Apparently Iksar AKA Dean Ayala, has confirmed on a Japanese interview that we will have a last balance patch before the next expansion comes out. In kinda hard to read because it is Japanese (https://beerbrick.com/2020/07/03/news-20200703/) but it talks about cards that reduce cost of other cards to zero are being a little problematic (the skull, dragon caster, Rogue´s galakrond , etc), about the randomness issue that cards like yogg saron puzzle box brings to pro play and zeph and alex who likely will get changed if they continue to be dominate post next expansion.
Finally, What do you think? what do you think could get changed next patch?
Personally thinking that warrior will get nerfed, i don't know how but is so strong that a nerf to some cards like skipper or battle rage is inevitable, for DH i still think Skull its too god for its cost so is likely that they change it and lastly i would personally like more buffs there a lot of shaman and especially paladin cards form last year that feel either to weak or directly "pack filler"
The Galakrond will change it to draw cost 1 instead of 0. Dragoncaster only works with spells cost 7 or less. Bad Luck Albatross will cost 3 again but with 3 attack if they want to ruin the highlander decks or they will raise one of mana to Zephrys the Great or Dragonqueen Alexstrasza or both.
I'm happy with the news that they are not going to print any more random generating cards

Well that was what I was referring to, my mistake in thinking that they would stop printing more.

They can nerf Risky Skipper but they shouldn't. That's the most important card for Warrior in standard at the moment. Too many of their other cards are enabled by this one pirate. If they nerf it then Warrior will crash, burn and crumble to ashes since it relies so much on this card. And then DH (who managed to shrug off the last nerf) will just dominate completely because Warrior is the only class that challenges it.
I hope they nerf Risky Skipper and Warmaul Challenger. I think they’re too good for their costs but I don’t think they touch Warrior right now. I don’t want them to kill the class though because I do use it on ladder.
I’m expecting a Warglaives nerf. They can make it a 3/3 or cost 6 instead of 5. Dragoncaster will be nerfed in some way, shape or form. The Galakrond for Rogue will probably be nerfed to draw x amount of cards and they cost one (1) mana. I don’t think they’ll nerf Heistbaron Togwaggle and the Galakrond. It’s probably one or the other. I don’t think DQ Alex needs a nerf right now, but Zeph should probably cost 3 instead of 2. Although if they truly want to dumpster highlander decks for the upcoming expansion we might see both these cards hit hard.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Risky Skipper. It has fair stats for a 1-drop and some interesting ability that you need a specific kind of deck in order to take advantage of. It is nowhere near being a broken card. I find that nerfing strong decks in general is a very stupid idea, if something should be nerfed it is specific cards that are way too broken. Take Highlander Hunter also for example, probably the best deck right now, but there is not a single card you can single out and say 'this is broken and needs to be nerfed.

A 1 mana card that can destroy the whole board and that benefits for pirate synergies is broken. It is the same story as the cleric. They should nerf the pirate to a 2/3 2 mana cost. As for Highlander Hunter, maybe at low levels because it is an easier deck, but Warrior and Demond Hunter are better if well-played. Also, the 6/5 dragon and Veranus are a bit broken, but I would just change their stats to 5/5 and 6/6 respectively. #nomoreonecostmeta

