Perhaps next expansion...few more cards for dragon support in paladin class+ some decent neutral dragons and it should be competetive for once i hope, blizz is trying to push this archetype forever but it never made to the meta, feels sad.
I am sadly very frustrated as I can't seem to make or find a good competitive dragon paladin deck...just not enough tools which really makes me sad,. I truly hope Blizz gives us some more love in the next two expansions.
I have not yet played enough, I went 6-9 (W-L) last week; I tweaked my deck a bit and yesterday I finished 4-2 (rank 10 >>> 9). Nothing to write home about, but I'll keep playing it for the rest of the season to see how the deck performs.
Here is my third version of my Dragon Paladin deck. Been quite fun actually. I kinda found a sweet spot of enough healing to survive aggro and token till late game (Thanks to Nozari, Flash of Light and Crystalsmith Kangor) and with buffed dragons (Thanks to Dragon Speaker) to really push board threat against midrange/control decks. Its definitely not perfect and sadly not sure how far I can push with it but it so far it feels the most consistent of all the decks.
One card to bring this deck for Tier 4 meme to Tier 1 competitive.
7 manas hero card, your dragons have rush, hero power 2 manas discover a dragon.
That is the problem, only hyper aggro and insane tempo decks can survive without hero cards when other classes have this kind of card and dragon paladin (priest too) is a midrange deck.
Blizzard make a huge mistake with hero cards, or all classes have or no class should have.

Hey, I've been using a version with 1x Immortal Prelate and Da Undatakah. Combined with Bronze Herald you'll have an infinite Dragon generator. I don't run the late-game cards you do though, just more early stuff with this combo :p

Here is my build.Meme, but not everything is about laddering in this game.i have some answers for giants and pyro with lifesteal spell actually brings a lot of health right matchups.what i think is a must is sunfury protector.let warriors hit a giant dragon with taunt if they wanna send a bomb.and even buffers become buffed and huge threats , so if u survive till 5 mana,u should have some fun

Only decks that live in the meta are full of control cards that generate win conditions with discover/random cards.
It's futile trying to play normal cards that trade 1:1 or 1:2 right now.
Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game

So far this version has given me the best results so far! I finally hit rank 10 and moving slowly to rank 5!
Currently Rank 8 now! Deck has been working quite well c:

I also play a lower curve, the only cards I have in my version above 5 mana is the Crowd Roaster. Here you have it:

So not doing fantastic, but rogues were a terrible matchup for my dragon paladins. Doing better now that they aren't so prevalent on the ladder.
Decided to try out Nozari, turns out he's pretty strong in this Bomb Warrior metagame.

Any updates on the deck? I'm bored and want to try something different.
Put your spoiler here.

Theorycrafted a Dragon Control Paladin last night, with Uldum cards to support it -- mostly Salhet's Pride as a new draw engine.
