Neutral card reduce weapon costs by 2, use this, starving buzzard attack, draw card, next turn attack, hound master and other things. It has synergy in proper combo. Its a filler combo at 7 mana . . I am afraid midrange hunter got better . Beed to wait and see synergy
It's not amazing but i'm not buying all these "dust the garbage" comments, you're all clearly trolling, the card is decent, obviously the piranas are beasts, what the hell do you think they are, mechs, demons ? But hey be my guest, dust it, and regret it.
People ALWAYS complain about hunter not having viable slow decks and whenever they try to push it, you're shitting on their heads. But if this card was super strong, guess what, you would complain even more ! waaa another strong hunter card waaaa wadafuk blizzard why you do dis to me waaaa give some more love to my favorite class waaaaa
Not to mention that's the one and only hunter card we've seen from the set.
And this is nowhere near as bad as tentacles for arms/poisoned blade.
Grow up, be patient, experiment, and then, if this doesn't work, call this card garbage and dust it. Grow up is the mandatory first step, don't forget it.
As far as i'm concerned, I can't think of any reno hunter deck that wouldn't include this card.
Nah it will not see any play in constructed decks unless there is great synergy with upcoming cards.
I think a lot of people are missing the point of this weapon. What makes it playable is that it summons a 1/1 BEAST. So you basically pay 5 mana to definitely have a Beast for the next 4 turns so you don't have to worry about having a Beast to enable Houndmaser, Ram Wrangler, Kill Command etc.
In theory you can have this and play a totally different hunter archetype. Some fun dragon hunter but also have this weapon + Houndmaster and Kill Command in your deck without having to add any other beasts.
Provably won't fit into current hunter decks, but I wouldn't be surprised if some new hunter archetype comes out and this is one of the key cards in it :D

There is also great synergy with existing cards, why don't you mention that ?
it doesn't have great synergy with existing cards just tell me a reasonable synergy and I will find a better solution among existing cards.

I don't think you would play this card in a deck with Kill Command. KC is a very aggressive card but this is a very slow card.

lets say that you have an empty board and this at 6 mana would you prefer to use houndmaster on a piranha or with a 2 or 3 drop ? I would prefer to use it on a 2 drop instead of Piranha
There is already dozens of synergies with hunter's mark such as Unleash the Hound's also hunter's mark is mostly waste of a slot in the deck
Kill Command on turn 6 or 5 and you need a beast why don't you put on the hunt into your deck instead of this ? so you will have more flexibility.
Tundra Rhino is 5 mana and this weapon is 5 mana means two turn to get real value I would prefer to use Tundra Rhino with Savannah Highmane. Scavenging Hyena ? well they will just remove Hyena before you attack with Piranha unleash the hounds and snake trap is a better option with Hyena or infest. Ram Wrangler you again need 2 turn to play it is not a good value for two turn. Call of the wild C'mon what the hell do you think piranhas will survive for 5 turn and you will wait one turn to attack with piranha. it is a good synergy with Doomhammer but Shaman doesn't put it to his deck Why would I put that thing to my hunter deck
The card really isn't as terrible as it looks although I can't really imagine it seeing play. Not because it's bad though, but rather because Hunters already have options like Stranglethorn Tiger and Tundra Rhino which seem better most of the time.
The weapon is so slow that there is no way you run two of these....You can possibly run one in Midrange....It's a great value card and nice in Arena...Just might not have all the puzzle pieces to be effective in Constructed.....Same reason Charged Hammer was never played.

I see this as an attempt to make sea giant and starving buzzard relevant in hunter again.
The problem is that 1 damage AOE is so easy in standard right now (maelstrom portal, ravaging ghoul) that flooding the board with 1 health minions isn't particularly attractive.
Strictly speaking, this card is fairly priced; but like any expensive, high-durability weapon, it is quite susceptible to Harrison / Ooze.
If anti-weapon tech becomes less prevalent, I could see this being decent as a steady source of tokens, which will be nice to have against control decks, and an interesting combo with Tundra Rhino (effectively making the weapon a 3/4).
All that said, it feels too slow and weak to tech cards to see consistent constructed play to me.

I'm not going to sleep on this card, but it certainly isn't something that screams use me. Well...maybe jackie chan can figure this one out as well.
I am calling it now. This will be a dark horse of the expansion and will see a lot of play.

because Harrison Joness is not a thing already!
I will say it is playable. That is if you are playing Blackwater Pirate . Have a Knife Juggler on board and you got an ok combo
So you thought only Mage had an exodia combo eh
This card is decent vs. control. Not even good, just decent.
Hunter is already the best class vs control so this will never see any competitive play.
Against aggro it's useless.
