Stuff like Naga, Ogre, Human, Giant, etc. I think are too minor add. That said I do expect Undead at some point, and honestly I'm kind of surprised they haven't added them by now.
Of course, "Pirate" is also a type, so I can see them possibly adding something new and different in the future, something thematically strong and standalone. I still wouldn't expect say Tauren though.
While there are plenty of potential minion types to add from Warcraft lore, even basic ones like orc, human, ogre, knight, blood elf and night elf, I think it is highly unlikely that they add another one. Hint #1: This has the 8 existing minion types printed, and I don't think they plan on changing the card to fit even more.
Hint #2: Each minion type should have their niche in the game, but they are already stepping on eachothers toes. Mech, Beast, Murloc, Totem and Pirate all have swarm/buff synergies. Elemental has "if you played an elemental last turn" and dragon has "if you are holding a dragon" as their unique twists, but there is nothing wrong with adding even more special synergies to existing minion types, beast recruits is a recent example of this. It should be more about clean game design that what makes sense lorewise, 8 types is plenty imo.
Hint #3 Cards with keywords like battlecry, deathrattle, rush, spell damage, discard and lifesteal are aslo treated like tribes in many ways.
A new type needs to be added for a very good reason and fill out a niche which can not be covered by the types and keywords in the game already.
I doubt they will ever add Undead, considering Naxx and KFT didn't bring them. Traditionally, undeads have been given strong Deathrattle effects, so they're kind of a tribe already.
Also, it brings inconsistencies. Would Sindragosa or Bone Drake be Dragons or Undeads? You could argue this already happens with Patches the Pirate (who is a Pirate, but also a Demon), but the Undead tribe would bring a lot of these cases.
My bet for a new tribe would've been Plant, but it given BDP and RR had Treant synergies, it would be very weird to have both at the same time.
It's always possible, wow's universe is really rich to exploit, they can also pull a Pokemon tcg and start classifying multiple types ina single category like they do for the fighting type in the tcg(whihc inlcudes, rock types, ground types and figting types ofc) because technically the Power of the Horde card that lets you summon a random horde warrior and that includes Taurens and orcs, so eventually all non-tribed orcs and taurens would end as horde warriors tag, all non-tribe undead would end up as the scourge tag and bunch of untribed gnomes, humans and dwarves would end up as the alliance tag, or they could go by the numerous wwow subfactions that players farm rep for.
druid and hunter have beast, priest has dragons, rogue has pirates, paladin has silverhandrecruits, shaman has totems and elementals, warlock has demons, mage has elementals, warrior right now ? give us the orc tribe - it would be such a cool tribe =D

They would probably just go with more of these guys...

I do not think that it is too hard to change card text. "Nightmare Amalgam has all creature types" or something like this.
I don't think they even need to add any new tribes to the Amalgam in fairness. It doesn't HAVE to be EVERYTHING... :-) They can pretty much ignore this card without too much problem
I think Undeads have already been featured as a minion type. I don't remember precisely but I'm certain there was a brawl that had a prebuilt deck card or hero power that summons (or resummons?) random undeads. Kel'Thuzad may have been involved as a playable hero that brawl
Hey,
Since Un'Goro added the Elemental minion type. Is it plausible that next expansion brings add a new minion type ? Ogre or Naga for example ?
Thoughts on this ? Ideas ?

I still can not understand why Patches the Pirate is not a demon and a pirate at the same time.

Deathrattle covers a lot of undead and it's sort of considered the undead type.
I'd say adding in a new minion type is the easiest thing to add into the game. It's just a matter of adding text onto the bottom of the card.

i dont think so because there would be so many cards at this point that would have to become undead, it would be so hard to balance.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.

Yes there will be ninja's next expansion. Finally!!!!
