This kinda fits the Inner Fire Priest theme. Even tho Primalfin Champion wasn't played in pala, who knows how it will be played in Priest? I'm not sure how to rate this yet.
The thing about this card and the Priest is that the Priest cards can give you card draw, durability, attack buffs, and ways to copy it. As long as this card doesn't give silenced and dies normally, you get all of those buff cards for the next person. I can't say this minion being bad at all. It is just a bit slow.
makes you feel less shitty when you waste buff cards on it, but you cry when you get silenced.
The demo of this made it look really good, but I think that was a feast type situation.
Ideally if you can slap on a shield and a IF to control the early game and get those back when your 4/4 dies so you can use it on a twilight drake or something, I think its worth it potentially.
This could maybe go in a "buff priest" deck. I don't think it would be competitively viable but it could be really fun. Power word shield gives extra draw so you can grab an elixer or arms on it, then you get those cards back for mid game. It's a neat concept that works differently for priest than pally.
If you vivid nightmares it, you would get two power word shields and two vivid nightmares back (and any other buffs you've used)? You could do some crafty stuff with this. vivid nightmares would also be a smart play to avoid losing all your value to a silence.
The more i think about it the more I love this card for Priest, even if it will probably not be meta.
not really sure what to say about this card, would I play it in a inner fire priest deck, yes maybe, but you definitely wouldn't wanna play this on turn 1 do nothing and because of that i'd just rather play northshire cleric.

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
I honestly think this is the worst xpac priests have seen in a very long time. All the priest cards are extremely mediocre. The only interesting cards that even remotely looks like it can shape things up are Reckless Experimenter and this card (Test Subject). Both the priest legendary cards are extremely boring, the new priest buff is exceptionally bad as it needs to be discounted by 1 to even be on par with Blessing of Kings. IMO we got one of the worst Omega cards printed, PW: Replicate is outshone by Faceless and Vivid Nightmare and our common cards are either bland (Dead Ringer) or outright bad (Cloning Device).
Okay, ranting aside, this card may bring Inner Fire/Divine Spirit decks to the forefront of priest archetypes. As I'm sure others will be quick to point out, this card will be weak to silence but what isn't these days? Assuming you Use Shadow Visions to bring out more divine spirits and inner fires and then absorbing them back into the hand, seems pretty good. If your 1 drop takes a silence, then it really boils down to how many resources that silence destroyed and how much value you gained beforehand, because most players don't want to silence 1 drops.
I'm going to vote this card Very Good even though it's just more of the same old we've seen from another class. We'll just have to wait and see though. Still, I wish we got a few more innovative cards like most of the other classes did. Priest cards this xpac are just....bleh
I don’t think you want this in Inner Fire priest. It’s too small to start with and what you need in Inner Fire is a minion to stick, not value.
I think it does both with innerfire. It may be small but using innerfire and/or divine spirit lets it contest the board without technically losing out on your innerfire and divine spirit...hopefully anyway.

Primalfin Champion for priest? Nice, but... so boring.
Interesting card but I'm pretty sure Northshire Cleric will still be the better choice
I hate Inner Fire Priest and this card will help make more of them.
Currently working on the Tinker! K&C and WW / JUG and KotFT / Classic / Basic / Introduction

Primalfin Champion hasn't even rotated to Wild yet but they are already reprinting it. Such design.

Moving into https://outof.cards/members/firepaladinhs/decks
You can play this 1 Mana 0/2 (do nothing) + 3 Mana (overcost) give a friendly minion +2/2 and you will get a 2/4 (do nothing) for only 4 Mana.
OP .....not.
I'm just going to call this very good, maybe even meta-defining.
ok bye
Primalfin Champion for innerfire priest.
Cheaper, it has the ability to cycle with the pyromancer and acolyte.
Once again, it's not really certain how much play this deck will see, but this is a strong card nevertheless.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed this is just Primalfin Champion
No, priest have better options for this kind of deck.

Art looks shitty. Cheaper Primalfin Champion
OTk Priest

That seems to be a regular occurrence with priest cards. Radiant Elemental is another good example of this.
