I see this card like a proactive one, to start your wicked witchdoctor turn, most of our spells are reactive and sometimes we even have to spend a lightining bolt on the face and that doesn't get us anywhere... I can see this card being used only next year tho... our early game right now makes this card useless. Next year will make us close of what token druid is.
Can't wait for Funny Hearthstone Moments video where opponent on 30, shaman on 1 and has only 1/3 tunnel trogg on board. 23 times finders keepers into finders keepers into lava burst and lethal!
Most overload cards are very good for shaman, especially for burst damage.
This is why the overload itself on this card: pool of selection is high quality.
Also, there's plenty of cards with overload synergy, as well as many cards that unload it, allowing for great burst in the same turn, with no neat overload cost.
I agree! Like, with I Know a Guy you get to chose only one thing, which is Taunt, yeah there is some pretty good ones, but they are just stall/minions mostly played against Aggro/Zoo decks, so they don't have any flexibility. Overload cards on the other hand (like what I posted on my previous post) are REALLY flexible, you have all kind of stuff, things for when you are behing, for when you are ahead, healings, finishers, basically everything. Yeah Overload 1 is a high price, but it is worth in this case comparing both cards.
I do think that Deathrattle minions on the other hand are better than Taunt minions, they are not better than overload cards, but the 1 overload here it makes a difference.
If I was to to place then in order of better to worst, it would be something like this:
1) Raven Idol: This one by far is the best, has more flexibility and larger poll, also combos with Fandral Staghelm;
2) Journey Below: Pretty good card, can fit in most rogue decks particularly those with deathrattle synergy;
3) Finders Keepers: One of the best selection of cards to choose, also has some synergy with Tunnel Trogg and Unbound Elemental, slower than the others but better quality overall;
4) I Know a Guy: Hard to evaluate, because this card can be good if Taunt warrior is good, in that case it will probably see more play than Finders Keepers, but I think comparing both in a vaccum I would choose the shaman one, for sure!
5) A Light in the Darkness: I like the card, but it is not worth the price/too slow for what it does, it has some uses in some slow decks, but usually it is better just put a good minion instead.
How does this work when you are not shaman and you pull this card somehow (Swashburglar) . You won't be able to choose any card because they are all shaman class cards?

You can choose and play any card you want... same as any other "stolen" cards like Priest Thoughtsteal etc.
For Finders Keepers, less than a fourth of the overload cards can be considered mediocre/garbage. In contrast, for Journey Below about a third of the cards are garbage and for I Know a Guy about 2/3 of the card pile is trash.
Needs testing. Possibly good. The limited overload pool makes it a lot more predictable than something like the Rogue Deathrattle card.
Maybe someone else said this already, but because of the overload (1), I think this should have been a 0 mana spell.
I love it, really good card for control shaman, a jolly for every season.

If it didn't have overload it may be playable, as is pretty bad.

It gives you a 16.7% chance to discover healing (Jinyu Waterspeaker), 31.4% chance for AOE (Lightning Storm and Elemental Destruction), 31.4% for taunt (Feral Spirit and Earth Elemental), 44.2% for removal (Lightning Bolt, Stormcrack, Lava Burst), 44.2% for burst (Lightning Bolt, Lava Burst, Doomhammer), and 44.2% for big bodies (Flamewreathed Faceless, Fireguard Destroyer, Earth Elemental). Against both aggro and control, you have a 65% to discover something particularly useful (healing, AOE, taunt and removal, and burst, removal and big bodies, respectively).
For a control deck it can add flexibility.
I was wrong about this card, Working far better than I expected.
Against aggro you get heal, taunt, AoE and removal.
Against control you get new big dudes, removal and burst.
