I was previously feeling rather optimistic about this expansion, an its potential to slow down the meta, but some of the recent reveals are beginning to kill my hype.
I was most dissapointed by mean streets and most hyped for un'goro, Most surprised and happy for un'goro despite all that hype setting my expectations high and most jaded about karazhan. This expansion is interesting but not a big hype train, I really feel like anything they do that is groundbreaking has more of a chance to screw things up than help, so the mediocre innovation is something I can deal with. I am interested that the year title has been thematic for both this and last expansion, Which I was annoyed by them not doing last year.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
As a F2P player thats been stuck with budget aggro decks since 2014, I couldn't be more thrilled with this expansion! I finally have thousands of dust saved ready to create whatever will be the most tier 1 deck once the meta settles.
Here's why in order:
1. Adventure is free! No need to spend thousands of gold just to get that one card I need or looking for workarounds.
2. Three free packs, 1 free legendary, 1 legendary in the first 10 packs.
3. Fire and frost festivals, nothing said.
4. I love arthas' story and have been waiting for a lich king expansion from the very start.
5. I dont CARE if the entire expansion turns out to be garbage, that just means I have less new cards to potentially buy! There's so many decks I couldn't afford to explore in previous metas I'd be happy to just catch up.

80g traders: just challenge me straight away Ive been here for years I wont scam you :)
Feel free to feel whatever you want. I'm going to enjoy the expansion. I've actually found the designs in this set to be among the more nuanced and subtly creative.
Well i was really hyped for this expansion, primarly because of its theme, (ARTHAAAAAAAAS WHERE DID THIS GO WRONG). And i don't wanna be too fast to judge until the whole set comes out, cause lot of cards just can't be judged on their own
I'm liking a lot of the cards printed so far, particularly as a Druid main. However, worth saying that we have threads like this for every single expansion. You're more than entitled to your opinion - and I totally appreciate that it wasn't some ranting whining post, just, worth noting. We've got many MANY cards to go yet...
As I and others have already mentioned, Priest is getting bad spells to directly deal with Lyra the Sunshard, whether they admit it or not.
Actually Devour Mind is not bad if you get it from thin air. But, yes with these high cost spells, you won't be able to chain a lot of spells with Lyra.
Any card is okay as long as it's free, but this card is a massive tempo loss; I'd argue it's even worse in Arena.
cabalist tome and Nourish it's practically the same thing... It honestly might not be bad

G=Good B=Bad Do you see the pattern? Every second expansion is always trash.
I'm not impressed with the set too much to be honest, it feels a lot like TGT so far. I think I'll invest 5k in 50 packs and just craft the few playable cards, thankfully most of the Legendaries and Epics have been awful so this set is going to be as cheap as chips.
I think people get too hung up on evaluating the cards before they’re released and see play. Some of the cards seem like they'll be a lot of fun to play around with and see what decks people can put together, and some seem like they won't see much play at all. I'm more hyped about the recent changes Blizzard has been making like eliminating duplicate legendaries from packs, a guaranteed legendary from the first 10 packs of a set, free PvE content and the recent arena focus. Even if most of the new cards fizzle after a month or so it's almost always fun to see the meta shaken up for a bit.
This Expansion adds lots of Cards who look crappy at first but could become very strong in right Decks... sure if you loved Cthun Decks cuz they auto-build themself this Exp would suck for you :D That instant win Minion vs Jade Druide could also enable other Combo Decks by removing all the shitty 1 cost spells and increase chance for gettin your combo pieces etc..... think outside of the box
I like and fear the disrupt mechanics of warlock and the 1 spell killer, there will be some pretty control/combo killers ... interactions with your opponents deck are extremly strong... anything other looks not exciting.
no way near as hyped as un'goro and I loved this expansion in WoW.

No those neutral legendary's are bad. Most cards seems fit for arena but not ladder.
I always like rotation expansions the best.
This is the first expansion I haven't preordered since the I started playing during Old Gods are year ago. I realize I still can. I do have 4K gold.
Maybe I"m having less fun by not opening packs too...

I'm loving all the changes and promo stuff they've been adding and are going to add to the game. All they need now are daily login rewards.
What we've seen of the expansion itself? Meh. Looks like a whole lot of pack fillers.

Nice Card Blizzard

G: Goblins V Gnomes , Old Gods, unguro
B: TGT, gadgetzan, Knights (Unreleased so MAYBE)
Whatever - I am really happy so far.
Deathseer Thrall is just cool and there are already many released cards that fit perfectly into several of my existing decks.
I'm not too enthusiastic about the whole DK-theme, but at least I'm not dissappointed either!

When it comes to Warlock, not at all. I am hoping his DK makes up for things.
Mage has been meh as well. But I am mostly bothered about her DK. But I am not going to complain too much, because she still got some decent cards.

Not excited. There's just so many useless cards. Very weak expansion compared to previous ones.
Don't believe me? Check after a month how many new cards are seeing play in Wild.
As a pure Mage, obviously not... only mere garbage!!
gg bli$$ard
Why don't people like the mage dk?.... I got the hype.
