So, I got really curious to find out how old players we are and I suppose so do you.Vote in the poll above so we can get our answers!
Write down in the comments when did you become a relatively good player(reached rank 10, 5 or Legend) Let us know your history!
Personally, I started playing October 2017. I have read all the guides tips and budget decks on the internet but didn’t achieve high ranks and remained an ordinary noob. This seaseon, May 2018, I suddenly opened Genn Greymane from a pack and looked at Reno Jackson’s Wild Even Shaman. And there the game begins(recognised Onyx Bishop ?) from rank 22 in Wild, that deck carried me all the way down to rank 4! And a Standard version got me rank 10. If I hadn’t sent a friend invite to a recently played opponent, I would have never reached this high. He supported me to keep playing and get higher ranks, as without his help, I would have stopped at rank 15. I hope we will al reach Legend some day and wish we had more kind people in Hearthstone))
So what about your stories ?

First time Legend: 31 August 2018 using Odd Control Warrior
I started in vanilla, came for the Hearthsteed promotion in WoW, played some games and thought it was pretty good but I didn't have the time to continue playing.
I returned after Naxxramas, by some pure chance I was looking for Yugioh deckbuilders online and somehow ended up on a Hearthstone one and came up with a bunch of deck ideas I just had to try.
I bought Naxxramas, had Reincarnate Shaman as my first semi-serious deck and I've been playing ever since.
I quit WoW long ago, but I still enjoy the Warcraft universe...having played Warcraft 1 and 2 as a kid and then moving onto Warcraft 3, WoW and now Hearthstone. Guess I have to keep up the trend!
Somewhere between, when the game came out officially and when Naxxramas was released.
The poll is fairly thorough...minus the one option that most "old-timers" will fall under lol. I am also from Vanilla.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
I'm surprised by the results, I was under the impression there was a lot of new players when Ungoro came out from posts I read here.
I started the day LOE came out and I was having so much fun around rank 22 with a Summoning Stone Shaman, until I crafted Antonidas and went tempo mage all day. I was so unlucky with unpacking legendaries at the time, my first three: Hemett, Lorewalker then Mukkla....
I started playing about a week after old goes came out, I my g guest rank was rank 12 in ungoro, and then in kobolds, I got rank 8, and have hovered around rank 10-15 since.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
My brother showed me the game around Christmas 2015 and I tried it out a couple days later myself, so it was just a bit after LoE launched. I was hooked right from the start, and before the end of the year, I got to rank 20, which I thought was kind of a big deal back then, even though it only took a handful of wins where you can't lose stars. The first time I got to 15 was in March before Old Gods came out, and the first time I got to 10 (techically reached 8) was about a month into WoG. That was also the last time I really bothered playing ladder. I still haven't tried getting to 5, and most months, I'll just get to 15 and ignore ladder for the rest of the month.
Um apparently since Beta off and on only really took to the game in Naxx. Always thought I started in Naxx pretty weird finding out Gelbin was a reward for people purchasing packs during beta.

I don't remember the exact date, but early enough to get the first ranked cardback in 2014. I don't think I did beta though.
I play since closed beta. I never crafted top tier decks, to me they are not fun to play, and never wanted to achieve high ranks. My max rank is 5.
GvG, played mech mage 24/7.
Legend: April 2017, April 2018.
Since beta and I still don't care about hitting legend. The grind just doesn't do it for me at the top end and I get bored too easily.
Having said that i get ladder anxiety when I get to rank 3+ which was a lot worse than it is now. The ladder, not the anxiety.

Same, I started playing a couple of weeks after vanilla officially launched.
I play since open beta.
It's nice to be IMPORTANT,
But it's more important to be NICE!
