So, i'd like to build a Quest Mage, in its TTK version with Arcane Giants and Alex, for the simple reason i cannot afford crafting both the Quest and Antonidas.
And my Question is, why is Exodia much more popular than TTK, when TTK has just 3 combo pieces?
When i started hs, i played ttk quest mage, it required less tools, but armor was the death of it, i usually had extra mana on giants turn since they would cost 0, so id fireball to clear armor, or silence taunts. Although, you should wait or drop the idea of making either deck, because of the loss of babbling, ice block, tome and coldlight, and less impactful losses like valet, if blizzard dosent add an insanely op questmage support card, the deck is possibly dead
edit: didnt see wild tag, losses count only for standard
Edit 2; roaring torch+frostbolt will provide good damage, or apprentice +bolt+torch+ice lance+1 mana for free use, also applies for alex turn

Is TTK viable at all in Wild?
I think there's a version that uses simulcram and leyline manipulator to play the first two apprentices for free. Then you molten the others, play antonidas, and play a spell that's been leylined to zero. If that helps? Then you only have to craft antonidas.

The popularity of taunts is the main reason. Warlock, Paladin and Druid pretty much always have a taunt on board nowadays ;)

Exactly, the alternative is Wild Questless Exodia, of which i miss only Antonidas (and simulacrum).
The real point is that i really like Mage Quest, and without i might just stick to my Secret Mage as well.
About taunts, i was indeed fooling witb double polymorph and could even go with the third one (boar) if necessary.
However, armor is admittedly a problem, and Druid and Warrior can easily go beyond reach.
