posted a message on HearthPwn's Battlegrounds Hero Tier List
    Quote from Scarifar >>

Anyone who's played Battlegrounds for a decent amount of time can tell you that Ragnaros has (arguably) the weakest hero power in the game. If you're lucky, one of those two fireballs he shoots out can pop a divine shield or maybe even kill a key minion like Baron Rivendare or Scavenging Hyena, but in the late game where almost everything has 20+ hp, it's usually a waste of two gold.

There are heroes whose hero powers are pure early game. I would count yogg (ranked 6 here) and sindragosa and maybe curator and patchwerk as those. That doesnt mean they are bad, the early game push can be a massive advantage. just saying "hero is worth nothing late game" is a little easy. Rag has a decent early and midgame power.

Maybe the system of how to rank heroes is tiered should be overhauled. the heroes with the worst average ranks are highest tier, boosted by the high pick rate, which obviously correlates with the win rate.

It should be win per pick instead, or use average rank instead. seems weird to do it like this.

Looking at the data. Shudderwock seems lowkey OP, which reminds me if standard :)

Balanced card. Let's add it to battlegrounds.

Hmm. It still fails to offer nozari and gives alex instead. Nozari is a good card. He should now that.

I am unsure about increasing the mana cost on fleshshaper. the 9 mana evolve pool looks scary. 18 minions including ysera, king crush and more rush minions. I think there has be another way.

There are around 100 million Hearthstone players.

The Hearthpwn community makes up about .00001% of them.

I'm sorry that some of you feel this expansion "sucks", "is too powerful", etc.  My experience is that I am having a hell of a good time trying Dragonbane hunter, Shu'ma quest hunter, Galkrond shaman, Galakrond rogue, pirate warrior, treeant druid, and a few others.  This meta is just a few days old.  This bitching and moaning about things happens after every expansion comes out.  The early powerhouses will subside as decks are refined.  Keep calm, play on, and most importantly have fun.  It's a game.  If you aren't having fun, take a step back from it.

You are aware of the nerf announcement, are you? Maybe, just maybe, sometimes the bitching is justified. I rarely bitch (last two times were sn1p sn4p and shudder), but to be honest experimentation was NEVER as little fun as in this expansion.

I am, and that's fine.  Some tweaks here and there are probably needed.  This doom and gloom shit, however, is tired.  The game is fine.  The developers make mistakes sometimes.  It happens.  It doesn't mean the sky is falling.  Your experience with experimentation being stifled is subjective, just like mine of enjoying things right now is subjective.  My point is that out of 100 million players, the infintesimaly small amount of them represented here is not an accurate representation of the player base, and by and large it seems players are happy.  Check out Reddit and other avenues for HS discussion to see what I mean.  Hearthpwn is a unique community in that, overall, we are fairly whiney.

I agree with most of your points and they are well expressed. this community is sometimes having a hard time to get the complaints right. If most of the players are happy, that is also fine. Still, I feel lile expressing frustations is good feedback.

Personally, I had a shitty experience. Build 12 decks and ran into 25 / 30 shamans (7 in a row) and I went back to battlegrounds, because it was just not much fun tbh. Hope I have another shot next week.

Thank god. I wonder how this went through testing though? I mean, it can happen, but this is obviously something they must have testes a lot, since they showcases and enabled the deck.

Honestly, I am just glad and hope we will have that glorious experimentation phase without dealing with countless 8/8s all the time.

posted a message on Galakrond Shaman is stealing all the potential from new and creative decks yet to be played!

    Highlander Dragon Druid.

Standard Dragon Druid running double Embiggen.

    Both easy wins against Shaman.

This I’m curious about.  I figured druid would have the worst time with their lack of good board clears.

Shaman doesn't put out enough early game damage for Druid to worry. Even if you manage to play just one Embiggen, as soon as that quest gets completed it's basically game over for Shaman. There's no way they can come back from dealing with constant massive minions on board.

Unless you draw absolute dickhouse, it should be an easy win.

Embiggen Dragon Priest was my most played deck so far and I can confirm that the lack of board sweepers really really hurt this matchup. I have lost matches with ramp, double embiggen, double incubator guy due to the large swing turns. 4 8/8s plus shudder is still game over.

I can confirm (as a legend player) that this comment is obviously wrong.

Edit: also, if you look at the data (77.4% winrate vs dragon, 71.7% vs. quest), you can see that dragon druid gets their ass kicked. Unless majora has figured out a way to play like a semi god than he maybe just got a bit lucky.

posted a message on Shaman is not that strong
    Quote from jsager99 >>

The issue is, Galakrond is never in a vacuum in a shaman--you are ether facing an aggro overload shaman or quest shaman that is capable to putting down a massive power spike. As both quest shaman and aggro shaman are very good decks, adding Galakrond on top of their existing game is really powerful. Sure, you can save removals for those 8/8s but this disrupts your ability to deal with the rest of the deck.

I couldnt agree more with this comment. It is not about saving a few removals, we are not that dumb. You use mass removal wenn you have to. But the shell ist just insanely strong. Wolfs, a thousand lackeys, overload. There is a lot of shit to handle.

It's too early to decide whether this needs to be nerfed, but not too early to see that's going to be a T1 deck(s). Battlecry shaman basically was tier 1 /2 from day 1 of saviors. The power of day 1 did not overpromise either. And galakron is just nuts.

posted a message on DoD Meta Report Is Out :D

The reload potential is just insane. I played dragon druid (I know, not the strongest deck) and everything went perfectly. early ramp, embiggen, early ysera and was constantly putting out giant drangons and removal (crowd roaster, evasive dragon) in giant form and I still lost convingly, because I could not handle Galakron followed by shudder. They have burn, lifegain, tempo cards.

Hard to see how any deck beats the consistent tempo, value and tools od shaman right now.

Seeing that there is 4 shaman versions out there, some more value, some more aggro, it will be really hard to find a tech card.
