Lmao the card sucks. After they play Zul’jin, clear their board and they are done. Almost every class can clear board of 3/3s. Gets outvalued by Dragon-Mech Warrior so hard.
Yes, because Zuljin is used in aggro decks. Aggro decks famously do bad against heavy control decks, doesn't mean it's bad.
Dude, Spell Hunter is not an aggro deck..
Have you even played hearthstone? There is something obviously aggressive in summoning 4 three attack minions and creating minionless decks just in hopes of getting that huffer + leokk dream.
This gotta be one of the dumbest posts I've read here... The Spellstone costs 5 mana and needs setup to spawn those 4 3/3s... It's not like you can topdeck it and play it as if it was upgraded... TMS costs 6 mana and even if it does spawn the minions you mentioned it's 5 damage! Just 5! and it doesn't go through taunts... Also, what does Spell Hunter do till turn 3/4? Basically nothing, if it reallly were an Aggro Deck you'd be at half your health if not less at that point... Have you ever played against something called Pirate Warrior? or Aggro Shaman? or Tempo Mage? Those are Aggro decks not something that can't even put bodies on the board till turn 3/4...
I have to ask, but are you actually brain dead? You're claiming a deck that runs 8 one cost cards isn't aggro? Holy shit my dude. Spell hunter plays spells until the turns you mentioned, I know, spells in a deck called spell hunter really shocks me too.
I asked this earlier to someone else, but have you ever played hearthstone? Even versus odd paladin, the best aggro deck in the entire game, you won't be anywhere near half health by the turns you mentioned, it only starts to become really good at turn 5 with Level Up!.
Edit: noticed the anime gif you have, so ignore my first question as I get the answer now. :)
SPELL HUNTER ISN'T AGGRO.
It's something between Midrange and Tempo but for sure it isn't aggro. Have you ever seen an aggro deck w/o turn 1 drop? Or an aggro deck with a 10 mana card? I could go further but I won't
Your point is very weak, you forgot to consider that baku is kinda 9 mana, but I'm sure these aggro decks don't run high cost cards my oh my what a mistake I made. Plus odd paladin runs Stormwind Champion but once again, I'm sure you're completely correct. Oh or even shaman, running Sea GiantThe Lich King and cards like that, but guess I'm still wrong. :(
You do realize that Odd Paladin runs a Vanilla 9 drop that you see played 1 in 20 games just because it gives them a busted Hero Power right? Also, they run Stormwind Champion just because they can't have Tarim or Stegodon... And Even Shaman runs Sea Giant sure, but that doesn't ever cost more than 4/5 mana so you can't exactly consider it a late game card... I could keep going but you clearly have no clue what you're talking about and what's worse is that you're too cocky to realize your dead wrong... Please keep going like this,I'm sure using insults as argumentations is gonna get you far in everything you do...
P.s. Even if you don't deserve it Kao-chan is gonna keep playing her violin for you... Who knows maybe she can somehow reach you...
I'm sure something that doesn't exist can teach me violin.
I should stop with this nonsense but I'm horribly annoyed by the fact that the Brawl gave me 5 gold so I'll stop playing and toy with you a little more... For some reason you seem to have a weird concept of Aggro Deck... Even Shaman (at least in Standard) is a Midrange/Tempo not Aggro,if they go face in some MUs it's because they know they don't have the late game to compete with the other Deck and try to finish the game ASAP... There's no way in hell Aggro would ever run Agatha or Kalimos maybe LK but that would be a stretch too... Al'akir would ok as a finisher but that's it... You said Spell Hunter is Aggro cause it runs like 6 one drops well then let's talk these one drops...
They have Candleshot 1 mana for 3 damage wow so aggressive! Also, you're hero is immune while attacking that's so Aggro!
Then we have Tracking, card draw and Deck thinning I guess that's okay but it still doesn't damage my face or fish for some crazy finisher...
Then what Secret Plan? 1 mana to draw a 2 cost spell that my opponent won't even proc...
Hunter's Mark? Let's remove a fatty so I can finish the game on turn 6!
Arcane Shot? 1 mana for 2 damage! Me SMORC! Seriously how many times did you see a Hunter play this on your face?!
Minions that snowball when not removed like Tunnel Trogg or Mana Wyrm are what Aggro runs or stuff like Fireball or Lava Burst not 1 mana pings that make you immune while attacking or cards that generate ridiculous amount of value...
As for Odd Paladin,do you really think they would run Stormwind Champion if Stonehill guaranteed them a Tarim?! Also, you say I purposefully avoided to talk about the cards you had mentioned but what about what I said about Baku or Sea Giant? Why does Odd Paladin run a 9 drop other than the reason I stated above?
First off I have to mention your over use of "..." it doesn't make you interesting one bit. Even shaman runs both Dire Wolf Alpha and Sea Giant. Sea giant is good when you can flood your board, which coincidentally is what aggro decks do. Primalfin Totem floods the board, a mechanic useful for aggro decks and coincidentally is run in this deck, hmm.
- Tracking is generally run to draw Lesser Emerald Spellstone which is one of the highest win-rate cards in the entire deck. So yes, it does fish for a finisher.
- Hunter's Mark let's you combo it with Candleshot to go face, because turns out aggro decks go face.
- Secret Plan used to get more secrets, which upgrades the best card in the deck.
Pre-nerf Mana Wyrm could certainly also be described as a card that produces insane value.
"33 neutral Taunts + 3 Paladin Taunts (400% more likely to show up).
The probablility of get Tarim from 1 Stonehill Defender is slight more than 1- (41/45) * (40/44) * (39/43) = ~24.8%.
So the probability of getting at least 1 Tarim from 2 Stonehills is: 1- (0.752^2) = ~43.5%"
Old numbers from an old post, but I've seen people get two tarims in a row. It almost does seem guaranteed. Who knows why paladin would, but if even shaman is fine running that many big minions, maybe other aggro decks should too.

