I have reached rank 12 so far this month wild with warlock giants and hunter giants. Both are super fun decks and when you are at fatigue and your opponent summons your malganis through your guldan voidcaller and you win it is amazing. My main query is, will this deck ever get me to legend and also, is wild (with naga witch and thaurissian) inherently more fun? Should I worry that my wild rank IS so much ahead of me standard rank?
TL:DR;
Is there anything to be gained from maining on Wild, do you get worse rewards?
Giants Hunter is categorised at tier 3 but I know people that have gotten to legend playing nothing but that deck. Giants warlock is considered better and definitely legend viable as well.
The wild community is smaller but generally friendlier. In addition after the mid season period you don't face too many netdecks pre rank 5. Ever since the split was announced, I jumped in with both feet and never looked back! :)

Thanks for all the comments so far! Except Zanzi69 who seems to be one of the us vs them people who is upset for everybody playing any deck they don't want to face. What a dumb way to experience a game and/ or life.
Often on these boards, you'll hear two opinions on Wild:
"Wild is the land of happiness, so much better than Standard. <3"
"Stay away from Wild, it's a wasteland of Dr. Booms and Piloted Shredders!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!1bacon!!!111"
Both of these are rubbish. I'll say it's much more enjoyable than Standard...up until Rank 10+.
Then you'll start running into Naga Sea Witch Warlocks left right and centre, and if you don't have an immediate answer to them you're just dead by turn 5-6.
From Rank 5+ it's an Aggrofest with people trying to hit Legend, which can be kind of fun if you're playing a deck that can hold up against Aggro, but it gets old quick.
Personally I slightly prefer Wild because some of my favourite cards are there. Whether you enjoy it is up for you to decide. Give it a go.
Wild is more fun if you like to build your own deck. Or if your favorite deck is no longer in standard. Simple as that. The meta snapshot and statistical site show a lot less skewed result and a much larger variety of decks. Also, the meta shift much faster and a good deck for a deck might not be good enough the next day. Which make it very exciting, because it is occupied by a pool of players with large card collection. So unlike Standard which people stick to budget effective meta aggro decks, you run into a larger variety of decks. If you prefer a slower pacing game, with more thinking, but require a large card collection go ahead. You can hit legend with your own decks much more easily there.
If you play more wild, standard is more fun, if you always play standard, wild can be fun.
While the ladders are similar, different decks are being somewhat played on the 2 ladders. Once you get tired of one ladder, you can check the other one.
In my experience, it is easier to rank up in wild.
That being said, legend 1-1000 and ranks 1-3 are cutthroat on both ladders.
I don't find giants naga deck efficient in wild, but it wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong. You should be able to reach legend if you play long enough, but aggro decks should destroy you. If after rank 5-3 meta is mostly aggro, you should switch decks.
As everyone else said, you get the same rewards in wild as in standard, it doesn't really matter where you rank up.

Hey man, you play whatever the hell you want. Just saying what you mind find fun, others might not. So to answer your question whether wild is more fun than standard; Yes if you enjoy playing and facing Wild (and possibly broken) decks.

Reality is, these new spawned "giant decks" were never intended. Blizzard will stand by their decision so they don't look dumb, and say "we made this change for consistency". But come on. Nobody enjoys a game that's over by turn 5. Even for those who are on the winning side, at a certain point they must ask, is this actually fun?
To all the people claiming giants are a turn 5 game over, have you ever played or faced a giants deck on multiple occasions? I have played warlock giants enough that I can honestly say I had a game that went to fatigue and the only reason I won was Mal'Ganis wasn't a Gul'Dan res and he got brought onto the field from a void caller and let me win when I was fatigued. I honestly believe any deck from aggro pal (or murloc pal now) to raza (or cube lock) requires some skill to know when to hold a card/ when to play it. Can't we all enjoy the opponents' plays? Or are we all destined to hate everybody and wait until the meta (wild or standard) is 1 deck that auto wins and we are all happy?
Playing those two decks may be fun for you but it's certainly not fun for you opponents.
I'm sure you're going to suggest that they play Reno Priest or Control Lock instead right?
Control decks can be just as "not fun" to play against as highroll and combo decks. There are big discrepancies among the classes in terms of just how many removal tools and value generators each class has access to.

Actually I do like to take a break from my OTK and control decks sometimes to play a nice aggro deck or a tempo deck. Having a change is nice sometimes.
If we never had games that ended early on all we'd end up with is the filth that is Reno Priest (ie forced to kill the opponent 3-4 times and going past fatigue after dealing with brutal attrition and value wars with N'Zoth boards, multiple copied/stolen cards).

Same rewards as standard for your ladder climb.

It's more fun if I have a Warrior or Shaman quest to do ;)
This whole giants mechanic is broken no fun playing against this kind of decks which is just in ya face if you dont have clear rdy is noxious for hs
Wild is more fun than Standard ! :)
I am sorry that I singled you out. Thank you for replying to a thread I created and your opinions definitely deserve merit! Sorry I was an arse!
