"waaaah, I wanna play fun decks but I also wanna win all the time"
Newsflash, fun decks aren't about the wins. If they were, they'd be meta. Either accept a series of losses for that one sweet time where you actually pull your ludicrous combo off or just play Meta decks an farm wins.
I'm currently mopping the floor with Pally and Cubelock alike by playing Hadronox.Cube Druid (yes, it actually works now). So basically I'm beating the meta while still having fun with a relatively unknown archetype (let'S see how long it lasts)
"try to play cubelock OTK and the level of aggression is too high!"
If you play cubelock you have 0 right to complain about meta decks lol. Especially in casual. Leave casual for new and free to play players.... If I ever play casual, I use horrible decks like "play 20 enrage minions and try to complete the quest in 1 game". Makes it fun for the little guys. And if you disenchanted all of your cards to craft cube-lock, and can't play anything else, then tough luck dude. That's why you don't dust stuff.
I've been saying this for a long time and I'll say it again: people who play competitive decks in casual, are even bigger scrubs than people who complain about competitive decks in ranked. Casual exists so non competitive players can have fun with the game, and if you bring a competitive deck there(either to do daily quests or just to bully people for the sake of being a jerk) you are implicitly admitting that you wouldn't be able to do so against an actual competitive field. You can come up with whatever excuses you want, but in reality it all boils down to that.

he said cube clock. He means Clockwork Automaton and Cube + Play Dead for multiplying the Hunter Hero Power, which is a fun, but obviously very inefficient deck.
competitive netdecks being played in casual isn't the fault of WW, it's a fault of the players.
I think that the problem is just how people are just missing the point of Hearthstone, which is to build your own decks and change them based on how they do against other decks. People who netdeck just miss that entire facer of Hearthstone. It's kind of sad how people will just ignore one of the best parts of Hearthstone simply to get free ranks.
Has nothing to do with the expansion, the matter of fact is just that most of us HS players are degenrates that want to win because it releases our daily happy-trigger that we're all adicted to :3
Playing casual is the same as ladder, if not even worse. I built a tess rogue that's so much fun to play and had one of the most memorable games of hearthstone with it. But even casual is a shit show of warlock and pally. They need a mode that bands deck lists that are 75% of the meta decks for variety.
There is no room to play "fun" decks in casual. Tryharders everywhere. Im legend level 60 with hunter, try to play Cube Clock OTK and the level of aggression is so high. So what is the point? I don't have other option... i'll play baku paladin or Cubelock or stop to play HS. No fun allowed... worse expansion ever.
Just so we are clear let me get this straight. You are blaming witchwood because people are playing Aggro paladin and cubelock. Do I hear you correctly. So not the expansions where those archetypes were actually created?

absolutely. People will give every excuse possible to defend themselves. Casual is where to try a Quest Druid (which is like tier 2000 (exaggeration)) or a Lockdown Priest (Mana Wraith Priest, only in Wild, but you get the idea) yet you see tier 1 decks roaming around it.
I don't care if you are testing the deck, test it in ranked and see how good it is against the meta. Please...
"try to play cubelock OTK and the level of aggression is too high!"

actually, show me this CubeClock thingy. Have never seen it before
I'm less disappointed with the expansion by itself, and more frustrated by the fact that I'm seeing the same decks from last expansion.
Cubelock, yep, still there.
Spiteful priest, yep, still there.
Kingsbane rogue, yep, still there.
I'm sure as soon as someone figures out how to Exodia Mage without Ice Block that'll make a whopping comeback, too (applebaum heals probably).
I mean, we all knew those decks weren't losing enough cards in the rotation to reduce their frequency on the ladder, but even so. It's BORING. Shouldn't a new expansion AND a rotation shake things up? Because... it really didn't, except for the first few days. A few days in, it might as well be last month. This meta was already stale 2 months ago, and now it looks like at least 3 more months of the same thing.
Seems like an "it's that time of the expansion" thread. I would say I dig.this one actually and appreciate how blizzard managed to innovative and tune down powet creep at the same time.
There is more variance at legend rank for sure. But everything is still a meta, "optimized" deck.
This expansion is okay. For me, the worst expansion was K&C (took a short month break to play ESL between December and January, came back and somehow got legend lol).
Cubelocks are still the worst thing to play in the game. Thankfully with the loss of N'zoth other decks can try to break through their taunts, but playing against them is just incredibly boring. Until that's changed/nerfed I doubt your opinion will change much. No sense making a thread about it.

I'm gonna say this now. Team 5 cannot nerf things to the ground commonly to make them unusable because some people do enjoy the decks that are used.
I still love Spiteful Priest. I love playing Baku Hunter (not the fact that it is an aggro deck). I love playing Quest Druid. There are so many decks that I enjoy playing, but people want them nerfed because of their common appearance on the ladder, which is sad.
Also, regarding Cubelock, the only nerf I can see being positive is to that 5 mana 2-2 that summons a demon when it dies. If they changed it to "recruit" from "summon", it would be a easier matchup in a way.
First, wtf is "legend level 60 with hunter"? Is the guy playing at rank 60 legend, or does he have a level 60 hunter and he plays him in legend or is he just calling his level 60 hunter 'legend' because of the ego? Guess we'll never find out.
But yeah, as a lot of people said high legend ranks are not the exact places to have fun at. People are aiming for high results and some of them picked playing Hearthstone professionally as their career path. You won't complain about a professional dog breeder trying to make sure his dog is perfect so he can win a competition to which you brought your dog that jumped in few puddles beforehand, not for competitive reasons, but just to have fun, right?
So, why not discover other playmodes (casual, arena, wild)? Or maybe create a new account and try to have fun devising a free to play deck and try to hit a high rank with it? Or maybe do heroic modes of adventures, or dungeon runs? Or maybe try to use imagination and build an interesting deck? At the very least you have other games and many of the substitutes like Gwent or Shadoverse or Artifact that will be coming soon.
But, yeah, the best thing to spend your time doing is to come to the website and whine how 'this expansion is the worst ever' even though it's only been 5 days since the release. I pity you and all people with this mindset. Hopefully, you'll grow up someday.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
i feel you bro.. the community ruins the game which could be so good....

I'm having lot of fun (and success) with Elemental/Hagatha Shaman and Cube Druid. Don't me narrow-minded.
Two more years of baku paladin cancer. Nice rotation blizzard. I'd rather play vs old pirate warriors than vs this flood board every turn bs.
Has nothing to do with the expansion, the matter of fact is just that most of us HS players are degenrates that want to win because it releases our daily happy-trigger that we're all adicted to :3
Here we go again. Not even a week into the expac and already the crying of worst expac ever.
Happens EVERY expac.
