I've been playing Hearthstone for the past 2 years, and no matter how stale or aggravating the meta was I always believed it would be fixed in the next expansion. And after everything's over I just don't enjoy heathstone anymore, but I need a game to replace it. What other games are fun to play?
If you don't enjoy it there's no shame in playing other things. Maybe it's a break, maybe it's permanent.
If you're looking for a card game, Eternal is one I've been encouraging people to try out and it's a nice break from Hearthstone-type mechanics. It's also got a f2p system that doesn't make me hate life, which is something very few games seemed to have accomplished.
If you want something a little different but still in the card game theme, Duelyst or Faeria are pretty good since they're kind of a mash up of a board-based game that uses deckbuilding. Their f2p feels super grindy but the gameplay itself is actually a lot of fun.
If you want something completely different, League of Legends or DOTA 2 are games that I think are accessible but have a steep skill cap so you're almost always learning something new or improving and they're f2p without being gross about it.
go for it. Just be sure to replace one with the other.

I tried to replace HS with Gwent and TES:L. Both are good games but it seems I kinda bored of card games atm. So I'm playing PoE now, it's like Diablo, but better. Kripp streamed it several times if you watch him. But it's ofc if you're PC player. Actually you could say what platform do you play and what genres do you like, to get more game ideas. From card games, I'd say Gwent.

I would never recommend someone to try league of legends. The community makes the game an unpleasant experience no matter what.
I haven't played in forever, but for a long time after they implemented the player-driven bans (you could review something like 5 cases a day for a little in-game currency and vote yay or nay on action being taken) the community got a lot better in regards to at least casual play. I'm sure rated play is just a toxic nightmare though, but that's how almost any online game is. Mostly I make the recommendation because MOBAs are one of those genres in general I think are great for casual or hardcore play.

Articles I suggest every player reads to improve at the game;
Magi: is kind of magic the gathering without cards you are a mage you charge up and build towards yyour abilities in the match but everything is rts and really fun
Magicmaker: what? i like magic, it has really cool graphics if youa re into the paper style and an amazingly deep magic system where you can create almsot any spell you can imagine
Torchlight 1&2: these are great games
Ziggurat: Roguelike fps with magic staves, and spells dubbing as weapons, and some actual weapons (thanks alchemy brand!)
Krosmaster: all of the games i've said are pay to have but Krosmaster is free to play is kind of a mini figurine battle where different figures do different things, you set-up a team with your figures beforehandand fight other players, you have acces to a free "arena" run per day and can unlock more figures from "packs, it's got some long queue times but the game is really fun.
some things i really like that are not on steam:
Yomi: it's a card game albeit a weird one, the decks are premade and fixed and of course balanced with this on mind, it mans you can't change cards in your deck no matter what, if you pick tauren then youg et tauren's deck, if you pick mad fire girl then you pick mad fire girl's deck, there's no f2p currency but there's a weekly free rotation, every character is perfectly capable of performing and it has the advantage that if you purchase a character you're literally purchasing all the cards for that character.
Transformice: this is some of those weird kill the time kind of things but it's really adictive, you are a mouse you want to get the cheese, there are player controlled shammans that must help all the mice to get the cheese and have all the abilities to make it , sometimes you get to be the shamman yourself :)
OCTGN: well this is a free tabletop simulator, you can find matches for all kind of tabletop games here (card games included, that's how i got to know the now dead Panini's dbz which is still a really fun game), so far i've played wiz-wars, cacao and temple runners in here, it's manual and seems clunky but if youa re willing to put some stuff aside it can be really damn fun.
Pokemon Reloaded: http://www111.zippyshare.com/v/mbqV95E9/file.html it's a Pokemon game which main feature is real time combat isntead of turn absed combat, it's unfortunately for amny completely in spanish but you could still enjoy the game.
If you want to try other blizzard game, overwatch and heroes of the storm are pretty good. Hots is the most casual and easy online game i have played in a long time (probably because i played dota 2 for like 2 years and dota 1 for another 2, and those games are 10 times harder), but that's not a bad thing, it's a lot less stressfull than dota, and games are shorter. Overwatch is not free but 40$ isn't that much for a game you only have to pay once, and gets updates almost every month.
@Tze and StCecil I looked up Eternal on Google Play and it looks promising. I would like to try it out but it seems the game is not yet officially released? Is it okay/safe to play it now?
Play chess! Despite the not having changed in thousands of years, it is still an exciting game with an ever shifting meta. Also, once you buy the game, you don't have to worry about updates or key pieces moving out of the standard rotation.

If youre sick of RNG and being salty most RPGs are really good. Good stories, single-player with ability to pause, ability to choose your own difficulty. Honestly they're pretty relaxing. I suggest the Witcher 3, Fallout series, and Elder Scrolls as a starting place.

Maybe you should add that PoE is Path of Exile 😀

Personally I still play and enjoy both games.
Bad players whine.
Good players adapt.

I agree with Tze
Eternal is the best CCG game imo.
its pretty much MTG...
i main Eternal and play Hearthstone for fun.
Nightblade Argent Lance Flame Imp
Argent Watchman Argent Squire Frost Giant
Aviana Hogger Snipe Sea Giant
These were all really helpful suggestions! Thanks everyone!
