I got my Secret Mage deck here, which as you guessed it isn't meant to be competitive. Though it may not be competitive too much, I would like to make it better and get some ideas on what I could change. So if you got any ideas on how to make the deck stronger then feel free to offer a suggestion!
When you play a deck with secrets, you expect tempo. With mage, when you play it midrangy, you end up controlling and it's just worse than Reno Mage. So, if you want competitivity, just switch to Reno.
Well I will definitely switch out Vaporize. As for the other suggestions, this is meant to be standard and non-competitive and I have no intersest in a Reno deck which I hate to play.
The way I took secret mage was as an Aggro/Tempo deck. There's not enough card generation in the deck to sustain for long periods of time and since you get tempo by playing a bunch of cards (imagine two Kabal Lackeys and two Secrets, four cards for 2 mana in one turn), you can push hard for an early win. You definitely need to add a Spellbender (screws with people) and two Kabal Crystal Runners. I like going with more of a rush package so that's why I use things like Mana Wyrm and Sorc Apprentice. Finally, Effigy seems like it could easily be wasted on lower level minions. Your deck seems to be a slower version (nothing wrong with that) but a fast one can crush opponents with the right hand. I'll link mine in here.
I played some games against a Jade Shaman and a few Pirate Warriors and won all of them to my surprise. I never saw the Kabal Crystal Runner, but the Spellbender made some saves.
@WhatAChamp - You're deck seems nice, though I prefer a slower play style for most of my decks. Effigy is a card I don't play with my minions under 3 mana most times. It typically comes in late game anyways and allows me to keep board pressure after my opponent wastes a trade or uses a spell, that is its purpose.

Fair enough! I rarely have success with it anymore as I find it runs out of steam fast and relies on strong momentum from mulligan. If slower has been working for you, then you may have a point with it!

The Nexus comes to the Inn with my set of Heroes of the Storm Legendaries!

Why not the the girl than gets discounted for each secret played? You would have 0 mana 5/5 x2
I'm sure than at least 1 could easily fit instead of Kabal Chemist and probably a Spellbender might be better than vaporize.
