Is Lord Barov actually worth it?

I am thinking about crafting him but I have a few concerns:

It doesn't clear the board right away, so the next turn you get hit with all of the enemy minions unless you combo it with Sword and Board or Animated Broomstick..

But warrior and paladin don't have a very good card draw.

So why is everyone auto including them in every warrior and paladin deck?

    What am I missing here?

The Captain 1/3, Paladin’s tokens and the fact that both Paladin and Warrior have a decent amount of card Draw.

    Hey!

Totally agree. The whole randomness has become too much. Strong decks containing mostly discover cards are standard and they have a very big impact. With the latest Exp. also Warrior got their share. I mean it would be ok to make 1 class based on discover or random. Priest always been like this but with the newer cards just a bit too much. I guess Blizz just wants to balance everything with randomness so theres no OP deck and for players to include the randomness it must be strong. But its also frustrating to lose a game that you were winning because of one lucky powerplay.

    Just some examples:

    - Druid mostly winning on a Ysera that creates random Dragons? Very low skill.

    - Mage consists purely on discover and random spells. C'mon Prime casting Box of Yog?? Yog got nerfed back in the days because of too much random shenanigans.

    - Rogue pure random since the Galakrond decks

The only class that is pretty solid is Hunter which is also mostly used to beat all those random decks by beeing powerful and fast.

Sorry, but now Rogue is not that Random (as Galakron decks are less played), nor are Warrior, Hunter, Deamonhunter, Druid (yes, Ysera is a Random card, but almost the unique one), Warlock and Paladin. That is, RNG comes mainly from Mage and Priest (and the Chaman of the mission).

    Unless explicitly stated. /thread

Looks like a good hand. Going to be fun.

This doesn't happen every game, just let the mages have fun this expansion. Jeez.

Actually, I’m playing tempo mage a lot, and in many games I have a second or third evocation. Still, probably the best nerf is to add the condition to the Sorcerer’s Apprentice that the spells must cost at least 1.

I totally agree with you, particularly because the set of cards is usually so small and they are of hugher power level.

Even in ranked, I just don't care enough to play out that match. One of the appeals of Hearthstone is the fact that games are quick. If I wanted to waste an hour of my life to barely move up the ladder I would go play League of Legends instead.

Call this a salt thread if you will, but Blizzard is really the one suffering by having a class in the game that is so vehemently hated by a lot of the playerbase.

So yeah if you happen to queue up against me with Priest, enjoy your free star!

    EDIT: inb4 title type

What classes do you play? I only do that when I’m playing priest or some Control Warrior that can’t beat priest.

Card generator is a way to get cards, and that suffices for priest. In fact, it is the best thinking in taking the opponent to fatigue and might be more flexible that draw. As for Shaman, its problem is that many cards’ overload is overexpensive: when you add it to the cost card, you see that you pay too much cristal for an effect.

Why you are not able to understand that is part of Blizzard's decision in not giving card draw to shaman. Why is this so difficult to understand?

True. But it is also true the “allowing them to ramp up for a burst of power faster than other classes” is just false. I mean, many if the cards with overload are too expensive when we add the coast and the overload. For instance, 8 mana for 4 2/2 with rush or 2 mana for +1/+1 is too much...

    Quote from Tyk3 >>

***Not calling for a nerf*** but I would say that rogue secrets at the moment are as strong as mage secrets for 1 less mana. I think it is also dependant on how the class synergies uses them as to how much they should cost. Arcane Flakmage would be pretty OP with 2 mana secrets for example.

Their cost is right anyways. One summons a 3 mana cost card (a 2/3 poissonous); other draws you 2 cards (an Intellect), a third one increases the level of a monster by 3 (a 2 cost Shaman card), an the last one depends on the cards your opponent play. Considering that your opponent can play around them, 2 cost is fair. Maybe, a good question is if Mage spells should cost see more play.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Risky Skipper. It has fair stats for a 1-drop and some interesting ability that you need a specific kind of deck in order to take advantage of. It is nowhere near being a broken card. I find that nerfing strong decks in general is a very stupid idea, if something should be nerfed it is specific cards that are way too broken. Take Highlander Hunter also for example, probably the best deck right now, but there is not a single card you can single out and say 'this is broken and needs to be nerfed.

A 1 mana card that can destroy the whole board and that benefits for pirate synergies is broken. It is the same story as the cleric. They should nerf the pirate to a 2/3 2 mana cost.  As for Highlander Hunter, maybe at low levels because it is an easier deck, but Warrior and Demond Hunter are better if well-played. Also, the 6/5 dragon and Veranus are a bit broken,  but I would just change their stats to 5/5 and 6/6 respectively. #nomoreonecostmeta

    Quote from Bl0odFilPro >>

Invocation were nerfed because a one mana 2/1 with rush freeze an enemy is to over the top for a one cost card. Pack in my opinion is perfect as it is now. Why does Druid need any help right now? It has been one of the top classes for a while, it is good to see others be at the top for once. Besides it is not that bad, spell druid is alright. And nourish is alright, you probably think it is slow because you think about how bad it is compared to skull of guldaan. But Nourish is a classic card and seen good amounts of play for a while know even tho it was nerfed.

Actually, the Shaman cards were nerfed because of Spirit of the Frog, which allowed you to cycle the whole deck and the legendaries Electra Stormsurge  and Zentimo, which allowed the same spell to be played twice or three times, so there is no reason to reverse those nerfs.

So 1/1 that gives you dragon Queen Alex is ok?

A lot of discover effects that can be busted. But sure as hell playing rogue or warrior i wouldn't pick dragon queen as that only works for highlander decks

When you are a Rogue against control you cycle all deck, so it would be a very likely pick.

A nine mana card should  NOT put 20+ worth of mana on the board.

With regular Alex and with Maly you need a lot more cards to win the turn you play them. Often you don't even win that turn.

That is not a problem considering that there are cards that can deal with the whole board.
