Wow that was some crazy positive feedback, cheers guys. I hear what you're saying, so I've updated it to a legendary - does it still keep its flavor?
@Linkblade; I see what you're saying with the left/right part, but it just feels more intuitive (imo) that you discard from the left side, while Luna makes you draw from the right side. It also sounds better with from left to right than from right to left ;)
I'll make sure to return the feedback tomorrow or the day after!
You could play stuff from your left side first so that the card you want to copy ends up as the left-most card. Thoughts?
I like the flavour and I think I agree with the mana cost. Initially I thought it was better than Simulacrum, but the outcome for the latter card can be controlled. You might want to change its rarity to epic.
Then again, the oldest (aka the most left) card in your hand might be the least useful one in some cases and transforming it into a combo piece or into Open the Waygate could be kinda problematic.
And after saying this I don't for sure how to evaluate your card any further. It would be best to ask other ppl for their feedback. But consider what I said above.
[edit] Make it the other way around. Right -> Left.
So I have two ideas for this week. Firstly a mage which can deal 3 damage and freeze an enemy minion and second a dealer who switches cards around. Thoughts?

My Entry for this week's Card Design Competition - Season 8.16:

Here's the new version:
absolutely bril, only suggestion ... 'Disco Romulo' has no need to point out he's a dancer?! ;D
This is my initial idea, it can either be a Dirty Rat that steals your opponent's card, a way to cheat out a big card on turn 6, or a 6 mana 7/7. The stats aren't usually important in constructed, which is why I figured I'd push them a bit, but this can also serve as a pretty good arena card.
So I have two ideas for this week. Firstly a mage which can deal 3 damage and freeze an enemy minion and second a dealer who switches cards around. Thoughts?
1st card - sadly, it's not legal. "You must make a card that interacts with hand position ("the left-most minion", "the right-most card", etc.)." But I like the design of this card.
As for the 2nd one - dunno, some players wouldn't enjoy seeing such hand disrupting cards being implemented. In some cases (opponent's left most card being a combo piece) this would be game over for them, especially after waiting and chosing the right time to strike. In comparison to Dirty Rat's 2/6 taunt body this is a lot more fair to play against, but the damage it could cause could vary a lot. Even if it's not used in a control vs combo MU, giving the opponent an unplayable/expensive card would disrupt their gameplan a lot.
Example (kinda meme-ish, but still) - Mecha'thun. A mecha'thun warlock player faces an aggro deck. If he top-decks this dead card, he can swap it with a cheaper one for 2 mana. The stolen card may not be game-changing, but getting rid of a dead card and replacing it with a playable one will certanly impact the course of the game.
[edit] I could even add the following example - ruining the value of your opponent. How? - you play a Fire Fly, this puts a Flame Elemental on the right side of your hand, you swap this token for a board clear or a potentionally powerful minion.
So I got 2 ideas off the bat, whilst Lathy might've beaten me to discard synergy, I feel like this card makes slightly more sense to read and easier to use (no offense Lathy, controllable discard is still something I greatly appreciate nonetheless), thus Unfortunate Experiment was born.
Something I feel like all of really did was just focus on the left or right-most cards, but we could take this prompt a step further with Surge Coil. It would however need to be hard-coded so it wouldn't copy itself if you have multiples in your hand.

