This card is bad but I think you guys are missing the point here. If you play a board clear (which warlock has plenty) after this, it can help you regain the board. It's really slow but has some potential especially with Cataclysm since you can play both together
So.. ever since Rin, the First Disciple was announced it was assumed by many, me included, that there would be support cards to help make it actually work.
Looks like we're still waiting.. and we're running out of cards.

It's not quite as bad as that one since it comes out on 5 instead of 7, has a smaller body so its easier to trigger the deathrattle, and because "demon" is a broader category than 8-drops so its harder to completely whiff. The tradeoff being you can wiff on smaller demons if you haven't build your deck right. That being said "not quite as bad" as the 7 mana 3/3 is still pretty darn bad.
I'm hoping it's one of those cards that finds it's place in a synergy and ends up being good.. still, it's no darkshire councilman. meh, where are the good warlock cards?
Because that's the only way this guy's getting on the board.
that could work. I think there is bound to be some synergy where this card gets play. still think darkshire is the best card we've hjad in a while for lock, be sad to see it go next year ;'(
If it was a Battlecry there might be fun possibilities with the card but since it is Deathrattle it is an absolute waste of card space in every way. Dust that junk.
Since his effect is Deathrattle his stats should have been like 4/4, 4/3, or 4/2 to make him remotely playable.
Although I don't think the card is particularly good, I think people are underselling the card. Pulling a minion from your deck is nicer than pulling one from your hand. If you're playing a wild Reno Demonlock, there's tons of huge demons to throw in and you can ignore all the small demons (aside from Voidcaller and maybe that new 2/4 taunt) to almost guarantee a tempo cheat. Warlock's got plenty of recovery tools as seen by handlock tapping T2 and T3 traditionally so it's not too painful to drop early demons, and you can even include non-demons to still have an early game. The 2/2 body sucks but pulling a Krul, Mal'Ganis, Doomguard, hellfire guy, or even Despicable Dreadlord makes this an overall tempo gain. I wouldn't count it out quite yet.
A 5 mana 2/2 that will usually do nothing on the turn you play it? It's a little underwhelming.
Its only 2 health so you can be sure you easily destroy it yourself on next turn. It's a very powerful double hedge-sword, in wild format, at the very least ..! Imagine the value potential on your turn 6 ; amoung those possibilities ... No draw back Doomguard (no need to discard 2 cards), and/or an early board presence for Mal'Ganis,Krul the Unshakled or any big demons you fancy ..! ^^

We've come a long way since Voidcaller
Recruit a Voidlord or Abyssal Enforcer - you don't really need Voidwalker in Demonlock so it's pretty strong if you tweak your deck a little bit.
I keep goofing on these deathrattle cards, I keep thinking their battlecry's lol
Waste of a Warlock card slot
Don't mind me just passing by
Too poor statted
And i don’t even play Paladins
There are awesome 5 drops in Warlock, this guy doesn't come close to making the cut unless you tailor a deck around him.
I rank him bad.
edit: After discussion with a colleague I change my vote to playable. I think he will see play in control lock.

Cruel Dinomancer synergy!
Because that's the only way this guy's getting on the board.

overall too weak to see much play.
A 5 mana 2/2 with little significance is just bad.
InB4 Big Demon Warlock, boyz.
Shit.

I rate this double hedge-sword 8/10 :P
"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"The devs seem really scared of how the Recruit mechanic could've turned out so they ended making most of them underwhelming.
