I can see that card being played. If you make it to turn 9 against aggro, they are likely out of steam anyway. And against control, you could mind control whatever big minion they play on their turn afterwards. Question is whether you can afford playing that many expensive cards which are dead for at least 8 turns...
I don't see how people think this is unplayable. I clears everything, including sticky deathrattles. Plus if you can discount Grave Horror to 0 you can play them immediately afterwards on an empty board.
If Priest gets any other board clears, healing minions or early game removal, this will make sure that other control decks cannot keep a board. Question is, can Priest get to turn 9 against Hunter and Paladin Mech decks?
9 mana. It was hard to survive till 7 mana. What now? 9! no comment
Priest does not have problems surviving to turn 9. Look at Nomi priest. What it lacks is a way to win outside of stalling + Nomi or Divine spirit + inner fire.
The card is very powerful but also very meta dependant.
While Psychic Scream in a vacuum was good decent against aggro, pretty bad against control and powerful against things in between, sometimes being a dead card due to the shuffling effect, but also preventing you to die due to the 7 mana cost that lines up nicely with tempo opponents, Plague of Death on the other hand, has the same effect but doesn't have to take into account any shuffling, for 2 more mana. It will be very powerful against slow control decks and dead against very aggressive decks. So while similar in theory, they serve different purpose in practice and Plague of Death will eventually see play, a day or a year after the expansion comes out, when the meta calls for it.
This is all in a vacuum of course. The amount of healing priest gets could be important for the playability of plague of death, and potentially overcome its weakness against aggro. Any combo related card matters too, plague of death is a lot less combo friendly than psychic scream.
I also thought about wild, Psychic Scream and Plague of Death have really powerful synergy, maybe it's time to bring back Odd priest to the tier 3 territory.
Have you people never played against a control deck that has a board clear after a board clear? Everyone is wondering what will priest do after this. What will they do? They will clear your board a few more times untill you run out of steam. Then they will drop something huge. Like the free priest 7/8 taunt? Or set up for a 1 turn combo kill with inner fire?
THANK YOU.
I was starting to feel like I was the only one here who has actually played Hearthstone.

If Priest have some good heal then Control Priest can just play fatigue style like CW. The class have an unique advantage in control matchup with the ability to steal a third of your opponent deck easy thus out value them hard. For example in Control Warrior matchup if you steal Dr.Boom mad genius it pretty much a win
Twisting Nether is played, even in wild. Knowing this I can't see this card being unplayed and not good "Even in wild". I truly believe this card is OP.

I'm pretty meh. 9 mana is a lot, and comes pretty late. Feels like a tech card to have if opposing decks are getting a lot of big swing turns. (like Nomi or Kangors)
But, in general I would prefer something that can clear an early board of murlocs or such.
Complaining about 9 mana, and that priests are dead long before ninth turn, is totally irrelevant.. Obviously this is not an anti-aggro card..And its effects are strong enough to be cheaper..Its a control card for any late swarm, maybe even for the new keywords cards..Propably its not a card to clean hunter or murloc shaman, propably they want priest to struggle at early to keep them balanced,we all know, how they can get out of hand(more than any other class),if they have the slightest answer to anything..
That's class identity guys

When you think how easy it is to swarm decks repopulate the board for much less mana and echo stuff, at 9 mana this card is nothing but a joke.
Objection!!!

one card can be included in the deck good removal.

It seems Rank 20+ has a very interesting metagame
Objection!!!
Will the Reborn mechanic be silencable.

Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.

Yes a minion with a unused reborn effect will lose the effect if silenced
Reborn is essentially "deathrattle: resummon this minion with 1hp"