i know ive gone to the bare minimum with text/explanation but it would be apparent and visible as the card-costs would change eg Shadow Fiend , OL text added accordingly (until a card is played). The reduction is left to right; leftmost (1)...(2)...(3)...etc. Can imagine some interesting plays :D
PS is this art already in use, looks familiar :/ edit haha got it straight away when i refreshed Air Elemental
I changed the Shadow Codex to be right-most. Thanks for the feedback. Soul Cast is a better Blodbloom (it costs o instead of 2) but you don't have that much control of what you can play. Ink drain is a pre-emptive silence. It costs the same but it has a different target. You can't use it to get rid of buffs on already played minions, but it can cancel powerful battlecries.
(Whoops, forgot the Mech tribe) Initially this was supposed to be something that throws/shoots a Hunk of Junk, but I couldn't find fitting art for that. Not sure if this would really count since it's not direct hand position.
Basically it'd initially make the formerly rightmost card and whatever enters their hand next cost extra until it's played. If the frostbitten player plays the card to its left, the effect moves to its new neighbor just like things like Dire Wolf Alpha buffs. Be careful with Mind Vision and Chameleos; if they copy this, it could be trouble.
Can't find a better art... thoughs on flavor / balance / wording (mostly last one)?
@Teezy I like your card. BUT the "Magic Mirror" theme will be used by a lot of people (e.g. see above) so I d suggest you changing it. For the rest, it's a very good card
@Lathy You already won this competition XD
@Noah_McGrath I prefer the first card. Versatility is one of Mages main theme, I really like it, though I d prefer something like 2 mana Deal 3vdamage to a minion if... or deal 2 damage to all minions if... because a 2 mana 2/3 elemental isbpretty underwhelming
Pls can you help me on wording at least? :P
@Triple_Factorial
I like your card, but it really needs an ability like Stealth, or Divine Shield. Otherwise it's really UP. You can easily reduce its cost to 4 mana
@Noah_McGrath
Among the 3, I prefer the 2nd one, though it's pretty Under Powered. Bloodbloom costs 2 more but you can choose the target and the spell. Why not something like "Cast your left-most spell (target chosen randomly) and discard a card" ?
@ChillofAtom12
It's like a Dragon s Fury with a body. The card is pretty good overall, but I can't see it reaching the Final Poll
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
Thanks for the feedback on Magic Mirror, I'll see about changing it a little bit.
Two other idea's I've had, though I can't make the cards for them right now:
Alarm-o-bot Mk II 3 mana Neutral minion 0/3 Deathrattle: Summon the left-most minion in your hand.
Brain Swapper 2 mana Warlock spell Choose a friendly minion, swap its card text with that of the left-most minion in your hand.
I'll make the card art for them when I have a bit more time later. Any thoughts?
I like both, but I'd say I prefer Brain Swapper. The only problem is that it looks like it could pull off some incredibly broken shit, but I can't think of anything too bad in particular... so I guess it's fine.
Also, some minor flavour advice. I'd call it Soul Swapper instead, as "soul science" that has been the theme of Warlock in Boomsday.
Just want to say something for the second card - I agree with Wailor, this card has the potential to "pull off some incredibly broken shit".
For now I'm seeing the following scenarios - you have a 1-drop in the board and on turn 2 you replace his text with Vicious Fledgling's or with Emperor Thaurissan's effects. Or you give charge to aggressively stated minions (Sabretooth Stalker, Bittertide Hydra, The Darkness!!!!!). You can also "preserve" a very strong battlecry this way. Let's say you have Saronite Chain Gang on the board and give the taunt, copy parts to a huge minion (Bittertide Hydra, The Darkness). I'm also seeing a Brann Bronzebeard, Coldlight Oracle combo (yes, I am pointing to a milllock combo). Or some Glinda Crowskin shenanigans. Rin, the First Disciple on an early minion and you start pumping those seals sooner than you should be. You will still cast the seals after turn 5, but it's another topic how you give this powerful deathrattle to a tradeable minion (in control/combo MUs). Under normal circumstances if you don't have a Dark Pact your opponent would have found a way to deal with this legendary - silence, transform or simply by not killing it and thus delaying Azari, the Devourer's effect.
[edit] Since the last examples are kinda hard to pull off (you have to make sure somehow that the aforementioned minions are in the left-most part of your hand), the real offenders will be the aggro decks pulling off broken combos with The Darkness and Bittertide Hydra.
This makes any sense? Too broken? Based on Prismatic Lens.

I have a really strange idea. Is the wording understandable?
THERE IS NO GAME.
New and old ideas:

my first idea is similar to RazorOfArtorias. sad :(and then I make the first edition of this card. maybe "shuffle the costs" doesn't fit the rule?
so I change it to the second edition. could the Malygos Mage be built with this card?
ps: why my pics show incorrectly? I use "Insert/edit image".
the first edition: https://imgur.com/a/7XjWTZS
the second edition: https://imgur.com/a/XKQ8ECk
Mmmh, could it bu useful in some deck? It's basicly hand vision + card "stealing"
Love the tribes.
Thanks for the feedback on Magic Mirror, I'll see about changing it a little bit.
Two other idea's I've had, though I can't make the cards for them right now:
Alarm-o-bot Mk II
3 mana

2 mana
Warlock spell
Choose a friendly minion, swap its card text with that of the left-most minion in your hand.
I'll make the card art for them when I have a bit more time later.

Card is alright, but it looks like a Priest card. Doesn't make much sense as Neutral.
I like both, but I'd say I prefer Brain Swapper. The only problem is that it looks like it could pull off some incredibly broken shit, but I can't think of anything too bad in particular... so I guess it's fine.

Kind of struggling with the text box limitations. I highly appreciate any kind of feedback and help for fixing/simplifying the wording.
