Because the Quest and Jade Idol are badly designed. When you play control, you have to make so many decisions: clear board or not, play this card or not,... Unlike tempo play, which requires less skill, control play really offers fun and train your brain more than aggro and combo.

Whenever I want to climb I hate queueing into control decks, mainly because the games are 2 to 3 times longer.

This game is ridiculously dumbed down regardless. It's just a curve fiesta. Control has all the removal they could possibly ask for and no longer have to decide at which moment they need to use them. Control and combo decks are the Rick and morty of hearthstone.

I pray for unnerfing Warsong Commander for Hall of Fame, because i'm a wild player and pre-nerf Patron Warrior was probably my favorite deck. I don't have too much expirience at control decks, i only played control priest, dont really like CW, but i can say that you also have to make desicions while playing a combo deck. So why complaining about ENTIRE DECKS builded around its wincondition is fine, despite having some heavy counters to them, but complaining about certain cards that can be just played in any deck (like Dirty Rat, Demonic Project, Skulking Geist, Rin, Eater of Secrets, Gnomeferatu, weapon destruction, etc) without any counterplay (there is no card that says "shuffle a card that you burned that game into your deck" is not? Why am I villian here and not you?

Divine Favor, Dirty Rat, Gnomeferatu, Demonic Project, Counterspell, Rogue's burgle-package, Shaman's hero power, Mage's spell generators, Kingsbane, Coldlight Oracle, Naturalize, Nozdormu, Ragnaros the Firelord, The Lich King, Inner Fire, Loatheb, Skulking Geist, Rin, the First Desciple, Knife Juggler, Barnes - thats just on top of my mind. It doesnt mean that those cards should be nerfed. I do understand that some people actually enjoy playing it, despite the fact that I think they ruined hearthstone as well (also Jade Golems in general, as i said, I would like Jade Idol, if it would be the only card that generates Jade Golems). I have a friend, who bought Naxx back than to play Undertaker Hunter, because he liked that deck and than droped the game because it was nerfed. The point is - people like different things and cards shouldnt be nerfed because some control players have problems with their hard counters. Yes, patron warrior was obviously op, because he ate both aggro and control, but quest rogue? It loses hard to aggro, so it have counterplay. Following this logic, aggro should be destroyed, because its countering quest rogue, sounds stupid, right? So when control players complaining about quest rogue because it destroys their decks, it also sounds stupid to me
On the current state of the game, the only superior players IMO are the ones playing Espionage Rogue or other meme decks.
The game is full of bullshit. Shamans have Shudernnaningans, or they can fill they board with crap and transform them in big legendaries, or deal 21+ damage to your face with Bloodlust, Priest can copy your cards and your deck over and over, Druids can generate more armour than Warriors, can perform a lot of combos or can spam the board with buffed crap, Rogues have their 4/4s or their Jade Bunnies, and so on.
