Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
I remember them, though not fondly. As much as I welcome the existence of 'real aggro' decks, the issue is the games are super fast so they get over-represented in the meta and way too many games are just survival and end before you are able to do anything you actually plan to do with your deck.
If they are scattered here and there but aren't 40%+ of games I am all for them making a return.
If no aggro decks exist then what would you call murlock mage and odd paladin? there may be an argument for calling odd paladin a midrange deck (although I don't agree with it), but I don't see how you can argue that murloc mage is anything but aggro.
Oh I remember those days. It was so much fun getting killed on turn 4 and not having time to do anything interesting with your deck.
These kinds of decks ( hyper aggro ) shouldn't have ever existed in my opinion. They promote linear and non-interactive gameplay that is 0 fun to play against. It also makes RNG decide more games since the opening hand is exponentially more important when the games last so little you get to see so much less of your deck. In other words if you get a bad hand through RNG , it has way less time to correct itself over a few turns.
So I am very thankful Blizzard nerfed this nonsense and is very hesitant to print good hyper aggro cards.
try running those decks and see if the can win or turn 4 like u say. they were able to do it cause there was no defensive options, now with stonehill tar creeper, early aoe removal etc and healing aggro decks can usually only lethal u on turn 6 .
Even in unnerfed versions, I don't think they would have been viable in any format today. Blame these guys, heal, armor and lifesteal cards:
About the full-face aggro decks, it has annoyed me too that obvious tempo/midrange decks like odd paladin is called aggro, but I have almost come to peace with it knowing aggro is a fairly relative term. Even if the most aggressive face decks are not viable, some decks are still more aggressive than others.

It has been a while :( ...
Today everything is called "aggro" which plays minions before turn 4. -.-
PS: Added PW in the list. Sorry, that I forgot about this legendary deck. This list doesn`t claim to be complete. ;)
'' (...) take a walk to the wild side ''
"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"Have you ever seen the kobold, voodoo doctor, happy ghoul opener? That's aggro enough.
Tbh, I think most players agree that dying on turn 4 or 5 is bot a fun way to play this game even though you might feel different.
Occasionally gives helpful advice.
Zoolock
Odd Hunter
Your "true" aggro still exists...

There are a few aggressive decks out nowadays, but nothing like the Patches era
If your curve is higher than 3 mana, are you really playing aggro?

2 and 3 mana cards? I see you've finally decided to play control decks.
Those decks don't win on turns 4/5 like face hunter/pirate warrior used to.
Murloc mage doesn't win on turn 4/5? Are you serious? I've certainly lost a couple games that quickly to murloc mage.
Odd rogue in wild definitely qualifies as aggro.
Still better than Odd CW, BSM or CW, and druids of course.
Current so called Aggro decks are actually midrange/tempo decks. Those were the aggro decks, decks that could lethal you on turn 4.

u crazy, theres still a lot of aggro here, turn 1 minions turn 3 can play 3 minions theres a lot more with tokens or minons that duplicate themselves.

I do. Those days sucked.
