Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
I'm still not sure about the way they're phrased, but I've had an idea like this since I found the art months ago:
"Same position" simply means where they are in your hand; for example:
Your second, third, and fifth card are minions, while your opponent's second, fourth, and fifth card are minions.
The 4-mana spell would summon either the second or fifth card for each player; the 8-mana spell would summon the second AND the fifth card for each player.
The card functions to drop minions from your hand and/or to Dirty Rat your opponent at the same time. Big Priest is an obvious benefactor, but you could use it in a Quest Priest to drop a heavy Deathrattle.

So the 1st card is Ancestor's Call, but a bit more complicated (+ conditional)? :D
I get your idea, but dunno. I think I like the second spell the most, but I don't know how powerful it will be in Big/Spiteful priest and I can't decide if this costing 8 mana is too much in other scenarios - cuz you are also helping your opponent.

I know we had a Druid overdose last week, but my idea cannot fit in any other class. It basically lets you mulligan your left most or your right most card in your hand.
If anyone can find a way to explain the effect in a shorter or more elegant fashion, it will be very welcome.
Also, I'm considering to make it cheaper, as the effect can be really useful in the early game.

For adaptive incantation i wanted to include equipping a 3/1 weapon if it's a weapon, but there was too much text. It's probably too weak. I'm not sure if i should make it better than Frostbold/ decent 2 drops or i should make it weaker because it is situational. Shadow Codex would transform itself immediately after you draw it and change accordingly to what you play. If it somehow end being the left-most card (you played everything you drew before it) then it's a dead card, but it can act as a third copy of something.
EDIT: Obviously, the disco refers to the discard mechanic, but the "dancer"-part was also ment as a reference to the left-right mechanic (as dance steps).

The card seems good, and I can't think of any better way to phrase it. The text isn't 100% up to regular Choose One standards, but any-other alterations will require additional words that you don't have space for.

Shadow Codex should really say "This is a copy of the right-most card", for the very reasons you described: if it ever becomes the left-most card, it's worthless for the rest of the game. Anyone unfortunate enough to mulligan the card into a bad spot will immediately come here to complain about it :/
I like Adaptive Incantation, and it seems decently balanced, but I wonder if it's overkill for the Mage: she is already a very versatile class with access to numerous damage spells. Beyond that a minor complaint I have is the summoning-an-Elemental part: it doesn't play well with the Elemental's tribal mechanic (summoning will not help you trigger "If you played an Elemental last turn" Battlecries, nor work toward the Lesser Ruby Spellstone). All of that being said, I do like the card and would probably vote for it anyway.

For all those weirdos who for some arcane reason enjoy Discard-lock, this seems like a godsend. Anything to make the discard mechanic less of a crap-shoot would be welcome...although the left-most card is usually the oldest, meaning you've been sitting on it waiting for the right time/enough mana to play it. Bloodreaver Gul'dan, for example :P

The effect is very original, but you have so little information about the outcome of the card that it could just be random.
However, comparing card positions of both players is really cool, and I think a really legit idea could come out of it.

Both are allright, but I prefer Shadow Codex, it's more elegant, IMO. I don't like the fact that it can become a dead card, so I'd make it so that it doesn't count itself.
I can really see this card winning the competition, honestly. The reason why Discolock failed is because it gave you very little control over your discards, and this card plays around that.
The only issue I have with it is that the effect doesn't feel like a Common, especially considering it lasts for the rest of the game.

I made it left-most so to let you keep powercards in hand and copy them with this. It becoming a dead card i think it's ok because it can be ridiculous in control decks (second and third copy of reno for example) but i didn't think about the mulligan situation. I made it elemental because that's kinda mage's thing lately and i couldn't think of a generic minion to spawn from a spell (maybe a skeleton? slime?)
EDIT: Obviously, the disco refers to the discard mechanic, but the "dancer"-part was also ment as a reference to the left-right mechanic (as dance steps).
Ok everybody, pack your bags, this guy already won. This i can bet 100 dolars will end up at least in the finalist thread. The only problem i could see is that it's a permanent effect on a common minion. people won't play 2 of these, so you might as well make it legendary, as the effect certanly feels legendary. Or at least epic. Common is waaaay too cheap for this.

Thanks :) The idea definitely still needs some work, and you're right about the lack of information: the only thing you'd know for a fact is whether or not the card is currently playable, via the yellow glow. Other than that, you would have to figure out on your own which minion it will summon (assuming you had more than one).

@Noah_McGrath I prefer the first card. Versatility is one of Mages main theme, I really like it, though I d prefer something like 2 mana Deal 3vdamage to a minion if... or deal 2 damage to all minions if... because a 2 mana 2/3 elemental isbpretty underwhelming

I would word it "Shuffle the right-most; or left-most card in your hand into your deck. Draw a card" so the things common to both options are on the same side of the choice. The current wording is fine too, though; just be sure to add a semicolon.

It would be more dynamic; instead of just knowing what to copy and hoping you draw well, you constantly have to evaluate and decide if the card you just drew is worth copying. Just some thoughts. Also the art should be more centered on the book.

But don't forget how this supports Big Priest even more. True, it doesn't summon a copy like Eureka! does, but priest already has enough ways to gain value (Eternal Servitude, Resurrect). I mean, who would say no to a turn 3 (turn 2 with The Coin) Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound or Ragnaros the Firelord.
