It’s not that it kills hype, the irksome bit is that it fast tracks the exploration. Before the set is even launched so many decks have already been seen and playtested.

There is a small window in this game where people are actually being creative before every deck becomes a carbon copy of each other and dull, and these streams shorten that window.

Hate to break it to you, but decks are theorycrafted and playtested in emulators before the release of every expansion, and people look to the pros for decklists on day one. Showing some games on Twitch doesn't change that at all.

It does bother me that Blizzard is showing such blatant favoritism to its precious influencers, but all I have to do is not watch.

It might be true, but you cant possible claim that emulators have the same reach as youtube videos with combos, sounds, animation. The barrier now is 0, while I would never download an emulator and test myself. And I did not need to in the past cause 98% were just like me and started from scratch with opening the boosters.

I hate that the theorycrafting and testing takes place without me interacting with the super fresh metagame, seeing the cards for yourself, hearing the sound. All happens on stream instead of in my game.

"Just dont watch" is the same as saying "just dont netdeck". Other people will watch and will have a knowledge advantage. There are already the first decklists posted here.

So I totally agree that one of the most fun experiences (super fresh expansions) is watered down. I wish this would not happen.

I think this card has a place in zoo priest. No one has mentioned potion vendor yet. There are a few 1 cost healing minions that can help you complete the quest while maintaining board control. Also squashling maybe? Using the new priest legendary you can keep health high and hopefully complete the quest on turn 5-6 depending on consistency. Is that good enough? Zoo priest might be better off without the quest but we will see.

The problem is that you have a deck that runs squashling and potion vendor. If you go against say control warrior they might not leave up damaged minions and you can proactively squashling ×5 against a dynomatic.

Best option is to run a bunch of reborn minions, I guess.

If this fits naturally into a deck...fine. if not there is a threshold on how much ypu can warp your deck.

Meta defining by 57%? That seems a bit high.

The general power level reminds me a bit of lady in white. Large payoff, but you have to run a bunch of shitty cards to achieve this.

Will be fun to make this work, but it is in no way a broken auto include.

Best thing about this card is that it nerfs sea giant conjurers.

but floop would use a space in the board

It's a 3/4 you can probably trade it or swipe it. Unless your opponent stops playing stuff. In which cade you probably won as well.

So hear me out. You go Druid with the regular draw shell. After your deck is in proper highlander form you double 2 of those with elise. Then you floop next turn. Third turn, you are good to go!

Alternatively, you start in highlander format and just go infinete with floops.

Wait. This is a 10 mana card. So is Sea Giant.

So, you play Conjurer's Calling on a Sea Giant and you can get two of these?

No, I think tokens are generally out of the pool. Has no collectable gem.

Do. Want. I dont care. I will lose like 2747 games with this, before I have a glorious moment in the sun.

Question: how does this interact with dormant minions. I assume a dormant minion breaks this effect, right?

What is the current combo pool like? It's not so big, is it? The new weapon, headcrack, si7, evis, evil miscreant, rading party, buccaneer? What else?

Puzzle box, power of creation, book of specters? In the end the 5 5 might not be worth it.

Man, this brings me back to the days, when people complained there is no counter to highlander. Now there is a counter in the meta (not neutral, just one deck) and people are angry, too. Must be hard to be blizzsometimes.
