Exactly. This change does have enough of an effect that it should reduce the cost of the card— summoning Dreadsteeds and pinging them off to activate on-summon effects was a clear part of the archetype. This nerf should justify a cost reduction of at least 1.
super bad, because the whole point of the dreadsteed interaction was to use Spiritsinger Umbra to have infinite fodder for things like sacrifical pact or Anima Golem, it's not tier 1 but it's definitely a fun and interesting deck that had all the potential to be fun and made 2 previously never seen cards into playable fun stuff, yes Anima Golem is playable in that combo
and i can't believe i'm the one saying this but this is the first time i want to see an AoE nerfed, let the steed be and change the wording of this dumb card to "if an enemy minion dies cast it again" because anyways the only time you'd be able to use one of your own minions to cast this again is with 1/1 tokens generaded from zoo decks, and zoo overall doesn't want to even be playing this card on the first place much less clear its own board,
this nerf just sends a lot of fringe warlock cards that "may have been played in the future in some meme niche decks that you could win some games with" into "will never see the light of day",

Dr. Boom is fine. he would be balanced in current day Standard. Mad Scientist is fine. and Shredder doesnt need a nerf. not even every deck runs it anymore, same with Boom
To prevent infinite interaction with the new Warlock Card, Defile, the Deathrattle of Dreadsteed will be changed to -
Deathrattle: At the end of the turn, summon a Dreadsteed.

I think it's good they're changing old cards so that they do not limit card design. RIP the good ole' Baron-Steed decks though.
My Mayor Noggenfogger, Dreadsteed deck might be dead... but that's okay, I guess!
It's disappointing since Dreadsteed was a really neat card, but it's likely a healthy change

actually that might be useful, as with this change you can no longer get locked by a board full of dreadsteeds and be unable to play anything else

There goes my favorite card in my favorite deck.
No longer can I kill off dreadsteed multiple times a turn to abuse its deathrattle. (One of the big reasons to play a 4 mana 1/1.)
I may as well dust noggenfrogger now since dreadsteed won't resummon to protect him.
