Here's Satellite's big spell priest he piloted to #3 and #2 legend the first week of the Kobold's meta. (Pictures from Satellite are at the end, along with video footage from several Hearthpwn content creators.)

Latest Updates: Removed the nerfed cards and went with what seems to be the best list right now in ranks 5 to legend. Faerie Dragons are great but it turns out Cabal Shadow Priests are better. Use on big minions you weaken with Twilight Acolyte.
Basic plan with this deck
1. Play minions for tempo. Buff your other minions or refill your hand. Keep putting pressure on the board. Use Faerie Dragon to contest 3 health minions.
2. Bring out your dragons to contest the midgame. Have Duskbreaker ready/activated and use it wisely! Use Twilight Acolyte to neuter big threats.
3. Pile on with big dragons Twilight Drake and Drakonid Operative.
4. As early as possible, drop Spiteful Summoner for a free 8 or 10 cost minion and a devastating board swing.
5. Leverage your big spells further with Grand Archivist or play them from hand.
List updated on 12/13 with Satellite's latest changes.
Basic mulligan strategy
Always mulligan for Northshire Cleric and Netherspite Historian.
Against aggro always keep Duskbreaker and possibly another dragon.
Against slow decks (priest mirror, control warlock) consider keeping Spiteful Summoner.
With a good hand or the coin, consider keeping Kabal Talonpriest and Tar Creeper.
Alternate 2/3 mana cards to try/substitute
Faerie Dragon
Golakka Crawler
Curious Glimmerroot
Deathspeaker
Gluttonous Ooze
Mind Control Tech
Zola the Gorgon (reuse your Duskbreaker or Spiteful Summoner!)
If you want to run Prince Keleseth, Southsea Captain and his buddy Patches the Pirate like Firebat, check out: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1004039-big-spell-prince-tempo-dragon-priest (good option if you don't have Netherspite Historian)
If you want to run more board clears like Doomsayer and Dragonfire Potion, check out: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/999316-big-spell-dragon-priest
Here's both versions of the big spell/Spiteful Summoner deck (Satellite non-pirate and Firebat pirate) sitting in the top 5 of all priest decks in the rank 1-5 meta for the week of 12/13/17-12/19/17:
Enjoy the steamroll and may the big spells be with you!
Xixo won Seat Story VIII, going 3-1 in the finals with a similar deck and clinching with big spell hunter! He also brought big spell murloc paladin!

Would Mass Resurrection from Rise of Shadows be a good addition to this deck? If so, should it replace Free From Amber?
No.
What will you replace the Gadgetzans with when they rotate out?
Also how do you feel about Medivh?
Already working on a new list. Duskbreaker will be harder to get to, but I think the deck will still be successful. Medivh is also on the way out, so I wouldn't get too attached to him. :)
Spellbreaker is decent to mess with cubelocks. Shadow Word: Death also serves almost the same purpose as acolyte.
I think you might have forgotten this deck relies on big spell synergy. Shadow Word: Death is not an option.
21 games 16 wins / 5 losses (76% winrate) from 15 to 10 great winrate
Replacement for historian?
I went with Youthful Brewmaster and Master Swordsmith
wait how is that a good replacement for netherspite
What changes should we make after the bonemare and corridor creeper nerf?
Will have to experiment. Initial thoughts.
Creeper -> 2nd Twilight Drake
Bonemare may be playable at 8, but maybe swap 2nd to another Spellbreaker
What do you think about my changes to the decks post-nerf and in general?
Remove: 1 Corridor Creeper, 1 tar creeper, 1 grand archivist
Add: 1 Elise the trailblazer, 1 Medivh, and one spellbreaker
Justification: Creeper is now useless, and the extra silence against warlocks will be pretty useful. In addition, I find archivist can be wasteful and too situational since Medihv can also just be played for stats(plus if you're desperate Atiesh is a 1/3 weapon). Elise's battlecry can save you late-game.
Question for you: What do you think about replacing the last tar creeper with Zola? I don't think I should replace a 2 mana minion because the dragon race is necessary for the deck and the 2 mana minions are needed for curve. Also what might be good replacements for bonemare? I find that at 8 mana, bonemare just doesn't have the ability to be played because there will be far better options such as Free from amber.
Edit: Do you have any suggestions for me to try out?
Edit 2: Upon realizing my idiocy with Elise, I removed Elise and put in zola. What do you think?
Thanks!
Maybe -1 bonemare, for a shadowreaper? Another clear?
Love it. I'm 6-1 so far and that loss was only because the internet died and I couldn't find my mobile phone in time to set up a hotspot.
Great deck for its price! I went from rank 15 to 8 last month (Altough it took like 50 games, i feel like i could have been more lucky or played better). Against aggro the key is to use Duskbreaker at the right time. If you don't have Netherspite Historian like me, Duskbreaker is the only board clear and you really need to hang on to it. It's pretty annoying when you just need to use it but you don't have any dragons in hand, so i suggest keeping Faerie Dragon.
It's a pretty fun deck to play, except it makes you hate the Old Gods cards. Getting C'Thun,Yogg-Saron, Hope's End ,N'Zoth, the Corruptor or the worst: Anomalus out of RNG just feels really bad :/
I know this post is old but since Historian rotated out you can now craft her regularily without buying the Adventure :)
Instead of [card]Grand Archivist[/card] i am using [card]Medivh, the Guardian[/card], it gives me even more board control and nice picks with the weapon and spell combo. Just came from rank 15 to 3 with it!
isn't medivh bad? because the deck only has 4 spells
In most of the cases i have Medivh, the Guardian and Free From Amber in my hand, so i play Medivh and the next turn the big spell. It has been doing fine, still dont get in the situation where i need to use ALL the four spells and dont actually get Medivh in my hand!
