The three ideas i've had so far that didn't bore me to death - and the first two basically share the same core concept x)
I'm really not that excited by this "new" keyword we're getting. Hopefully they'll reveal some actual new and fresh content/mechanics with the first major card reveal... (._.
I really like this card! It's a neat way to play with the Lifesteal mechanic, and I think it's balanced considering that it only heals for 2 (and Priest's don't have many ways to increase Attack). However, does it heal AFTER or WHEN this deals damage. If it heals after, then that means if it was hit by a War Golem, it would die. If it heals when it deals damage, then it would recieve fatal damage from War Golem BUT it would heal back up to 1 Health. Another problem here (and this is a bit nit picky really) is that I fee like this is less like Lifesteal and more like a different mechanic.
Some pretty simple ideas, I based icecrown frost mage on Fallen Hero. What do you think?
The only one I don't like is Scourge Rider, simply because it doesn't have the same effect as Fallen Hero is trying to get you to do, and what you're trying to emulate with the other two cards. I think Icecrown Frost Mage is the best out of them because it's like the reverse of Fallen Hero and the effect isn't too powerful so it works out.
Rules question... the Battlecry triggers before the Choose One? (not full balanced)
So this doesn't work like Acidmaw, right? Because Acidmaw doesn't have Poisonous in its card text, and I've not really encountered an instance of a minion with Poisonous being able to deal battlecry damage that has the poisonous effect— I always thought it had to be physical attacks and trade damage. It's pretty good but perhaps 8 mana would be a more manageable cost for this as it's not even as recyclable as a card like Anub'arak. The damage dealt from that battlecry would also heal for 5 then? Hmm... I would go for something based more around the physical attack aspect of Lifesteal/Poisonous.
Blood Queen Lana'thel: An extremely powerful utility card that can completely save you in a shitty position. Can easily provide a lot of healing if the board is in your favour. If you use it correctly, you can easily negate your opponent's damage and gain even more Health. Would be really good in a Reno deck.
Darion Mograine: Another good control card. Originally I wanted the Ashbringer to shuffle Tirion Fordring into your deck - but I felt that it was a bit too overpowered. So the Corrupted Ashbringer reincarnates Darion after 5 attacks and shuffles him back into your deck. This might be a bit too slow, should it put him into your hand?
Blood Queen is definitely pretty good... In fact worthy of submission, but for the art, which is a bit unfocused and hard to discern.
Darion Mograine and the Ashbringer: I know you say it's slow, but think about this: Both of these have lifesteal, so Darion basically comes with Deathrattle: Restore 5 health to your hero. And Ashbringer gives you 15 health over all its uses. You could use this in fatigue decks to simply outlast your opponent in terms of not just value but life total. The only viable counters are Silence, aggro, and high damage/health minions. While it's too slow for this meta, perhaps, it does provide infinite card generation and that's a bit yikes when Lifesteal is attached.
Well, it's a much more powerful Arcanite Reaper. The 1 higher mana cost really doesn't matter too much because you completely mitigate most damage taken as you're using this to kill 5 health target or finish off higher health ones. The fact that it shuffles back in makes it one of those 'infinite value' things again. If you look at something like Tentacles for Arms, the value of having something infinitely cycle turns a 1.5 mana weapon into a 5 mana weapon, so this should be about 7 mana for the effect.
Here's a prospective card I had:
Yep, I know. It's a bit cheap. It's either double Mistress of Pain or an Innervate on your turn that helps ramp you up and put out high threats in the mid game. Buffing this minion with Mark of Y'Shaarj is prettttty good, even though it's not a beast. I was debating just turning it into a new keyword, Manasteal, but you don't want to assume people know what that means. Art may change, but give your thoughts please!
Alright, now that I have the card wich I am doing the "base", now I would require a bit of feedback for it:
I think its a very interesting way to gain health, either through a token deck for most value or just bringing it by its effect, unsure how powerfull or random could be, or even more, usefull.
Also feedback for @MrUncreative
Crumbling Sentinel: Seems fine for me, tough I would make it a class card, since it has almost the same stats and effects as Cornered Sentry, probably you could make it a Priest card.
Overflowing Light: Seems a bit "complex" for me, at least the card itself, since you would only apply it to enemy minions, and then trade for so, but if you do it on your own minion, its UP. Also, you could make it like Power Word: Glory, tough it seems to similar to it.
Tenris Mirkblood: I love this concept, however, you should see to submit this one very soon, since there's already a custom card in progress with a very similar effect by CelicHocino:
Huh, i think Defibrillate might be even less fitting than the Plague names x)
Maybe Blessing of Decay or Unholy/ Tainted Blessing?
But you reanimate dead. D:
Isn't decay the same as the blight / plague? >_<
I give up. I can't find appropriate artwork otherwise. I guess I will go with "Bottled Blight". Which of the two artworks do you prefer? That would help me alot.

