After looking at all the trash tools priest got in the new adventure, I was wondering if Purify is indeed considered worst than previous cards. This poll is designed to designate the most stupidly designed card in hearthstone. The following four cards have all been described as "Useless, idiotic, and incredibly disappointing".
Now I understand that there are other awful cards out there, but these cards are the ones that make you wonder if Team 5 has actually played this game. Here are the major reasons why these cards are listed and not others...
Poisoned Blade: It takes 8 mana and 3 turns to make this card as good as hero power + deadly poison. Has long been considered the worst of the worst. Never seen play
Purify: Newly announced card for priest. Priest is already in a bad spot (worse than last year's shaman) and this card takes the cake. Has led to the creation of at least 2 petitions that request for the removal of this card (one petition even wants team 5 fired over this card). Also it's a two mana card that screws over your own minions 90% of the time for 1 card. RIP Priest 2016
Majordomo Executus: A minion that quite literally makes you lose the game almost instantly. This card is so bad that you put this in your deck in hopes that your opponent's Sylvanas steals it thereby winning you the game. Several decks have been tried, almost none have worked.
The outrage over Purify is caused by the state Priest currently is in. There just is no reason at all to play it really, the only remotely viable decks are Control and Dragon Priest and both of those are outclassed by Warrior Control variants; I'd even go as far as saying that if as a Warrior you had access to the complete arsenal of Priest, the only card you would even consider playing is Entomb.
Purify itself is bad but it's not worse than Poisoned Blade - its release just happens to be way more frustrating than Poisoned Blade 's because Priest is in desperate need of good cards while Rogue always had alternatives to Poisoned Blade.
Poisoned blade isn't poorly designed at all. It's just overcosted by 3 mana. At 1 mana it would be a very cool card.
Majordomo is tons of fun, has some synergy with mage and stuff, really cool cards, you should get out of your competitive bubble sometimes.
Tentacle for arms is the same as poisoned blade, very interesting card but way overcosted. (3 mana would be good)
So I vote purify, because it's bad and stupid beyond the mana cost. But it's still an intersting effect on paper.
There are many cards more poorly designed than any card in you list. I mean 4 mana 7/7 dude, why is this not in the thread ? Flamewreathed Faceless is the embodiment of poor design.
Poisoned Blade and TfA are poorly designed because they cost way too much. They would be cool, but as it stands, they are overpriced by 3 mana (3! how do you even do that?). That in itself is poor design.
You're right, Majordomo is fun, but that's all it is. Like the angry chicken deck, it's fun when it works, but usually doesn't. The main problem with MD is the Rag hero. 8 health is a poor design choice, 15 would have been much better.
Purify is only a silence, something that priest already has (The card is actually called silence). I argue that Purify is a boring, useless, and ultimately awful card.
I though about putting the 4 mana 7/7 (kappa) on here, but strictly speaking, it isn't a bad card. It is a bad design choice I admit, but it is actually used unlike everything else on this list. The 4 mana 7/7 overload 2 sounds good on paper (6 mana 7/7) but on turn 4 a 7/7 is devastating. I might add it later. We'll see.
Shoot, you're right, I completely forgot about Boogeymonster. I don't think cursed blade is that bad (it's decent in arena), but yeah, there was no excuse for Boogeymonster, I'll have to add it.
Tentacles for Arms has infinite value, and while it is a bad card, it can be a valuable asset in the fatigue game, or if you get it off something like Malkorok.
Majordomo Executus has been tested in some "for fun" decks, grinder mage and such. It can be a different yet interesting way to play, but also very difficult.
Imo the vote is between Purify and Poisoned Blade. However, i voted Poisoned Blade, because if i had both cards in my hand, which one would i play first? That would be Purify. In a desperate situation, i prefer to waste 2 mana with Purify silencing a minion and drawing a card, potentially a useful card, than wasting 4 mana in a useless weapon like Poisoned Blade which wont be able to save me. However it is situational, like every card, but my vote went to Poisoned Blade.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
