Assassinate that can't bypass taunt, with a body that almost will never survive. Meh, hunter did not need this and has better removal tools in general. Still waiting for hunter card draw..
Honestly, this has to be high cost, otherwise it would be huge for DK Rexxar. The poisonous means the attack doesn't matter, and already, with Stegodon, it would make a 9 mana 3/9 Poisonous Rush Taunt. Just realised it would be in pool 2, so no Stegodon. It could be used with Exploding Bloatbat as a 9 mana board clear, or Cave Hydra as a 3 minion removal, or Witchwood Grizzly in the same vein as Stegodon. In wild it would work well with Dispatch Kodo and Fiery Bat, serving as a remove 2 minions for 9 with Kodo, or 1 + potentially 1 random with with Bat. Gives more options for a Dreadscale poisonous combo as well.
On it's own merits... It's not a good card. Could see play if comboing with Bestial Wrath becomes a thing, but I really really doubt it.
Should really have been a 4-mana card. Deadlyshot or Hunter's Mark beats this any day. HOwever, it does have interesting implications with DK rexxar.
Think Cave HYdra + this for an 8-mana: kill 3 minions. That's a pretty powerful out in a dire situation. So, if Hunter gets Rexxar early enough they might become a really strong control class (occasionally) after all.
This is better than people give it credit for. It's an assassinate that's blocked by taunts, in a class that has weak hard removal. That can be tutored for/have extra copies produced by stitched tracker. I don't think it's *quite* good enough, but it's notably better than bloatbat level.
Everything is better then bloatbat. It is one of the worst cards ever. The design behind is so awful Blizzard should be ashamed of themselves. It's so bad, it doesn't even work in DK Rex.
This card will be good and even sometimes great in DK Rex. And I believe it is the only reason it was added, besides Blizzard maintaining their consistency with Hunter of course.

I think it works quite well in DK. In fact, I'd argue thats why Hunter has a fair few bad beasts since the DK released (Exploding Bloatbat, Cave Hydra and now this). Simply put, while they're really bad cards on their own, I've lost count of the number of times a Bloatbat/Gastropod mix has saved me while playing DK Rexxar. Bloatbat has plenty of good combos with DK Rexxar as will Cave Hydra and this when they're (finally) added. With the addition of Vicious Scalehide as well, I think DK Rexxar will form the backbone of any Control Hunter.

I hardly get the Bloatbat+Gas combo, maybe that's why I hate the Bat so much.
I always liked Hydra. If it stays alive for a turn, it causes massive board swings especially if you can buff it with Houndmaster (just like Kudo from DK Rex. Sad to see the guy go, saved me so many times).
DK Rex is already saving Hunter from total humiliation. It can carry Spell Hunter when you don't draw Barnes and also allows other Hunter decks to work. I said long time ago that he is the best DK card created. Better then Anduin and Guldan. Anduin and Guldan need initial plays to support them. DK Rex kicks ass all by himself.
You are absolutely right he will allow many CH decks to work, but that's not all, it will allow Hunter decks to work.
According to my games, it has given me an average of 3 extra turns and turned countless games in my favor that I should have lost.
DK Rex is arguably one of the best cards ever designed. And it's not just crazy good, it's crazy fun and surprisingly balanced since the beasts are not free to get.
It might reach OP level in Witchwood. Will have insane board clears at his disposal. Can't wait!

You know how they get around the DK issue? I know! They could do something crazy and remove the beast tag. This is just a bad card and adding cards just to let it work with DK is not good given that we will not always be able to use DK or want to use it.
I don't think this is completely awful, while it may not end up seeing play, it's still basically 5 mana removal for something, yes it can't get past taunts, but we'll see, I doubt you'd wanna play this in your deck though. lol

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
Not sure what to do with this its basically assasinate, the fact that it doesnt bypass taunt is pretty irelevant, since than opponent would have multiple high value targets on board which means you have lost already.
Can see this as a 1 off in midrange when there are good targets for this.
I think you forget not every class should have the best removal, the best bodies, the best spells, the best hero power. Giving hunter removal is good. Giving him 5 mana destroy a minion is both unoriginal (boring) but also showing how this expansion looks like Blizzard is toning down some effects on cards. Rush being the prime example, and card concept being a big one too. This is removal, but counterable.
5 mana to kill a minion has long been recognized as a fair trade, and this card grants hard removal to a class that does not have much of it. It is a potentially useful tool for the new Control Hunter decks, and something I would greatly appreciate as an option for Build-A-Beast.

I actually laughed when i saw this one , wtf ..

This at 4 mana or with more stats would have been better. This kinda reminds me of that 4 mana deal 2 damage to all minions bat.
Hunter gets really overcosted defensive tools imho.

worst assasinate version ?
Only positive to this is bestial wrath synergy
Ahahahahaha!
I love Blizzard for their consistency.
There can never be an expansion without completely shitty Hunter card!

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

Decent removal.
better than it looks, but it wont see play in constructed

-Acceptable arena removal
-Good DK possibilities
-Utter garbage in constructed
