I have to disagree about chamelios, it is very bad to topdeck, because you have to wait a turn without doing anything. And if your opponent is topdecking than it is also useless, this card is basicly a combination of shifter zerus, and mind vision. Both of which are bad cards.
If you're topdecking with priest you've already lost.
The main difference between chamelios and the cards you quote (zerus, mind vision) are that you don't have to spend any mana to know what your opponent is holding, this cards works as a ''quick free look'' at your opponent hand and also gives you a chance to surprise and even use his own tricks against him, used on a hard control or even a regular control priest allows you to know what to expect of your opponent and also have a luck factor of winning the game, now remember that chamelios can mimic any card, that means deathknights, as far as I can tell it looks really OP imo.
Lord Godfrey and Tess Greymane seem like the only safe crafts. Baku the Mooneater Might end up in some playable deck, but I wouldn't craft it until the meta has been established.
I think The Glass Knight and [card]Hagatha the Witch[card] will also be viable picks.
Beside Lord Godfrey that is just a solid board clear on a stick, i don't think any of the cards you mentioned are safe craft, and even Godfrey is not a core card, warlock will survive without another board clear.
The Glass Knight is so underrated rn... It may have a "boring effect" but it's well-stated and has the potential to have huge board control value in a midrange or tempo style paladin
IF YOU dont have the dust for it , why would you craft dollmaster dolorian ? its just bad ... i think the only save craft so far is godfrey 7 mana 4/4 2 dmg defile guy..
Golden hagatha and the 2nd shaman leg golden too for me (xept when it turns out to be moorabi level disappointmen). Baku is a card I definetly do want to play with as I fooled around with Justicar alot.
So everybody knows that crafting something on release day of new expansion is bad idea because card you thought would be awesome is at the end of a day total trahs ( i crafted dragon soul at day 1). But there are some cards wich crafting is in my opinion 100% safe even in release day because of their power and effects.
From neutral legendaries at first place it is Countess Ashmoreand def. Dollmaster Dorian ....both with powerful effects wich can be used in almost all classes....I'm not shure about Baku the Mooneater , Genn Greymane because i play only paladin, priest and warlock and odd an even decks may be not succesful in all of these classes
If you play warlock, Lord Godfrey is instant craft and Glinda Crowskin is almost certainly good craft for some zoolocks or even contrololo decks.
If I were a rogue player i would def. craft Tess Greymane.
Lady in White seems to be safe craft and Chameleos is that type of card wich you are really happy to have because of cool art and even cooler effect. It may seem like a meme card but it gives you informations about you opponents hand and i think, that it is very powerful, especially in early days when everybody will play everything.
I would'nt craft anything else on day 1 but as a paladin main player i really hope we will get something cool to shine in the light.
Dont make the mistake I did with Ungoro. DO NOT CRAFT until a week or two after release.
You will get owned every time if you do not listen.
Since when does priest rely on topdecking? Priests generally have a full hand of cards to choose from so drawing Chamelios is hardly a setback. And if your opponent is down to only topdecking when you are playing a control deck then the match is basically already won and there are lots of control cards that are essentially dead at that point anyway.
I do think that there will be decklists out there that people will netdeck from a pro that will feature Chamelios and the person netdecking will possibly not be able to take advantage of Chamelios since it's the type of card that requires a lot of skill to use. That person might benefit from not crafting Chamelios and instead replace it with something else but in the right hands it will be a gamewinning card.

I play a lot of off-meta decks, and I like spending my dust on golden legendaries... so on Day 1 -I'll craft Baku the Mooneater, Blackhowl Gunspire, Toki the Time Tinker. Then I'll craft Archmage Arugal, Chameleos, or Face Collector depending on which other cards I opened.

Crafting?!?!? I'm planning on pulling them all from packs. Kappa

I’m crafting Baku The Mooneater odd mage is the first deck I’m playing . Also might craft Darius Crowley as always looking for more warrior cards
Golden Blackhowl Gunspire for me.

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
All i really wanna craft is genn bc most of my theorycrafted decks have him in, and they all seem really solid

You’re doing what you said not to do. Of course those look good now. People craft cards like you listed that LOOK good on day one.
the problem isn’t people crafting risky cards on day one, it’s crafting ones that seem to have a very high chance of seeing teir 1 play and don’t
Oaken Shield looked good on day 1 and is mediocre
I’m sure there are many many more examples
Nightblade Argent Lance Flame Imp
Argent Watchman Argent Squire Frost Giant
Aviana Hogger Snipe Sea Giant

Surprise!
If some murlucs that I like releases, I wll do what I have always done, craft them in golden for my all golden Murloc Shaman! ^^ #MrglmrglFTW

The only one I use to this day is sunkeeper.
or just pack everything so you don't have to craft anything
