Why do people not understand that a healthy meta needs both? My friend actually insulted me just seeing that i'm playing hunter (that's actually mid range) all the while he decides to build a "cancer priest deck" that I'm sure is a netdeck anyways. I was actually playing my own custom priest deck and rank 15 and got tired of every game stretching to over 15 minutes rather.
If the game/meta was only built around control then very few people would play the game. I'm a control player who is currently sat playing an aggro/mid-range deck. All types of decks are fine, however 'face, face, face' decks are stupid and promote negative gameplay. But if it was just control then HS would fail because 99% of the player base don't have time to sit and play 1 hour control games. I play and work with video games for a living but I guess I'm one of the lucky few, but if I had a different job I doubt my boss would come over and ask what I was playing while I got on with what I was doing.
Control warrior was one of my favorite decks to play because it felt like I had to weigh my decisions most turns instead of blindly curving out, but I think certain aggro/midrange decks can be just as interesting.
My only problem with aggro is that it tries to end the game before a lot of interesting cards are able to be played, but it's SUCH a satisfying feeling to shut out aggro openers as control so it's hard for me to pick one side of the argument.

People are just mad that Blizz still hasnt done anything about the problem, thats always better to play an aggressive deck due to gametime.
If you win 55% with fast decks its still more value than winning 58% with a control deck and i think thats basically the reason why many control players are mad.
I agree that meta should be diverse as possible, it's completly natural and i'm all for it. But reason why control players take moral high ground against certain agroo decks (I'm looking at you PW) is that they require 0 decision making. You can write a program to play the game for you like if there is taunt attack taunt else go face. You don't have to plan up ahead, you just adapt to mana curve.
Ofcourse i'm taking PW as an example, other agroo decks are somewhat more skill oriented.
The funniest part of all of it is that control players should welcome more aggro decks. A properly built control deck should eat aggro for breakfast.
There are exceptions where an aggro deck achieves a favorable rating against control. In such cases, one or more of the following is probably true:
The "control deck" being beaten is actually closer to midrange.
The "aggro deck" in question is actually closer to midrange.
There is a real balance problem that allows the aggro deck to achieve more value than aggro should have (Pirate Warrior).
So anytime I see a self-proclaimed "control player" complaining about aggro generally, failing to specifically mention item 3 above, I know I'm dealing with someone who may not understand the game as well as he think he does, despite all the so-called "skill" it takes to run his control deck.

"Why, you never expected justice from a company, did you? They have neither a soul to lose nor a body to kick." -- Lady Saba Holland
Because Blizzard fails to make aggro somewhat difficult. The only remotely difficult aggrodeck I can think of is zoo. What are the aggro decks currently? Aggro druid and pirate warrior. Both decks for braindead fucks.
And no one plays aggro because a healthy meta needs it. People play aggro because it's easy and fast.
When will people actually understand, that aggro is not merely going face?
I certainly prefer control over the other deck archetypes, but aggro belongs to the meta just as much as midrange, combo etc. There will never be a "control meta" just as much as there will never be an "aggro meta". We should hope for a diverse meta instead, like the one we had with Ungoro
You can play whatever you like as long as you behave like a decent human being,That's why aggro players deserve all the hate they get.I play the game since vanilla and my friends play since beta,we all agree that douchebags tend to choose aggro. Not that there aren't control or combo douchebags but come on,almost 1 in every three games against aggressive decks the opponent is mental.Spamming like an imbecile, roping before lethal, roping when he has one card and somethimes adding to flame.I have seen control players do the same but it is sooo much rarer. And the reason for that is that there are three categories of aggro players:
a)The tryhards(the biggest category). They want to win no matter what, play the game all day long to farm ranks but since they are just an average joe, they are getting pissed when they lose and become toxic. They become even more toxic when other toxic players do the same to them.
b)The fun police. There're dipshits out there that have fun, ruining others people fun.Playing against face decks is no fun for the majority of players so they choose aggro.
c)There are also the new players but they are few and you dont see them below rank 15
The real thing that creates this scenario where "because of you(aggro) the game is no fun" is how once an aggro deck either successfully rushes down their opponent or irrevocably loses control of the game and concede, control or midrange players cant play their cool combo/awesome legendary/reason they play hearthstone at all.
Uhm... But there already was an aggro meta. Several, actually. The fieldtrip to Satan's anus on Hitler's baby tear powered wagen Gadgetzan's meta is a good example of one.

i tried zoo once and got to rank 4 so quickly and easily that i started to ask myself why do i try hard with priest and other slow shit while i can just throw my whole board and win, all that to say : zoo is easy af

There's also people who adapt to the meta and play a deck that is strong in local meta, got to legend first time cause I noticed everyone is playing midrange (karazhan) but nobody is playing anti aggro tools so took a big win streak with aggro, was playing midrange before that.
not everyone is toxic, I hate losing but I never add people to insult them
The control moral high ground is much like a craft beer guy. In reality it is simply a preference, but because craft beer people pay more and tend to drink more of a variety they look down on people who just want to have cheap beer with the mates and get trashed as quickly as possible. Aggro players just want some quick and fun games to get ranks, but control players feel like they dont get the satisfaction as quickly or easily despite having the same goal.
At least that is my view as a control player. I still sneak a game or two of my favorite aggro now and again (same with cheap beer).
The problem is that a single 5 minute aggro victory gives the same reward as a 20+ minute control victory. In this scenario, only a fool wouldn't play aggro, you could get 4 wins in the time a control player got one. Also Blizzard's obsession with high-value 1 drops while high mana cards get shafted constantly is ridiculous. A high mana card should get additional benefits just for being high mana, because you had to wait almost half of the game before you could use it. Just look at the power creep in 3 drop taunts while high mana cards barely see play because they're just bad, unless they were overwhelmingly powerful like Dr. Boom was.

Control players
Aggro and Jade Druid players
The higher ground is based on the bias for which a longer strategy involves more intellect.
Hence a biased Control player (not all of them are!) thinks he is more clever than you. And if you beat him, it is unfair.
