Here's Satellite's big spell priest he piloted to #3 and #2 legend the first week of the Kobold's meta. (Pictures from Satellite are at the end, along with video footage from several Hearthpwn content creators.)

Latest Updates: Removed the nerfed cards and went with what seems to be the best list right now in ranks 5 to legend. Faerie Dragons are great but it turns out Cabal Shadow Priests are better. Use on big minions you weaken with Twilight Acolyte.
Basic plan with this deck
1. Play minions for tempo. Buff your other minions or refill your hand. Keep putting pressure on the board. Use Faerie Dragon to contest 3 health minions.
2. Bring out your dragons to contest the midgame. Have Duskbreaker ready/activated and use it wisely! Use Twilight Acolyte to neuter big threats.
3. Pile on with big dragons Twilight Drake and Drakonid Operative.
4. As early as possible, drop Spiteful Summoner for a free 8 or 10 cost minion and a devastating board swing.
5. Leverage your big spells further with Grand Archivist or play them from hand.
List updated on 12/13 with Satellite's latest changes.
Basic mulligan strategy
Always mulligan for Northshire Cleric and Netherspite Historian.
Against aggro always keep Duskbreaker and possibly another dragon.
Against slow decks (priest mirror, control warlock) consider keeping Spiteful Summoner.
With a good hand or the coin, consider keeping Kabal Talonpriest and Tar Creeper.
Alternate 2/3 mana cards to try/substitute
Faerie Dragon
Golakka Crawler
Curious Glimmerroot
Deathspeaker
Gluttonous Ooze
Mind Control Tech
Zola the Gorgon (reuse your Duskbreaker or Spiteful Summoner!)
If you want to run Prince Keleseth, Southsea Captain and his buddy Patches the Pirate like Firebat, check out: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1004039-big-spell-prince-tempo-dragon-priest (good option if you don't have Netherspite Historian)
If you want to run more board clears like Doomsayer and Dragonfire Potion, check out: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/999316-big-spell-dragon-priest
Here's both versions of the big spell/Spiteful Summoner deck (Satellite non-pirate and Firebat pirate) sitting in the top 5 of all priest decks in the rank 1-5 meta for the week of 12/13/17-12/19/17:
Enjoy the steamroll and may the big spells be with you!
Xixo won Seat Story VIII, going 3-1 in the finals with a similar deck and clinching with big spell hunter! He also brought big spell murloc paladin!

I mean...... The whole point of the deck is based around spiteful summoner and grandarchivist.....
Yes, but by turn 8, you are more likely to have drawn the 4 spells that you have, which are BIG and are guaranteed to summon 8 or 10 cost minions with Medivh's weapon.
I would say YES, when you are playing with Grand Archivist it gets kinda random, because sometimes you dont want to waste your Mind Control picking some enemy card with low cost, or spending your Free From Amber with a card you dont actually want.
I ditched Grand Archivist for that exact reason mind control targets that I would get were garbage 80% of the time because the target is chosen randomly.
Use Cleric and Historian to help fend off the early game. Use Duskbreaker to clear off 3 or more minions (try not to waste it just one or two minions). Then develop your board every turn. Paladin is a very tough match up but you can still win 40-50% of those games.
Same here, no idea where these tier 1 winrates are coming from lol. Against aggro you can't find Duskbreaker. Against Raza priest they draw everything on curve and it's auto loss. Against other Spiteful priests they draw massively better minions from summoners. Hardly keeping 45% winrate at rank 10 with these decks... I guess I'm missing that hidden magic card that gives you the card draw you need.
Is Razanduin just a 100% loss with both players drawing well?
sorry u cant but if u like these drGON decks u need to crAft them anyway :D
FYI
You can't craft a card from an expansion if you don't own it.
well its still a fact every dragon deck runs them so get the expansion if you got the money just save up
? What? you can craft cards if u don't have them thats the whole point.....
https://imgur.com/a/B0XLM there
I really can't see a point for a free to play player to save up on the whole Karazhan expansion (and the Netherspite Historian is received after completion of the last wing) when it rotates out in two months.
Seems like a really poor advice for f2p players tbh, as rather spending money on the new expansion or buying packs from previous ones that are viable in standard, the player would spend all the money on an expansion that rotates out. Seems a bit counterintuitive.
Personally, I substituted that card with a Shadow Ascendant on my f2p account. Yes, it doesn't give you as much value as the Netherspite Historian but it gives you a bit more tempo and an ability to close out some games faster or bait some removal out from an opponent. And yeah. It's much cheaper than the Karazhan expansion.
I wonder what can i change 2x [card] Curious Glimmerroot [/card] for ?
I'm thinking in using this deck and I don't have Curious Glimmerroot too. I think I'll put some Tech cards like Acidic Swamp Ooze and Eater of Secrets
I put 2 [card]Shadow Ascendant[/card]
kabal courier similar effect and body
Looking at possible option cards for the deck for those that people may not have and also specific tech cards.
Eater of Secrets, Gluttonous Ooze, Skulking Geist as options to tech vs the meta range people are in, question is what card(s) are easily swapped in the deck to tech out?
pretty amazing deck, worth crafting and budget, playing with a few changes got me from rank 15 to 2 and im still climbing.
edit: just got legend with it
