Mage can combo this with frost nova to ruin the possibility of board development during a key turn.

Developed Hearthstone player, have played and beaten highly skilled opponents on numerous occasions. Not that ambitious on ladder. Only play off of win streaks. Love theory more than meta.
Thanks for the reality check. Only aggro, especially kingsbane rogue counters big priest. Blizzard is just going to have to go ahead and nerf Barnes and they probably will as he's at the top of their watchlist.
This card definitely has it's place. Didn't really expect to see neutral imps but i can't complain. There will be a ton of demons running around this year.
This card has many potential in different deck building in standard, wild: +Impferno: Buff your board and clear your opponent's +Evolve: The end is coming! +Frost Nova: your opponent couldn't play any minion based stuff for 1 turn. + Druid: all kind of +1/+1 buff Anti- DK warlock
Not so sure if you could get a decent AOE in arena on time, so it really depends.

Not really big priest got other counters as well it doesn't win 100% vs control decks.
Psychic Scream, yes ill give you that one. But this being 6 mana, there are multiple ways to kill off his board in the same turn as you play this if you chose to wait with it until you actually can clear their board. A defile turn 8 would do it. Surely you can last to turn 8 against big priest ?
Or lets assume you play zoo. You have a sizeable board, already. You dont care if you get any imps, all you care about is giving your opponent imps. You use your existing board, to kill off the imps you summon on his side turn 6. He screams. You keep playing your game, and he has a diluted rez pool.
The problem with the cards you mention, is that they are bad. This card, as of yet, is unproven. It could be bad. It might suck. But id try running a copy of it in wild, at least.
This card seems to serve multiple purposes and because it's neutral will see experimentation. In competitive play, this may actually get a card slot or two against Rez Priests in the new tournament format being pushed. (can't recall the name right now)
This is a card that will probably not see too much play in the first few weeks, but once the meta is settled, this might serve as a counter or surprise card. Unless Token Druid comes out of the games screaming for attention.
It surprises me how no one mentions the obvious sinergy with Despicable Dreadlord on curve. There already was a fill your board with imps then buff them pre-kraken rotation so It might make a comeback.

Rotates to Wild.
If you really want to go that route in Standard though there's always turn 8 Mad Summoner + Arcane Explosion. You probably want to do something more powerful with 8 mana in Mage though.

Of course, but people have already mentioned how this card can find its uses to wreck res priest and gul'dan, so it can go there.

You can use this card to get a free sea giant turn 6 if you have the ability to trade one of your minion

In wild : Unlicensed Apothecary + treachery + this (with a tick from thaurissan) for an OTK
If i played wild primarily, this would make me excited since it nerfs big priest a lot.
Would love to see this work with Spirit of the Bat and Hir'eek, the Bat. There's no way to board clear for one damage on 3 mana though, am I right?
This is a bad big priest counter. First and most importantly, this one leads right into their psychic scream turn, filling your deck with 1/1 imps.
And there are other cards that comes out a lot earlier that spawns minions on the opponents side. See Gravelsnout Knight, Hungry Dragon or Saronite Taskmasterfor example.
you guys are just mentioning rez priest counter, but what about DK guldan in wild too! U ruin their rez pool so bad
I'm going to play this in Wild with Inkmaster Solis 😁
Daring Escape + Spectral Cutlass face?

I love this card, very good and effective counter against Bloodreaver Gul'dan. First instant craft for sure. Hope it works well.
I like elementals and totems.

It's way better against Gul'dan than res priest because there spellstone will be give you one imp at worst. Gul'dan can give an entire board of 1/1s.
