Despite Wild having some problems with some specific mechanics, i have no interest in playing Standard classes and decks that are cyclically crippled on purpose, with Rotations.
I like to come up with solutions at their highest potential. Plus Even decks are a favorite of mine (and no, i am not talking of Shaman or Warlock).
To me, Standard feels like a crippled Formula 1 competition, where however, the rules force you to limit the power you get with the technology you have designed.
I’m one of the degenerates who disenchant all their wild cards. For me, it’s almost a ritual to say a final goodbye to cards by disenchanting them one by one. I’m cleaning up Marie Kondo style: those cards no longer spark joy for me, I’ve played with them too much for too long. Besides, I like the challenge that sometimes aries from not having wild cards and having to make a pure standard deck in a wild brawl for example. I simply have no interest in the many combos and powerful decks that exists in wild.
I am, however, excited by the return of wild cards in Arena!
Good luck keeping up with the cost of standard after the rotation. All the deck-defining, powerful cards are rotating out. You will probably need a lot of epics/legendaries which are considered niche/trash/bad right now to even play the mode competitively. Even if the card will be good in standard, it might be useless in wild. This will keep getting worse and worse with every next expansion. The only thing to make up for it to standard players is all the dust they can get from their wild cards. But replacing all your good cards for new, worse ones that cost as much while only getting back 1/4 of the value of your old cards doesn't seem like a good deal. Meanwhile, as a wild player, all i need to keep my wild decks good is the best cards from the new expansions, which are also useful in standard. I can still try to keep up with the standard meta with any spare dust i have. After all, i still get as much dust as anyone else playing as much as me, be it a standard or wild player. So all i'm losing out on is a 1/4 dust cost reduction for new cards every hearthstone year (and i also had to make a one time investment in the wild meta cards). That seems like a good deal for being able to play tens of crazy and powerful decks in a mode with a different meta.
With the release of the first expansion of the year it is always a good time to play wild if you find yourself getting bored of the meta in standard a month or two after release.
With only 4/6 of the year’s full sets released it can feel quite ‘short’ of a few cards at times. Witchwood definitely had this feel and thus the high Baku/Genn frequency.
That being said, this will be one of the most fresh feeling meta’s in a while, with hopefully very new mechanics and some sleeper cards coming to light. Watch out for wild though, because quite often new cards can have some absolutely broken interactions with existing wild cards. Star Aligner Druid.
I rarely play wild, but Un'Goro is by far my favourite expansion. So I'll most definitely be trying it a lot more after the rotation.
If the new expansions theme can rival that of Un'Goro for me AND if it has any Reno cards, then I "might" stay back in standard a bit more. Will still keep all my cards especially my Elise the Trailblazer.
FUCK Genn and Baku, would have preferred they nerf the cards into the ground rather than just bandaid and make it wilds problem... AGAIN!
I already play wild, but I'm probably going to be playing more standard than I do currently because I'm excited to play a gamemode without death knights, Baku and Genn.
I didn't start playing until a few weeks before Kobolds and Catacombs so I didn't have any old cards. I DE'd everything I did get pre-witchwood just to make enough cards for standard. For me to even think about wild now Blizzard would have to give me a wild set to play with as I would never invest more money just to craft old cards. For that reason once year of the dragon hits I'll DE all the cards that are not in standard anymore so I have a full set of standard cards. I think a lot of people that were not playing right from the start must do that too.
I dread to think how much money it would cost to create a decent wild collection. I wouldn't like to create just one deck.
Wild only here ... Standard is an awful cashgrab and it makes you lose the stuff that you have earned/bought
There is litteraly a deck in wild that it game plan is cheating out epic/legendary minions.
I think wild is more of a cash grab than standart will ever be
That makes no sense whatsoever. Nearly every deck has multiple legendaries, be it standard or wild. Big priest only runs 5 minions so yeah, those minions are going to be ones with strong effects and thus epic/legendary. Cherry pick more will you?
Standard rotates out the majority of its cards every year, whereas wild gets to keep them all. What format indeed, would be the cash grab...

Trust me, it will come a day when you'll regret that so much. Keep commons and rares at least, and just disenchant the epics and legendaries that are complete garbage (I'd say keep also the ones currently garbage, but with some sort of potential... An example is Hadronox, bad at first, then it became very powerful with cube and the spell that summons a beast).
Anyway, even tho lately I played mainly wild, I will try again to play standard and see which decks rise... Then if the meta it's still boring / awful I'll move to wild once again. But for some reason I'm very optimist about HS's future.

No I've already played last 3 seasons only wild I'll go back to standard once dk rexxar rotates.
Dont disenchant your Wild-bound cards it is a bad idea
I already play Wild and i will keep doing so.

So Wild it is for me.
Wild could be a perfect place right now, all they need to do is nerf barnes
I play only wild, but maybe after rotation i will try some standard :)
Wild is stupid, I usually only play it when I need to farm quests quickly
Is there any reason beside tournament players/wannabe to not play wild? Wild Is the real Hearthstone afterall

In my case I will play more of the standard after rotation... :)
Where shall I start...

Im too poor to keep wild collection. I hate some cards from the past and i dont want face them over and over again.
Right after rotation standard would be so fresh and new that's funny someome prefers Wild.
I already play wild, but I'm probably going to be playing more standard than I do currently because I'm excited to play a gamemode without death knights, Baku and Genn.
there should be a "I played wild but will play standard" option
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
