The main problem I've been finding with C'Thun Priest is that it runs out of steam very easily, and doesn't have any outs if you lose board control. Your minions have nice stats, but druid, shaman, and mage can out-tempo you, while warrior can usually outvalue you with weapons (Haven't run into any paladins, rogues, warlocks, or hunters yet in my admittedly limited sample size). I find myself running into topdeck mode a lot of the time unless I get a good Northshire + COH turn off, and if you lose board, you no longer have tools like Lightbomb to reset.

I actually went in thinking the opposite and was pleasantly surprised. I just tweaked the Blizzard list a bit and it slowly but surely got me back up to rank 5 after my failed yogg rogue.
i havent run into too much c'thun deck but i have been playing c'thun warrior and c'thun druid, the results are pretty surprising since most aggro just die in its path..... i think the lowest my life fell to was like 3 against a shaman who ran out of steam.

Ya totally, i'm sitting at level 4 doing very well. it does suffer from lack of unreliable AOE but having so much damn heal is pretty sweet. this is mine:
Like i said in the description, i think i might take out the 2 drop cthun dude for Embrace the Shadows cuuuuuz when u have a hand of dudes and 2 circles and EVERYTHING on the board has 4 health its lame... ordinarily i would say that card is bad but since no Lightbomb, kinda need it...
Played agaisnt this with neo patron warrior, kind of an esy win, specially since that deck won't be running excavated evil :P and no holynova + spell dmg sheningans.
seemed weak to me really, he put out C'thun but then what? nothing I pinged and executed.
I played against a couple C'thun priest, the problem that I saw is that they didn't have enough draw power to get their C'thun unless you get a god hand. Against aggro it will do good but against an experience control player it might struggle a bit.
IDK I won my first 10 C'Thun priest games mostly against aggro decks. Then I started queuing up druids and warriors and it went way downhill from there.
I think the deck will be more consistent when the dust settles and the meta picture gets clearer
I'm sorry, but priests are the most annoying to play against for me at the moment, along with control warrior c'thuns. In these decks theres too much power early game in minions, removal and cabal spam to allow for board control even with an aggro deck to get through it.
Mind you priest is all i seem to be playing against, fed up to god with facing priests
Even though they lost Lightbomb, C'Thun Priest seems promising so far. I think with a little refinement it might end up being better than C'Thun Warrior, as far as control is concerned.

'There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact'
I think it can be good once the perfect list is found. Right now I find that if I play too many control/healing/card draw cards I end up not buffing C'Thun enough and if I play too many C'Thun minions I don't end up drawing enough cards to keep up and/or draw C'Thun in time.
I found my C'thun priest struggling a bit until I added an excavate evil and a forbidden shaping to help with the early curve and/or late game power. This helped alot.
I've actually had promising results with my deck. I also had a wonderful moment when I cast a Forbidden Shaping for 10 mana and out popped an 18/18 C'Thun.
We're only one of two classes with two C'Thun related minions. But for the larger bodies you need to go Neutral.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
Been trying out a C'Thun/control mix and i think it performs more favorably than the actual C'Thun deck. There are too many mediocre cards in the set that buff C'Thun to actually run all of them AND run good Priest cards, and we really ultimately just want to get Twin Emperor Vek'lor and Twilight Darkmender to proc. It runs pretty well at Rank 5.
i'm having troubles with my list, works against zoo and paladin but againt other stuff, also i lost miserably against a C'thun Mill rogue deck due to some Rl distractions

I dont think C'Thun Priest can keep up with the meta. I didnt expect that, as we got some pretty nice bodies (3/6, 4/5, 6/5) with cool effects.
What are your thoughts on this?

priest was the only class ive ever really enjoyed playing, and now i cant play it
im just glad i didnt buy any packs this time

I have no idea in the long run but for now I'm 7-0 at rank 11-9 with this deck

I've been doing pretty well with my c'thun priest so far. I might post my build if you want.
RIP yogg-saron good things don't last forever :(
