This treasure is crap anyways, don't pick it, unless the Plaque Lord is like at 20-30 starting health and you just wanna oneshot him
    :)

It's worth noting that this is affected by Spell Damage. Say for example you have Malygos in play, and the +2 spell damage Hero Power, then play this, it won't only deal 17 damage to that boss, but also to the Plague Lord. You can potentially skip the first phase of the boss by stalling in earlier fights, stacking spell damage on the board and playing this for high damage. Best I've managed so far is 82 at the start of the fight. It's still not an amazing treasure, but it's better than some. I would assume, but no confirmed that it works with Vargoth as well.

I'll use both for the time being, but most of the things I enjoyed on this site, like the creation competitions were mod led. If the new guys here do similar things, I'll probably continue to use both. Otherwise, I'll stick to OOC.

posted a message on Wisdomball is the worst treasure

It can win games, or lose games on a coin flip. I've had it carry me through an entire heroic run, or make me lose the second match of a run. Nearly always fun though.

My worst experience to date was on the final boss of a heroic run where I'd managed to build a ridiculous Pogo Hopper deck, guaranteeing Pogo and Lab Recruiter in opening hand and Goggles to play them both on turn 1. I played the pogo, and then got "Random Legendaries are alway good" and my Pogo got turned in Ysera. Which seemed fine, except it killed my entire strategy and led to a loss.

posted a message on Dalaran heist help

I've just beat Heroic, I'll outline both my builds (Standard and Heroic)

Standard I used Warlock with the basic Hero Power and the Seeker Deck. Picked up the double health and Togwaggles Dice passives, and filled my deck with big demons, a copy of Gul'dan DK and healing. Had Big Boomba has a board clear, along with a couple of Hellfires. He couldn't deal enough damage to outpace the healing in my deck, and eventually got worn down.

For Heroic, I completed it as warrior using the Undermine hero power and Boomin deck with Hagatha's Embrace and Double Health as passives. I got Dr.Boom Mad Genius half way through the run, and started grabbing Mechs from there. Had 3 x Omega Assembly for psuedo draw, Boomba, Brawl and Deathwing for board clears, Clockwork Goblin and Hakkar to suplement the bombs from the hero power, and Zilliax and a 6 mana, 10/10 Scraphound (Tall tales x 2) for Sustain. Again, dragged it out, took everything he could dish out, and let him die by the tainted blood and bombs.

Neither of these were the easy options, but I'm so bored of how broken the robes are that I at least enjoyed these runs, especially Khadgar taking 45 damage from his own (triple casted) Arcane Intellect..

So, my first idea was some kind of shuttle or rocket, and I came up with this.

posted a message on Anyone beaten Heroic Jepetto?

I managed it with Shaman, rush on all minions + minions cost one less. I can't stress how broken every minion having rush is combined with unstable evolution. Between that, the echo murloc and the candles, he couldn't get anything to stick, and he eventually ran out of cards.

posted a message on "Technically" full dust refund should be applied with buffs too

While there is arguments that these buffs can have negative effects, I certainly don't expect full refunds on them. It would be exceptionally generous of Blizz to let those who don't have the cards craft them at half the dust cost for a short while, while would go some way to compensating those who disenchanted them, while avoiding giving them for free to players who never had them in the first place, but I don't imagine that happeneing either.

Overall, I'm just happy to see it happening, and would be happy to see it rolled out though the rest of the expansions in the future.

posted a message on POLL: Hearthstone Classic / Vanilla

The existence of this thread worries me. How many times have people complained about a stale meta 2 months after an expansion has been released? Or because the previous year was too powerful, and not a massive amount changes over the course of a year?

Now imagine nothing ever changed, and it had been the exact same game for the last 4 years, and imagine how many threads moaning that Blizz is lazy and the game needs new content.

I think the WoW vanilla servers will prove to be a mistake in the long term, amd I think any vanilla Hearthstone would be a much bigger mistake.

Only one that's stood out so far was against Bonepaw, when casting the 9 mana summon 5 copies of a legendary spell, he says something along the lines of "Be careful what you cast"

posted a message on Tired of HearthStone.

Just a point on the Discover mechanic. I've only really felt it was broken when it was on an already good minion (Drakonid Operative) or pulled from a limited pool containing very good cards (Stonehill Defender in Paladin). Look at all the Discover cards that "failed". Anyone moaning about the power level of Blazing Invocation?

If Omega Assembly and Crystalsong Portal didn't have the added ability to add all three to your hand, they would have been forgotten already. I expect to see a soft nerf to Omega Assembly by adding some more bad, or niche mechs in the next expansion or two, and I feel Crystalsong, as long as Druid doesn't get some ridiculous class minions in the coming 2 years, is in a good place already.

posted a message on New hagatha, yay or nay?

Shaman spell pool in standard is pretty good, so getting value isn't hard. Hagatha herself is a great target for Big Bad Voodoo and Mutation. I would say the hero card is bettet for control, but its a good card all the same.
