The irony is streamers have been trying to make it work but most of them just drop ranks. Dog did better than anybody but he barely moved until he switched decks

posted a message on Card Reprints? Moves to Classic?
    Quote from T4te >>

First of all, people consider it as a possibility, becaue BB himself said they may consider it. Of course it's not set in stone and may never actually happen, but may also happen as well, therefore there is a room for discussion.

And you are badly mistaken there is no need for moving cards to classic. First and most important reason is that classes aren't equal in basic/classic set and Blizzard is forced to the same tools to those classes which miss certain tool every expansion. For example Priest will most likely get AoE every time the old rotates out. Shaman will probably always get some early game, because when Totem Golem, Tuskarr and Troog go away, their only early drop will be Feral Spirits. This is a real issue for designers and they are aware of that.

Another thing is neutrals also should contain some universal tools. When Healbot rotated out, they gave us Apothecary as a replacement. And they will always give us some universal healing. It was even stated that they know such tool should be in the game. Once again they wouldn't be forced to do so, if only Healbot was moved to Standard.

There are gaps on different levels of classic set atm and Blizzard has 2 solutions - either fill them every format (what they pretty much did with WotOG with mixed results) or fill them once and for all by moving some tools to Standard.

I think this was Blizzard's intention in printing such good cards for Naxx and GVG. As the each class got it's identity post launch, the devs started filling in gaps with adventures and expansions.
I guess they realized down the line that rotating sets out would keep the game fresh, but, for this year, they didn't replace enough core Naxx/GVG cards to keep every class balanced. I hope they'll bring back old cards/effects in different ways, like Justicar Trueheart with different stats or Zombie Chow with a different downside, for example.

posted a message on Stop complaining about X class or X deck being bad.

Well... Blizzard won't introduce a 10th class is because 1) they don't want one class to be behind the curve and 2) 1/10th of pulled cards would be useless to most players. That's exactly what happens when one class isn't viable. Now, 1/9th of the game doesn't work.

I guess they realize Injured Blademaster is Priest's only good early card so why not have a chance at six of them?

I don't see how hard it is to just play a different class. It's fun to try new things, but people just won't accept the fact that priest isn't good right now.

Priest is the most unique class but it keeps getting dumped on by the devs

posted a message on Priest Will Always Be Bad / Warrior Will Always Be Good

Priest has the worst card draw in the game. Each class has a spell to draw multiple cards at a time except Priest, so it has to rely on combos (with Northshire Cleric,Wild Pyromancer + spell, Circle of Healing, etc.) to make it happen.

This doesn't work for a few reasons. You need to draw into your draw cards, which is more difficult because you'll need more than one. Even if you draw correctly, you need to use your draw cards, Pyro and CoH, to clear the board to stay alive. Other classes can push tempo and draw independently but Priest can't both control tempo and draw because the cards for each are the same.

posted a message on So entomb kills C'Thun??

I don't think they considered the C'Thun - Entomb interaction before the release. On day 1, if you entombed C'Thun, he'd still be buffed and doom caller didn't work. Next day, he became a 6/6 after entomb. And now, doom caller brings him back. I'm not sure why this is literally changing daily.

posted a message on C'Thun Priest turns out to be mediocre. What do you think?

IDK I won my first 10 C'Thun priest games mostly against aggro decks. Then I started queuing up druids and warriors and it went way downhill from there.

I think the deck will be more consistent when the dust settles and the meta picture gets clearer

posted a message on What about Priest removal cards ? Powerful AOE (Combo) ?

Good news is the big Lightbomb targets, like Dr. Boom, giants, and anything Druid combo, all get hit in the standard switch. Most tempo decks are still vulnerable to Wild Pyromancer, Auchenai SoulpriestHoly Nova, and Excavated Evil so it shouldn't be bad

posted a message on Poll: Which Class "won/lost" WotG?

I think Shaman got the best cards, and Priest / Rogue the worst.

But with that said, Shaman won't benefit that much from a slower meta, while Priest will / Rogue could

Does this effect both player's C'Thun? It doesn't specify "Your C'Thun" like the other cards that buff him do.

You are right. It states 'C'Thun's' IN PLURAL!
So the catch is: If your opponent has C'Thun, you can't play this. Otherwise you will kill yourself at opponent turn 10.

"C'Thun's" is just singular possessive. Not a trick
