The Trump Theorycraft Train to Un'Goro
The self-proclaimed Mayor of Value Town has been up to his usual post-reveal theorycraft now that the entire Journey to Un'Goro set is out in the wild, and oh boy does he have some ideas. Below you can find all of Trump's creations. It sure will be interesting to see if any of them can go further than his Old Gods C'Thun Druid!
Thanks to ShadowsOfSense for putting these lists together from Trump VODs! A true hero.
Spotlight: Elemental Tempo Mage
No Mage Quest here but we do see the Elemental tribe make a strong appearance alongside the new Mage Legendary, Pyros. The goal is to always have something awesome to drop on the field and to use Elementals throughout to always active their synergies.
Lots of common Mage tools in the deck, so let's highlight some of the new cards you'll be playing with.
Elise the Trailblazer
Awesomesauce. Seriously, this card is going to be great since you've got some good draw to help thin out your deck, improving the changes of obtaining your pack. The value of the pack is higher than a normal pack you'd buy out of the store as you are on average going to get a Legendary but will at the very least get a rare. It should also be noted that the expansion contains 22 Elemental minions, which are great for synergies within your deck.
The 2 Mana to play Un'Goro Pack is just so silly. You should be sent to jail for getting 5 cards for that cheap because its an absolute steal, especially when that hand thins out late game! This card is the new Loatheb.
Blazecaller
The better Firelands Portal! You'll cut out the RNG factor and due to the amount of Elementals in your deck, and Elemental generation potential, you should almost always be able to play this later on in the game.
Tol'vir Stoneshaper
This is one annoying stone cat, and beats out the classic Sen'jin Shieldmasta by a mile. It should help kick any aggro you find to the curb and be a nice annoyance like our old friend Sludge Belcher to anyone else you come across. Play it alongside one of those cheap Elemental tokens you received early on via Igneous Elemental to keep the synergy rolling onto your next turn.

Spotlight: Quest Rogue
Rogue isn't dead! Well, at least we hope it isn't! The deck makes use of the new Rogue Quest, The Caverns Below which grants Crystal Core.
- The deck plays off of low-cost minions which can be played whenever drawn and to get out tons of damage once your Quest completes for the ultimate in value.
- You should use Mimic Pod or Thistle Tea to draw one of your cheap minions.
- Shadowstep or Youthful Brewmaster will help bring that minion back to hand to get extra plays. Shadowstep preferably!
- The quest will complete very quickly and then you just need to go crazy! 5/5 Patches the Pirate - the Dream!

All The Decks!
In total, we've got 12 theorycrafted Un'Goro decks from Trump. Do you have any awesome ideas for new decks?
After all's been said and done, I can tell that my theorycrafts were crap. My only consolation is that at least they were better than Trump's.
Will Trump be proven wrong again? ;)
Some of those decks, definitely but others can be a solid ground for other decks to start building from.
The self-proclaimed Mayor of Value Town.
I don't really give a shit what Trump thinks, but he actually said he thinks nothing will see play at Tier 1 other than Hunter. He's lost his touch tbh.
I like the pic of Trump you used for this article's thumbnail because it looks like he's roleplaying as a dinosaur. Ready for Un'goro! Rawr!
Anyways, these decks are definitely a potential starting point. I don't think anyone would suggest they're refined, meta-defining lists. It's just fun to think about, right or wrong.
How does the ele mage deck survive vs pirates?
Pray for an arcane explosion from the Babbling Book. Short of that, the only defense is the taunts. It's definitely not as fast as Pirate but it might be more effective against other midrange decks.
I think he's right about the value behind Elise. I can see it being somewhat consistently useful in elemental decks.
Its so sad to see almost a lot of classic cards instant pick in almost every deck every expansion.. how is this standard? look at the mage deck... so god damn sad...
New expansion guys WOOT!!
Lets build a druid deck: picking cards..
Innervate, wrath, swipe, wild growth, nourish.... not to mention 1x ancient of war is almost so good in any deck.
How is this standard blizzard? if the deck almost plays it self, the same mechanic over and over... swipe clear wrath ramp ramp...
Please consider rotating some of the OP classic cards like swipe, frostbolt, firey war axe, back stab to WILD.. so we can actually have a fresh meta.
So you just want to be forced to spend $100+ dollars on every expansion to remain competitive? GL. If that happens, count me and a ton of other players out.
Hearthstone is pay2win enough as it is, with just enough balance thrown in for F2P grinders to work towards valuable cards that they can continue to use throughout various expansions.
It might not seem like it if you hang out around here, but the average Hearthstone player does not spend tons of cash on card packs. Blizzard needs those players to stick around if the game is to continue being successful and not some increasingly insular niche of entropy.
ive been playing for about two years now and have only put about 50 dollars in. i got every adventure for free, pre ordered whispers of the old god not because i needed the packs but because i wanted the card back and through daily quests, arena, and a free pack every week from tavern brawl ive managed to almost get every card in the game. i don't feel like ive ever needed to grind. honestly just get good at arena and as long as you can average like 5-6 wins you will be fine. even if you don't have all the cards you can still make some pretty bad cards work so long as you properly understand the matchup and how to mulligin.
guess he just threw all the obivours possible archetype out there, so people won't call him neck-decker anymore. EleGiggle
Let`s just hope the meta slows down for real, I think some of those decks have real potential.
Do your part to help slow the meta down and put 2 Tar Creeper in every deck
You know the saying, I'm not happy until you're not happy.
Very few of these will end up being good in the present forms, but at least they sort of let us see things like, "No, I don't think that belongs there, but I think I know a card that does!"
I love how everyone here is talking shit about these decks and Trump in general, like they're the resident "experts".
Yet.....what do any of you have to show for it? ;) Any of you guys have 780k subscribers? Thousands upon thousands of actual strategies on show? Blizzard's ear? Rampantly abused deckbuilds?
Hell, do any of you even have the fucking Legendary card back lol? ;)
760k followers, not subscribers, HUGE monetary difference ;) Otherwise he'd be making enough money to rival the OTHER Trump lol
Make netdecking great again!