Writing ... at the end of the sentence is just a bad habit of mine, after all this time I basically do it without even thinking,I'm not trying to make anything more interesting for anyone... Anyway,I got rid of that annoying 5 gold and even opened a golden legendary (Yeah free dust because I don't play Discardlock) so I won't bother replying anymore... You wanna think Spell Hunter is Aggro fine, just don't come crying here after its Hero Cards run you over because you wasted your resources to clear their completely broken finisher on turn 5...
Aw damn, wanted to keep having a discussion. Guess no more great wall of china :(
Even Shaman is a midrange deck. Odd paladin has to run Baku to be aggressive because of hero power. Stormwind champion is being used as a finisher.
Ask any pro player if Spell hunter is an aggro deck. They will also tell you that you are wrong. Clearly you don't know what aggro deck is. It can be played more control style thanks to Rexxar, but not aggro.
Midrange decks running an aggro card like Dire Wolf Alpha? Guess that means the zoo decks that also run it are now midrange, confirmed. Stormwind Champion has a played winrate of 54.1%, i.e not a finisher. I think you're confusing it with Leeroy Jenkins.
An aggro deck being able to play more control originated just shows off how powerful Deathstalker Rexxar truly is.
Spell hunter being called an aggro deck now? That is interesting to say the least. I guess in the mind of people everything is an aggro deck except the slowest of decks.
Everyone in this thread is telling you that you are wrong. Odd Paladin is midrangey aggressive deck. Yes Stormwind Champion is generally used to push little bit more damage and close out the game. It is a finisher because you are supposed to win by the time he is played. Leeroy is burst kind of finisher. They are just different in that way. Aggro deck wouldn't play Deathstalker Rexxar because it wouldn't serve the purpose of the deck. It is a dead draw for an aggro deck. It takes away your face damage hero power. Dude seriously you have no clue what aggro deck is. How long have you been playing this game? Because we had some really fast aggro decks in the past such as overload shaman, pirate warrior, face hunter etc.
People who think secret hunter is an aggro deck are likely playing fatigue warrior and also think that the average Hearthstone game lasts 20 turns. The matchup against Big Spell mage is a face race....

I don't want to quote the 400 previous messages, but Spell Hunter isn't aggro at all.
First of all, I noticed someone called Even Shaman "aggro deck" and argued that since this deck can run stuff like Kalimos and Al'Akir, then Spell Hunter is an aggro deck too despite running cards like Zul'jin and Crushing Walls. You are wrong simply because Even Shaman isn't Aggro but Midrange. That also explains why it runs Hagatha the Witch despite being a card that doesn't deal direct damage and costs 8 (and kills your board as well as your opponent's one) .
Now, talking about Spell Hunter, it isn't aggro because
1) It doesn't kill you by turn 6/7
"BuT iF tHeY pLaY sPeLlStOnE oN 5 aNd I dOn't HaVe An AnSwEr ThEy'Ll WiN oN tUrN 6..."
Then Even Lock and Miracle Rogue are aggro too because 8/8 Van Cleef and Mountain Giant on 3 can kill you in a couple of turns.
SPOILER ALERT: Even Lock and Miracle Rogue aren't aggro decks
This is called "Tempo Swing", the same that brought Big Priest at tier 1 in Wild.
2) It runs cards like Crushing Walls and DK Rexxar. Abut the former, I haven't seen an aggro deck since beta that runs a 7 mana hard removal. Prove me I'm wrong if you can.
About the latter, 6 mana deal 2 to all enemy minions is a worse consecration (no aggro deck would play it) amd the Hero Power you get provides only value. Why an aggro deck would replace a Damage Hero Power with a value one?? Maybe because it isn't aggro...
3) Zul'jin, Rhok'Delar and To My Side are the cards around the deck is built. These cards are the reason why Spell Hunter doesn't play minions. Now, look at the cards. The cheaper is To My Side and costs 6, Rhok'Delar costs 7 and Zul'Jin 10. Have you ever seen an aggro deck built around 10 mana cards??? But most of all, have you ever seen an aggro deck DON'T RUNNING MINIONS BECAUSE OF 6+ MANA CARDS???
SPELL HUNTER IS NOT AN AGGRO DECK, YOU ARE JUST RIDICULOUS AFFIRMING THE OPPOSITE

I am pretty sure control warlock is aggro aswell, it sometimes runs mountain giants, which can be played on turn 4 and hit you for 8 the next turn!
Wait what? XD

Could be strong with the right build-around. Imagine a beast/secret hunter dropping this on 10, playing 4-5 secrets, a Spellstone, 2 Animal Companions, and maybe a Deadly Shot or two...
I challenge you
Go build the deck and shoot a video of you doing that.
Turn 10 you must play your hero. Before that you need to cast the spells you said you wanted:
Cloaked Huntress makes that possible for Secrets along Subject 9 to Draw them and mulligan for 1 Spellstone 2 animal companions. You could technically cast all of those before turn 10 given right hand.

- Nobody runs Arcane Shot in spell hunter. Btw
- Yes, 1 mana deal three is good.

An opinion being popular doesn't mean it's correct, not everyone should act like mindless sheep. Lost in the Jungle has a higher played winrate than Stormwind Champion are you going to count that card as a finisher too? https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1121982-secret-agrro-hunter
You just called Odd paladin a midrangey deck, and you think I have no idea about aggro decks? Yikes
