My first attempt at a competitive Dragon Paladin deck for standard in RoS! Been waiting for some Dragon Paladin support and even though we didn't get a lot its better then none! This deck takes a midrange/control approach. So far I am having a blast! There are several healing elements that can help against aggro/midrange decks and still has enough power to handle long games with other control decks. I am still tweaking it as I go but I am enjoying it heavily!
Let me know what you think and if there are any improvements you can think that can help it out! I currently have Harrison Jones teched in for rogues and warriors atm. Was also thinking of taking out Twilight Drake and putting in a second Scaleworm. The rush is very handy and if it gets hit from a Dragon Speaker that can be a big swing in tempo.
Also I have found using High Priest ThekalAlextraszaNozari a very fun combo. Yes it might take several turns to set up but the healing is incredibly strong!
I can't get Dragon Paladin to work. It''s missing just a few cards. The lack of good 1 or 2 drop dragons is really brutal.
It's such a shame. It's like they tease us with great cards (Cathedral Gargoyle) and then fail to give enough support for the archetype to be truly competitive.
Ditto with with Jonesy said, was running the build with Shirvallah with 2 consec/holy wraths. Banking on good spells from firetree witchdoctors for additonal spells but I do believe what's needed is that 1-2 mana dragon drop to get the early game going faster.

Maybe next expansion.
Yeah I feel yah. I have always tried hard to make Dragon Paladin work in standard when I can and I was hoping the new support we could finally be competitive. The deck is definitely viable and still fun just frustrating when better decks just win with less effort/luck etc. I do have a feeling we will get more support over the next two expansions!

Yeah I am hoping we get an early game dragon(1-2 cost) and a mid game dragon next expansion (a good 4-6 drop)
So is your attitude, feeling the need to make a brand new board account just to go around insulting people on their decks, spreading crap in EVERY comment you've made so far on that account, that is what's "Horrible", but by the looks of if you've been banned now and about time, don't need idiots like you around here. lol
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
I've tested the Barista girl and she can work wonders. Problem is in my experience that a dragon shell with Ms. Barista is to slow and clunky to work well together consistently.
The archetype needs some lower costed battlecry dragons to really get it going which we sadly don't have at the moment.
Was thinking about mixing secrets with blade for early game and transitioning into mid game push with buffed Bronze Drakes. Closing long games with big minions is rather difficult in my opinion.
I have made some adjustments to my deck, I will post it later tonight but so far it has really helped improved my games against not only bomb warriors but full control warriors as well!
Similar deck to mine. The key seems to be early game pressure. If you can stay on the board while holding 2-4 dragons at time of buffing, you can close out everyone except sometimes bomb warrior.
I think one card that would make it "slightLy' better is the barista woman card, but what can one take out?
I've played with her; she's in my current deck in place of Archmage Vargoth. I'm torn on her use. Lots of extra value, but this deck already has TONS of value. Tempo is more important for the non-dragon cards.
Due to the meta and playing an incredible amount of bomb/control warrior I made some changes that really have helped with long matches!
I found that Lightforged Blessing works wonders with High Priest Thekal as well as the pressure of bomb warrior with all the constant damage. Archivist Elysiana also has been a huge boon against not only bomb warrior (gets rid of bombs when you use her) but it really helps against the very long grindy matches with control warrior.
Scaleworm I found to work better then Twilight Drake which I found to be too slow. Lastly I found Ysera way more beneficial then Alexstrasza especially with Lightforged Blessing giving so much healing from your big dragons!
The updated decklist looks great. I would propably drop Nozari and Archivist Elysiana to put back the two Twilight drakes :-). The deck doesnt want to go to fagitue. Or you put in a Prismatic Lens it´s realy powerful card draw.

Thats my opinion so far! Enjoy ^.=.^

Could take out a scorcher, haven't see much use of them so far.

I have thought of adding her somewhere hoping she could help in the long games

I twisted in some life gain and shrink rays. Been working wonders actually.

Agree with Savius.
Spent another hour today trying anything to make this work. Dragons + Heal? Dragons + Mech?
Everything is just underwhelming.
If anyone gets a deck that can climb after rank 5 I salute you, and look forward to hearing about it.

Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game
I am now using Cocosasa’s mech secret blend and it does well. I made it to rank 3.
Aggro can crush you and a lot turns on card draw. But it’s good.
I'm currently trying out a secret package and it seems okay and helps a lot with the early game

Ok here is my updated deck list!
Here is my thoughts for my changes!

Loving the changes and the deck is very very fun!
Don't give up! I still have hope on Dragon Paladin! I'm still experimenting, no great decks to share (yet).
The pleasure is mine.
Dragon Paladin is still missing a few cards to make it really good. Maybe next expansion. Good luck to everyone trying though.

Curious how everyone's decks are performing so far! Only struggles I keep facing are token druid and hand/minion/dragon mage :(