The "characters have Lifesteal" sounds weird. I would limit it to minions. That said, on turn 2, you are most likely at full health anyway, so this is kinda hardcore broken. Other 2-3 mana "walls" at least generate minions to "reduce" the stats somewhat, but this does not. So not a real fan of Sentinel.
Overflowing light is versatile, since you can use it to heal up, but Priest kinda doesn't need it. It's also an easy buff to enable buff-otk shennanigans, which I don't really like all that much. Useful early to trade, but I'd say it's still a worse Powerword Shield.
Tenris's effect is cool, but the "additional" effect is very weak. Lifesteal is reportedly very sparse, so the effect comes from himself most of the time. In either case, a 3/6 for 6 is horrendous. This could cost 5 easily, however, the main problem is, that this shuts down anything that deals <4 damage when trading with minions, and even anything <5 is hard to get through in a single turn, so I'd probably lower the attack and/or health and make it a lower costing minion. Then I'd like this one the best.
Now I'm debating whether or not I should post on page 1 or 2.
Try page 1 like me, LIKE A MAN (or in my case, like a woman).
I was trying to get there first, but I got too hyped up about the Expansion contest and how I was about to lose for like the whole that I completely forgot about the submission post going up at the same time.
Here are my 3 cards I've compiled for this competition.
Thinking about decreasing Harness the Light to 3 mana, but it just seems like it could get so out of control that it seems correct to leave it as a 4 mana card to play in the late game.

Thanks for the feedback, I also was more keen on the "icecrown" minions as they followed around the same mechanic of using your Hero Power. That also why I made Icecrown Enchanter 3 mana, so you can drop it on turn 3 after your Hero Power, I would also like to see Weapon Rouge become a viable archetype.
As for your card, I really like the idea but the wording seems a little off for a Choose one card. Like you said, I would make it a keyword, but I dunno how it would affect people looking at it. You can do it like: "after this minion attacks gain two mana crystals this turn only" I know it would partially cut out the idea of buffing its attack to get more mana but it feels better on that type of Card. I would do your version if it wasn't a Choose one card. Forget what I said! New idea! Make it 5 mana an throw out the Choose one and make it Alley Armorsmith like, maybe even make it 7 hp of you want more resemblance. Hope I helped :)

cut out the "to" in your card
Is it supposed to give a random minion (including your enemies?), if so consider making it a 3/2 instead, if not add in friendly after "Random"

I think, given the way it works with Wickerflame and Mistress of Pain, and how Blizzard worded it on the official announcement page of the new set, the operative word is When. Plus, that's the big issue I wanted to workshop right away, whether this counted as a Lifesteal card, or if it strayed a bit too off in its own direction. The other thing I needed to workshop was the art, and maybe the name along with it, so, some alternatives.
(Note that's Cabal like Cabal Shadow Priest, and not Kabal like Kabal Talon Priest). So, which art/name combination works best, and does this card fit for the theme (given MrUncreative's legendary pitch, I'm not the only one in the mindset that it skirts the edge but still counts)?
I'd say Bottled Plague or Putrid Plague cause of the art, BUT... Lifesteal just doesn't seem very plague-like to me, more like the opposite. I think it's a great effect, but the art and name just doesn't fit the effect and class.
A lot of death knights are former paladins. Maybe you could do something to capture that transition? Something like "Ebon Blade Enlistment" - I know it's a bit long and clunky, but it's merely to give you an idea of what I'm thinking.
I dunno, turning undead kinda feels like Lifesteal, I mean they are risen fom the death and regenerate after all. :D There is something sinister in "stealing" life. With the exception of Burnbristle, only evil character / dark spells have that trait. Drain Life, Vampirers, Ghouls etc I guess that is why Chillblade Champion also has it.
@Identity Thief
What exactly is "swapped" here? Only the vanilla text or including buffs? I like that it is flexible and can be used on your own minions. That alone should warrant it to be 3/5 at best, but I see that you have planned to change it already. At the moment, it's kinda hard to find an enemy target worth the effect at the moment and Lifesteal is roughly worth 1 mana (or more depending on the attack of the target), but that will probably change with the rise of more deathrattles. Overall, I really like the card.
edit: Is this better?
Thanks for the feedback :) !
As for your card, I understand what you mean. But as an example, Chillblade Champion is a death knight. And those risen from the dead could also be death knights (as well as mindless scourge creatures among others). As said, I understand why you'd say Lifesteal is an evil trait, but I just find "plague" to be more fitting with warlocks and not paladins. Paladins are more related to death knights than any other class, so that's why I find it more fitting. "Unholy Schooling/Teachings/Training" could also be a possibility. That clearly indicates we have to do with something holy that's changing course.
