So now that they've changed him to copy highest tier minion it's trivial to copy it over and over while pumping it with extra buddy stats, as expected it's stupid strong.

Problem is a lot of battlecry buddies generate a lot of board value while most passive/end of turn buddies are just useless come tier 6. So with brann and one FoaF you could get quad or nonad buddy battlecries.

Even if you nerf FoaF to not be a battlecry itself issue remains that his discover pool is just battlecry / garbage.

Well, sneed with whirlotron stacked with bombs was already stupid prepatch, you only needed macaw and baron with it then you had 4 slots to soak zapp cleave or whatever and you wouldn't die to anything aside from some galactic 1200 hp board because golden macaw would drop 300 dmg worth of bombs with 1 swing.

Also if you're looking to "stack" whirlotron best buddy to discover is Maxwell, Mighty Steed, with golden brann you get golden whirlotron immediately which copies x6 the deathrattles - or you fill you hand up to 9 cards you can only get 2 in which case you do x3 -> x3 = x9 rattles.

So all I have to say is that friend of a friend is stupid and makes endgame even more highroll than ever before.

Brann + Friend of a Friend  -> discover Maxwell, Mighty Steed -> get 2 whirlotrons which double copy already doubly copied golden whirlotron... even tho mine didn't have perfect rattle stack I'm waiting for someone to pull it off on a larger scale

Sneed, powerleveled to 5 where I managed to find brann and baron on first refresh, then I got 1x normal + 4x gold bomb deathrattles on whirlotron.

Then I started deleting the lobby with 30+ dmg hits, only lost taunt once vs demon player that had two 200+ hp units. Managed to find 4 parrots and gold baron later.

Base rattle was 9 bombs x2 from macaw x3 from baron x4 damage = 216 damage spread across enemy board with 1 parrot swing.

Some buddies are so stupid strong you have to get truly unlucky with your shop not to get into top 4 with them (eg. curator).
Others are also strong but rely on one clutch minion (voljin with chromawing and a couple of others with tarecgosa).
Most of battlecry ones are gimped if they're not played with Brann on board.
And few of them are a joke that work better if they're just stolen and used by other heroes (togwaggle).

Generally they just streamlined the matches since you only need to get 6 minions

Is this abuseable? I mean tavern refresh rule being same like Ysera (whenever minion is added) so you can just reorder tavern, pickup 2 minions and freeze to guarantee new copy of rightmost is added?

Or is this a non issue since minions that come up with refresh are random either way

You can theoretically use Seafood Slinger as well but you'd need to force tavern tier 5 like a madman to discover it before buddy meter fills up second time.

First thought I got after few games is Tarecgosa will soon go to tier 4 or will get gutted entirely.

Her problematic design was always showing but with some buddies she's turning into a mindless must pick.

I thought it's next combat only before seeing this thread but it made me double check.

If stats show that he's indeed overperforming he's gonna get nerfed as soon as he stops being exclusive to BG perks owners as usual.

+1/+1 per turn is just laughable in this meta, sometimes even landing Charlie out of first tier 6 discover is not enough to carry out into lategame.

Ironically best blood gem generator is Gemsplitter but he gets often gets snatched as an offtribe and you can't find it.

Mecharel should not be able to proc off of another Mecharel. Only golden one should be able to do it so you aren't completely discouraged from trippling it.

I find Curator just useless if game doesn't have mechs + murlocs to "fix" it.

You can at most taunt it with houndmaster which is nothing special when argus exists, it just swallows some raw buffs from cup or jug and that's it. It ends up being irrelevant mid game, even if you find early lightfang you're better off selling it for a minion with actual skill.

Maybe make his hero power two-piece like Syndragosa:

(1) : Adapt your Amalgam.
Start the game with 1/1 Amalgam with all minion types.

You'd be presented with 3 options but they'd be weighted so plants are more rare after first pick (so you don't end up with x3 plant summon every game) and poison wouldn't appear at all until you reach tier 4 or even 5.

established meta is the worst

I just queue to try and do highroll or cheese setup (like nzoth ghoul bombs)

Regular match is just autopilot to tier 3 then desperately finding a tribe and scaling unit from tier 4, if you whiff first tier 5/6 discover it's almost always game over.

True, animations took forever and opponents were emoting me like no tomorrow.

I pick tree whenever possible because his hero power is one of few that actually changes the flow of combat instead of providing economy/stat boost.

Maybe Deathwing is another one but ultimately +2 attack stops being that relevant lategame so I find that it's best just to go wide with him and hope your tokens get to clean up everything while spamming tier ups.
