    Initial Idea. I return feedback:

I agree with Vision136 in-that Improvised Poison is a problem when combined with the Rogue's latest weapon-acquisitions (Kingsbane and Spectral Cutlass). I also agree that Wish for Companionship is the best of the three: it's simple and cute. Blessing of Anzu is a dead card without Discard effects, and frankly I think Discard needs to fall away into Wild and be forgotten. We're finally moving into self-damage and other, better mechanics for the Warlock.

Haven't posted to one of these in a while so here's my rebirth. Here are my three cards; Avenging Stand, Desperate Prayer and Strike the Bargain!

Avenging Stand - After that abominable secret, Hidden Wisdom, I feel that Bellringer Sentry deserves a little bit of a push. That's where this card comes in. Apart from being a callback to Avenge, it allows for greater synergy between Paladin secrets as a whole whilst providing some solid early game defence.

Desperate Prayer - Maybe not as competitive as some healing cards, but initially is a Greater Healing Potion at a 3 mana discount. The only downside is that you Fireball your face at the end of the following turn so it's a net of 6 Health for 1 mana which is fine. An example of its use could be to save you from aggro and allow you to develop Taunt the following turn.

Strike the Bargain! - I'm open to change on this one as it's difficult to determine its power level. It's most obvious use would be in a miracle/aggro deck that empties your hand, and then refills with this. The coin helps to activate Combos early on if that's your desire and fits the flavour (yes I'm a Brit). Maybe I should increase the amount drawn or give more coins. I want to be careful due to it's power with Gadgetzan Auctioneer.

    Thoughts are welcome.

     Welcome back :)
I'm not sure how you could balance Strike the Bargain! at 1-mana. No one would ever allow for their cards to be discarded unless they were desperate: they would abuse it as a nearly-free hand reload after playing out their hand. You don't have to be a Miracle deck, either; you could vomit your hand as an Aggro Rogue, Quest Rogue, etc. and still come out on top.
I like Avenging Stand the most: it's like Avenge but trading stats for keywords. I don't think the Priest needs another healing spell, and I've given my thoughts on Strike the Bargain!

First idea. What do you think?

I would say that this runs counter to the whole point of the Paladin's Hero Power. The only way to reliably take advantage of this card is to create one - and only one - Silver Hand Recruit, and buff him to high heaven. Otherwise, over the course of a regular game you're far more likely to resummon a vanilla Recruit, which is a big waste of time. On the other side of things, if you do follow this plan, a 1-mana 3/7 Taunt that summons a 2/6 Taunt on death is ridiculous (not to mention other buffs). Ultimately, it's either way too good or wasting a spot in your deck :/

Notes: Hunted will apply permanent stealth on a 1-drop. Broken? Probably. Mighty Leap! ignores taunts and allows a minion to attack twice. Drunk is fairly straightforward.

    Feedback appreciated

If Dire Frenzy did not exist, I would maybe be okay with Hunted. As it stands, you can create a 5/4 (or 8/7) minion with Lifesteal and Permastealth, which is crazy (I'm referring to Swamp Leech). 7 Health puts it out of range for basically all damage-based clears; you'd have to use something like Mass Dispel, Twisting Nether or a lucky Deadly Shot to deal with the problem.
I'd go with Drunk; that's a lot more amusing. You can use it as a control(ish) card, or supplement the funny Mayor Noggenfogger Warrior deck that tries to bypass Taunts and get around the Fool's Bane/Bladed Gauntlet rule about not-attacking heroes.

posted a message on Blizzard's bias class design needs to leave Hearthstone! NOW!

    Quote from Ashaf306 >>

They gave Hunters two dragons. And they don't even work like the other dragons. They have a completely new mechanic in place. At least be consistent with a tribe. All other freaking dragons and dragon synergy cards work with if "you are holding a dragon", here is this numbnuts, Carrion Drake works if a minion dies on the board on your turn. Whatever the hell happened to "holding a dragon?" Is this also oppressing the players in rank 25? That when it comes to Hunters you completely alter the theme of dragons that has been part of the game for 4+ years?

The other dragon is just because Blizzard simply isn't interested in Hunters. Because yawn Hunter. They did because they wanted to make a Hunter legendary and didn't want to repeat the boring beast theme that has been part of Hunters.