Yes but Enrage Warrior doesn't have any spells for board clear or even single target removal (a few lists run Execute but that's all). So Risky Skipper is the only tool they have to deal with an enemy board and that (1) requires some setup and (2) comes at the cost of also damaging your other minions. If Risky Skipper was a neutral card then it would still only find place in Enrage Warrior and no other decks, exactly because it is not a broken card but rather one with an interesting mechanic that you need to build your whole deck around. Veranus on the other hand would easily fit in any tempo deck of any class if it were available, because it is a generally OP card (although given that it is a legendary its power level is fine I think). Rotnest Drake is more deserving of a nerf indeed as it has premium stats + strong ability.
Warrior's Mercenary would be used at 1/2 in the deck, the one that should've been nerfed to x/2 was wrangler or skipper. Bully at 5/8 is actually fair. Corsair Cache should be the nerfed one in warrior up to 3-cost. This way with coin the 3-cost weapons are available t3, and bomb weapon is only available from t4. Judging by blizz's capabilities of giving a crap, only nerf would be sky raider to 1/1. I think skipper as 1/2 at 1 is ok, but cache is the prime target.
Other changes I'd bet on - DH weapon to 3/3 (the mechanuc itself is fine), all draw/change/add/this turn cost 0 should go to 1, and I do mean All as in every single f'ing card. PS that's not a nerf to togwaggle, that's a nerf to a treasure, so it's not dust oriented.
I'll keep saying this - Shadowstep to HoF already. It's the epitome of mana cheating. Not a nerf, I don't know of reasons why wild can't have it as is
Next expansion should have a neutral card that removes unoriginal card(s) shuffled into a deck - choose one: yours or opp's, like druid's, not a,BC, and certainly not a DR. Unoriginal to protect warlock quest (that should also take a hit from the wide nerf), while yes hitting tog's scheme. They can change the draw quest's amount to 18, so it's not fully nerfed.
If they had it in them, change shaman prime to 4/6.

I prefer much more they do what they do with priest buffing some classic cards instead destroying the classes with good classic set.
Mage, rogue and druid suffer massive nerfs in your core cards over the years, this way at times goes on, all classes will turn into paladin and shaman garbage classic set.

I agree on the principle itself, the whole classic needs rework or rotation. But, since we know blizz ain't gonna do it, and maybe in steps that would take at best let's say 2 years (due 4 months between expansions), shadowstep is the best enabler, I don't think it has any competition in classic.
Hell yes shaman needs rework and its OL cards need retuning first - e.g. aoe 3 cost, 2 dmg all enemies, OL 1 => reliable, fits others classes' aoe at that level, and combos with spell-discoverer. Paladin definitely should follow it.

I think this misses the point that Enrage warrior doesn't run spells for board clear or single-target removal because Risky Skipper is so good that they don't need to, rather than they don't have other options. Bladestorm and Brawl are pretty good spells, and without Skipper, Warrior would have reasonable removal tools they could use.
But I don't really think Risky Skipper is, in itself, a big problem. Wild Pyromancer for minions, playing it destroys your own minions that you're playing too. That does mean armor from Armorsmith, but you still have to invest a lot of resources. Playing Skipper and Armorsmith and a 3rd or even 4th minion can clear a board, but you've used up to 4 cards to do it. Individually weak cards, but it's still a lot of minions to commit.
So what is the problem? Ancharrr. Risky Skipper isn't nearly as good, if you can't tutor it up pretty easily. For a kicker, you can tutor out the Ancharrr :P . Almost all tutor effects in Hearthstone have been incredibly strong, and really should be a lot more rare.
If Ancharr was a 3-mana 2/3 weapon that added a random pirate to your hand, it probably never gets nerfed, and Risky Skipper probably is only just OK.

oh, and for battlegrounds, a nerf to hook tusk is obvius and maybe a buff sky captain would be nice
And yet not mention to the excessive card draw of Demon huntards, what a surprise...
My predictions:
The Galakrond will change it to draw cost 1 instead of 0. Dragoncaster only works with spells cost 7 or less.
Bad Luck Albatross will cost 3 again but with 3 attack if they want to ruin the highlander decks or they will raise one of mana to Zephrys the Great or Dragonqueen Alexstrasza or both.

I'd love to get my dust back for DQ Alex. Nerf her and Zeph please.

Change Dragonqueen so the dragons cost 1. You cant get that much of a highroll anymore on turn 9
Me? Gongaga.

Will they finally learn that making stuff cost 0, is actually just disgustingly strong and proceed to move away from such design?