Are we only talking standard? Hemit Nesingwary and Boogeymonster are tied for least played legendaries of all time. Hermit destroyed a beast at a time when nobody was playing beasts except hunter. I feel these two are worse than the others because when you are so happy to get a legendary until you see what it is.
I'd say Hemit And Boogey are tied, and then Tentacles , then Poisoned Blade. Then maybe Light's Champion tied with Purify and Savagery.
None of these are "poorly designed cards," they're just bad. Examples of poorly designed cards include Tuskarr Totemic, which is poorly designed because it's got an extremely relevant RNG factor on turn 3, a very early turn to gain an advantage. I'm not sure how to word that better, but the fact that it can summon a Totem Golem or Mana Tide Totem on turn 3 (or just a normal 0/2 or 1/1), is just unhealthy for the game. The cards in this poll are unique, and generally bad, but not poorly designed.
Boogeymonster, being neutral, doesn't screw over an an entire class like Purify does. As a Priest player, it is highly offensive that Purify will actually come to exist. Its mere existence just.... makes my blood boil over with saltiness.
Majordomo Executus is a fun card. It's also a combo card and I've seen streamers like Dog playing Majordomage with a surprisingly good success. Poisoned Blade and Tentacles for Arms are weapons with abilities and that makes them apart. Because you can get them without having to pay their mana-cost. Tentacles for Arms is a well designed card simply because it belongs to Malkorok's and Blackwater Pirate's set. Poisoned Blade is a card I like existing because Malkorok exists. It's obviously bad as a Rogue card, but it put some thinking about whether to attack, to play a minion, to hero power etc. when you get this weapon.
Purify on the other hand… well. Priest already has a card which is Silence. This card isn't (ofc) played because even if it's a tempo card, the value lost by losing a card isn't worth the tempo gained by silencing a minion. Therefore, Blizzard devs might have thought like this: Well, Silence fits with Priest: it could be about brainwashing, it's a control mechanism, etc. You could also play it on Herald Volazj tokens, etc. Value lost? Well, let's make it draw. But let's also make it only usable on your own minions. And that's how the worst spell in the history of Hearthstone was born.
Purify is designed with flavour in mind (removing debuffs/curses is something Priests commonly do), which translates badly to HS gameplay, but it definitely isn't a poorly designed card.
None of these are the worst "designed", they're just badly balanced. Of these Poison Blade is probably the worst, because Majordomo can be fun/have uses in Freeze Mage, Purify can at least self-silence an Aldor or Ancient Watcher or something and cycle and Tentacles For Arms in theory could be great in a 1-of for a fatigue deck. But Poisoned Blade is too easily countered and needs to be a centerpiece while having a low payout.
Any card that summons a specific type of minion (ex. Tuskarr Totemic , Murloc Knight) without a mana restrain should be reworked. They limit the future card design so much , we can never have a totem or murloc bigger than 4 mana(And even thats insane). All totems will be aggro ,some cool ideas will never be seen because otherwise those card will be an instant win 1 out of 9 Times.

Majordomo is bad, but it's at least fun, flavorful with a cool effect so I don't think it deserves being in this list.

Let me change your mind...
Purify will never lose as many games as Majordomo Executus from Confessor Paletress or Sneed's Old Shredder or Cursed Blade from Malkorok or Blingtron 3000. However, since it arrived during a time when Priest was in dire need of good cards, I am pretty sure plenty of people will vote for it out of anger.

Purify became a meme in literally 12 hours.
And the most poorly designed card is still Old Old Warsong Commander, give literally anything you summon Charge?

No such hatred for Boogeymonster.
Bad players whine.
Good players adapt.

You know there is a card called Hemet Nesingwary..
Obviously Tuskar Totemic?!
Why cant I vote for anything other than those 4 cards? Those arent even the worst 4 cards in HS let alone the 4 worst designed.

option 4, Flamewreathed Faceless
