No one mentioned compo potential with Deathwing, Dragonlord yet? I'm definitely gonna try this one
then you'll have to test it in wild! have fun!
Oh no, RIP. Seems like I'm getting old... just like Dragonlord :D
You can trade it to summon Obsidian Statue. Trade Statue to kill someone and then play Twilight's Call to summon back Statue and Coffin Crasher (which can summon for you another Statue, you know).
Over-powered on paper. Your opponent should decide carefully to kill it or not. This mechanics works like a Secret for Priest. Tough to deal with.
Why not? you only really need to have 1 Obsidian statue in hand to get value. Having extra in hand is not necessary, but if you happen to have one when you pull this of... great.
I would not say this is overpowered, but I can't argue it is not powerful move. I'm sure big priest will have use for something like this once Karazhan, Mean streets and Old gods cards rotate out of standard.
Really strong in a Quest Priest, if the deck is playable after the rotation (RIP N'Zoth)
Better a Coffin Crasher than a Castle Crasher.
Actually reminds me Voidcaller, without N'Zoth, the Corruptor I don't think it's going to see play in standard
I feel like we need Scooby Doo legendary to stop the priest next expansion!
Did some research on playable Deathrattle minions to be pulled by Coffin Crasher.
Tortollan Shellraiser, Obsidian Statue, Carnivorous Cube, Cairne Bloodhoof, Bone Drake, Violet Wyrm, Sated Threshadon, Rotten Applebaum
Not a long list, but Priest has a few options.
What's the use of pulling a Carnivorous Cube?
Because a 6 Mana Deathrattle: Summon a 4/6 is a superior Savannah Highmane. There's more than one way to use Cube than just its Battlecry.
True, but it takes lot of potential out from arguably one of if not the most powerful Deathrattle minion of whole game. A potential mind you, that might be even too big to lose.
The purpose of my list was to provide options for building a deck around Coffin Crasher, not the other way around. If the concern is that running Coffin Crasher would make Cube worse, then my all means don't run Crasher. The card's worth at least giving a try.
At what point did I said Crasher is not worth playing?
All I did was point out of flaw and why we would not want to get Cube from Crasher, the loss of potential and maybe a key combo piece. I didn't say "ugh, this card is not usable, it makes cube worse, worst card imo, dust it"
Heck, one of my favorite decks has it worse than Crasher. Cube hunter deck, which has risk of Seeping Oozeling copying Cube's Deathrattle, which essentially makes it 6 mana 5/4 deathrattle: do nothing. yeah, your 6 mana deathrattle: summon 4/6 is better.
but it is fun deck, because its build around Cube else where. Ooze is just fine addition that can become quite a rattler when hitting right targets.
in similar fashion, in a deck with both Crasher and Cube in it, Crasher isnt the card the deck is likely build around on, Cube is. We dont mind it, sure. but still.
To kill it or not to kill it. That is the question.
this is the new Drakonid Operative for sure
Drakonid Op is so much stronger. It gives you a look at your opponents deck and gives you a free card. this just swaps itself for another minion in your hand.
You might be missing the whole point of what I was saying. I didn't mean that literally, I meant this card is in that same "insanity" category. Clearly youre not seeing the great potential of this card and the big swing it represents on board in terms of tempo and perhaps value if you can manage to resurect or copy this.
I'd rahter just play Spiteful Summoner and actually win the game