There's a lot to say about your verbose post, but I'm going to focus on the Dragon Hunter parts in particular. There are numerous Dragons that do not utilize the "if you're holding a Dragon" mechanic; this includes Primordial Drake, Hoarding Dragon, Scaled Nightmare and Dragonkin Sorcerer, to name but a few. Frankly, there are more Dragons who do not use that mechanic versus the number that do.
Secondly, making Carrion Drakes Dragons without tying them specifically to the "if you're holding a Dragon" effect allows these cards to see play outside of Dragon Hunter decks; an archetype which has only just come into existence. This could be seen as laying the foundation for future Dragon Hunter support: you can use the current Dragons freely, and then combine them with future Dragons to make a more realized Dragon Hunter deck. Or, you can combine Carrion Drakes with cards like Toxmonger and Vilebrood Skitterer to go in a Poisonous control direction, without being tied down by forced Dragon synergy.
Thirdly, it's quite probable that Emeriss is a Dragon - outside of the obvious flavor reasons - because Blizzard did not want an unfortunate combination of Emeriss and Kathrena Winterwisp to occur. They're both relatively new Legendaries, and pulling Emeriss would really suck; yeah he's an 8/8, but losing the Battlecry would be quite painful. Being a Dragon means you can run both without an issue, which might be intended.
Lastly, it's also quite probable that Blizzard is moving away from en masse Beast synergies - including making Carrion Drake and Emeriss Dragons - because it's been done to death. You even indirectly said as much. It's time for new Hunter ideas, including Spell Hunter and Dragon Hunter archetypes. I'm actually confused as-to why you're not celebrating these design decisions; not because I'm some slave to Blizzard but because they're actually new and different. Think of how many archetypes were supported in The Witchwood: Quest Hunters, Kathrena Hunters, Spell Hunters, and traditional Beast- and Face Hunters all received some love in one form or another. On top of this, Dragon Hunters and Odd/Even Hunter archetypes have been introduced and supported. That's a lot.
All-in-all, the past few expansions have been very good to the Hunter, and it amazes me that you can't see it. It's that or you willfully choose not to, which is also disappointing.

You guys can pack it in, 'cause I have the winner right here:

Actually I'm thinking about going with this:

It's Blessing of Might but in Secret form, a surprise counter-move when the opponent tries to clear out one of your minions. It pairs best with a Taunt, letting them punch-up in a way that wasn't expected. Would also go great with Paragon of Light.

posted a message on Is Al'Akir the Wind Lord a safe craft?

I own a copy of him, and until recently had Al'Akir in my Elemental Shaman deck in-part because I figured "hey, why not?" I also lack Kalimos, Primal Lord; arguably a much better Elemental in the 8-mana position. Regardless, I have since removed Al'Akir: he's just not enough, his cost is high, and he can be Discovered via Servant of Kalimos if desired like Kwakdizzle mentioned.

Safe craft? I guess you could say that, but there are far more, better Legendaries to consider instead.

posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition 7.15 - Final Poll

    snip

You and another poster - xOwleyex - were tied in upvotes and positioning, at 13/14. However, we only had 12 finalists this week, based on the number of total entries. You both find yourselves in an unfortunate situation, right on the edge of making it.
With the way our scoring system works, it's not always a given that the most total upvotes will equate to the highest score and thus make you a finalist. Being on Page 1, you are in the best position to be seen and thus garner more potential votes; this is why we partially weigh what page your card falls on, to counteract this "first come first served" advantage. While in a vacuum you both had the most votes out of everyone, it was not enough with respect to our scoring system; no one from Page 1 survived to the finals.

posted a message on Is Even Decks even a thing ?

You have to consider in what way you benefit from a 1-mana Hero Power. Some examples that come to my mind:

    • Paladins like it because they can flood the board with Silver Hand Recruits. They also get to keep Tirion Fordring, Sunkeeper Tarim, Call to Arms and other synergistic cards like Knife Juggler.
    • Hunters can slip cheap snipes in between Secrets and other control cards, to grind down their opponent. It's slower than the Odd Hunter variant, but less likely to run out of steam. As the game goes on, the 1-mana/2-damage Hero Power will outpace the 2-mana/3-damage Power in terms of efficiency. I play Even Hunter with Deathstalker Rexxar and a Kathrena Winterwisp setup, and am 7-0 in the matchup against Odd Hunters.
    • Handlocks can utilize a cheaper Hero Power to maximize their draw potential. The most important cards like Mountain Giant and Twilight Drake are Even-costed.
