. I'm not saying other changes aren't needed as well, but limiting the amount that elysiana can extend the game would be a great improvement.

So you're saying Elysiana is a problem because you don't like long games?
I guess I think a lot of typical aggro cards are a problem then, cause I dislike short games.

posted a message on Scientific research about aggro and control players:
    Quote from Mazi >>

In the Minnesota research institute of doom, they have done  studies about why players chose to play aggro or control decks.

It turned out that in every competitive game, who decide to play control roles is tipically an obsessive person who need to keep control about everything in real life too, thus not living emotions at their fullest. This is true not only for control decks in HS but also for tank or support roles in mobas for example.

On the other side,  the aggro player is someone who likes aggression and big damages, this can be easily explained in 2 ways:

The player is below 10 years old so he get excited by everything involving big numbers and damage just like when he looks at his favourite pointless and stupid american action movie with nutella and ice cream in his hands.

When the aggro player is more adult tho, it means he need to compensate his own lacks with big damages. Possible causes are micropenis, low height, high weight, inability to interact with the opposite sex. This is true also for high damage heroes in mobas such as assassins or damage oriented fighters.

And you? What kind of player do you feel like you are?

This post was a lot of fun!

Not really but I don't want to hurt your feelings.

posted a message on Golden chef nomi disenchat or keep?

Personally I wouldn't ever disenchant a legendary before the said expansion has rotated.

    1) You're probably not done opening packs from this expansion yet. If you DO disenchant him, you'll have the risk of being able to unbox the card yet again.
    2) Whether a card is bad or not can change. A card that's bad now might become good due to cards in future expansions.

posted a message on Who else gave up Hearthstone with this expansion?
    Quote from Suskis >>

I notice that most people replying to my post are attacking me or plain ingnoring the fact that I openly wrote that I want to read from other people that share my feelings. I am not interested in your wits as much as you should not be interested in my rants.

This is where salt comes from: people that have not the guts to leave the game and feel the need to defend it even if they now hate it or simply don't enjoy it any more.
It's just like in politics: when someone voted an asshole and hears someone else saying he is, in fact an asshole. Immediately, the 1st one feels the urge to defend the asshole, even if, deep down in his feelings, they know he is an asshole. But admitting this, would be like admitting his own failure in judgement and he keeps pretending he was right.

Please, post your happy threads or answer others'.

Again, if you could please clarify how you feel like you've "given up Hearthstone", cause I honestly am not sure what this topic is about.
On one hand you're saying you've given up, and on the other you're saying you will keep playing it cause it's fun. How have you actually given up the game, then? What is the the point of the topic? You want to find more people who has stopped playing, but hasn't stopped playing? I'm a little confused.

posted a message on Who else gave up Hearthstone with this expansion?
    Quote from Suskis >>

Foreword: I want to know how many other people, like me, stopped playing, stoppad paying or simply stopped caring for this game when this expansion came out.
I am not interested in people that still like the game, fans and supporter of the dev team that usually pop up and say "who cares?" or similar posts. I understand you're ok with the game.
I just want to hear from others and their reasons for giving up the game.

I have been playing this game since beta and I have bought several hundreds of euros of packs and packages. I even have a TESPA back (as well as every other back I could get). I tracked every pack I opened using both software (for statistics) and an Excel (where I kept track of all missing cards, all legendaries found, the timer since last legendary found, the percentage of almost anything I could come up to etc).
I was a collector and I liked to see my collection grow.
I started feeling the game was losing quality with the increase amount of rng, the declining quality of the overall cards art, the amount of money it became necessary to spend in order to complete my collection.
I never liked the idea of "wild" vs "standard" because I think I am entitled to play the cards I paid good money for. I also never liked the change from the old 2 small expansion (that very cheaply I could buy and get all cards) and 1 big expansion in favor of 3 big expansions (collecting became impossible platyng for free). Brode leaving was a bad hit too.

But I kept going, enjoying some game and going on with my collection. Then RR came out: the amount of duplicates I found was astounding, the legendaries I found had a worse than usual per pack opened ratio and the expansion felt pretty bad. I was almost fed up, when this expansion came out along with Year of the Dragon.
It was it: I gave up.
I had several packs and gold (that converted into other packs) and opened them all. Found 2 legendaries: I felt I couldn't care any less, I kept track of nothing, didn't update the Excel. That's it. I am done.
I will keep playing the game because it is still fun. I am still watching Trolden videos for their quality and following good quality sites like this one because I want to keep following the game to some extent.

What about your experience? Do you have any hope for the future of this game?

I think you gotta clarify for everybody exactly how you've "given up Hearthstone" if you're still playing the game. For many, including myself, those things are contradictory.

posted a message on Cards that you'll miss in rotating sets and new ones in expansion

I'm gonna be missing Valeera the Hollow a lot, card enabled some pretty cool stuff but I don't think it was ever oppressive (yeah, I mostly play Rogue).

posted a message on Warlock is going to suck.......
    Quote from Greenwitch >>

All warlock cards are garbage............Warlock will be the weakest class by far in the new expansion.

    Rafaam?? RNG.

    Rafaam's Scheme?? Garbage.

Evil Genius?? All eggs have rotated out.

    Underling?? Weak fungalmancer.

Fel Lord Betrug?? Very slow and does nothing.

I'm so glad you told us! Now no one has to try playing Warlock it's already been decided it's going to suck!
    Thank you good sir!

posted a message on Standard is boring, wild is wild... we need something in between

More and different modes would undoubtedly be awesome, though I fear, as Fluxflashor also touched upon, the creation of more modes would dilute the players, and I don't really think any one of us are fans of queues in this game.

However, I do condone an idea of a friendly casual mode wherein you'd be able to set the rules of the games.

posted a message on What are you going to do with your dust?!?

I never disenchant extras until I actually need the dust.
As per usual I'm probably gonna:

    1) Craft whatever cards for Rogue I didn't get, cause Rogue is the shizzle.

    2) Wait til I see some sort of strong deck that looks fun to play, and craft whatever I'm missing from that deck.

posted a message on How much did you spend on this game?

I voted $200-$500, I'm not quite sure about the actual amount though, as I've generally been trying to use Blizzard Balance earned from World of Warcraft tokens, and didn't really start using any sort of money till like Whispers of the Old Gods.

3 packs of the "4 common, 1 rare, no golden"-kind. That's alright, I don't really wanna use my luck on rotating expansions anyway :P

posted a message on Why are people suddenly moaning & bickering against Priest?
    Quote from Logical_Troll >>

Suddenly all threads are appearing on hearthpwn where users are tilted from playing against Priest. I mean what is this? Why this sudden outrage? Are they and I playing the same game.?

One example saying Barnes & Mind blast being OP.

    https://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/general-discussion/230428-barnes-mind-blast

First of all  Barnes  is already in Wild. And from experience (I have been exclusively playing wild for last couple of seasons) I have hardly (read not at all) encountered a Barnes  Mind Blast priest. Yes I have encountered lots of & lots of Big Priest. Even once dominating highlander priest is rare on ladders.

Second thread about priest being OP

    https://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/general-discussion/231255-no-respect-for-priest-decks-or-this-game-anymore

I mean really? Do you really want to argue that Priest is OP? Whose best weapon is a lower 2nd Tier deck (in Standard Gallery Priest & in wild Big Priest) that Priest?

All these hates Priest gets are unsubstantiated. I have my doubts that those who are frustrated against Priest don't play this game at all.

People aren't "suddenly moaning & bickering against Priest", they've been doing that for a while now.
At least I've seen people complain about Big Priest for a long time.
