Lately I have started to play with the assumption: "My opponent will have the best possible card on the exact turn they need it", and my fucking god. It happens all the fucking time. And I can't even draw one of the cards I need and end up with clunky starting hands.
Odd-Paladin will have the +2/+2 for their recruits. Cubelock will have lackey followed up by Cube+Darkpact Spiteful will have their spiteful summoner on t5 tempo rogues will have vilespine slayer to remove relevant targets.
It's driving me nuts.
E.g. latest hand on t5 as tempo Rogue: No board, hand: 2x shadow step, 2x backstab, 1x cold blood and 1x vilespine. Yes. the. fucking. tempo
Ugh, the only good deck I can make with my collection is spiteful druid, but that is boring as shit. I'm at rank 4 5 stars right now, so I can easily make the push to legend, but I'm not willing to do it with boring spiteful shit. Not having a good collection sucks.
Hearthstone experience in a nutshell when you are playing an off meta deck:
step 1) build a deck to target slow decks
step 2) play a couple games, kick all the taunt druids' and control warlocks' asses, go on a big winstreak
step 3) see nothing but aggro from then on until your winrate gets below 50%.
People always talk about adapting to the meta, but how do you adapt to blizzard countering your attempt to counter the meta you are seeing? When they determine which meta you see and just flip a switch when you start doing too well it's kind of impossible to adapt in the long term.
Cubelocks with no wild cards playing wild deserves only painful death nothing more( IN the fucking real life ) what a pussy player must be to play standart cancerous control deck in wild where we have a good times playing all of rotated decks , there is such a beautiful variety and number of decks to play and no NO NOOOO you stupid motherfucker playing cubelocks in wild go fuck yourself , i hope some gangup mill rogue will burn all your collection. idiots.
I really don't understand the people who do this. I think they think it's easier in wild since there are less players but that's just kind of pathetic and speaks to the quality of the player, plus it's not really even true considering some of the super strong wild decks that are out there.
Just played against a cubelock, had him on the ropes, hagatha in play, got through the wall of taunts with spellstoned giants, got a damaged but viable earth elemental, and he has about six cards left in his hand with fatigue approaching, nothing on the board. He plays out skull, next turn doomguard spits out, plays umbra, cubes and dark pacts. I draw my weapon tech the turn after and it's GG. I am so sick of losing to this stupid deck on the basis of that idiotic weapon. I have to manage overload, he gets to play a 5/7 charge and still have 10 Mana to execute combos.
Sure, cube-lock is OP. Whenever I play against them anyway. Whenever I play with it everyone has the perfect counters. Taunt druids, spiteful priests (not enough removal by turn 5/6) and ofcourse everyone has Harrison (or Ooze) in hand whenever I'm lucky enough to have my weapon by turn 5 (and all the demons in hand ofcourse). FML. Why is it that everyone is having more luck with decks than I do? For once I wish I'd face a cube-lock as unlucky as I am in every game.
Start streaming, friend. Once you get even a handful of regular viewers the wins will start coming your way. Only the people publicly promoting the game get good luck. The rest of us are just banging our heads against the wall.
Cubelock has ruined the game. It is just a disgusting deck that should not exist. And it has forced other classes to adapt to it in the worst ways. The ability to cheat out voidlords and heal for insane amounts is some of the worst game design I've experienced. It's like they wanted to turn Warlock into something it was never meant to be, ignoring all the drawbacks associated with its hero power in particular.

Good God Blizzard, please do something.
Exactly. Warlock is not a healing class, it doesn't fit at all. Their "dark pacts" are supposed to have a good result (cheating out a giant minion) with a much worse result for the warlock, not "cheat out a giant minion and by the way we're throwing in this enormous heal for free". That demon would get fired from the soul acquisition squad on his first day offering deals like that.
People always say "well there are counters" but the counters are not fun to play and both cubelock and its counters prevent certain archetypes from ever being viable, which is bullshit.
FUCK YOU YOU PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT FUCK FUCK FUCK YOU FUCK THIS FUCKING FUCK AGGRO FUCKING NOOB FUCKING LUCK FUCKING VOMIT GO FUCKING KILL YOURSELF YOU RETARDED FUCKS
I was just playing my first game EVER as a cubelock because i just wanted to try that brainless piece of shit deck. was matched against quest rogue (for the first time since WW came out, never faced them before *hmmm strange...*) and had the shittiest draw ive ever seen from a cubelock...

Cubelocks deserve to be matched against quest rogue all day long
Oh, really funny spiteful summoner. Turn 5 coin + that piece of shit into emeriss. Meteor and trade. Turn 9 he plays the second fuckin' summoner, i think "Well, i still have a meteor in hand and after that i could play doomayer in order to finish the game with frost lich jaina on turn 10 and a clear board". That's what i thought, before summoner summoned Tyrantus... 6 MANA 16/16 CAN T BE TARGET BY SPELLS OR HERO POWER WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? R U SERIOUS BLIZZARD? IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO? 6 MANA 16/16s????? WHY NOT MAKING A 1 MANA 30/30 CHARGE???

Must be so fun playing against me, always top deck leathal, always on curver, always god hand.
So. Many. Damn. Paladins. Odd, even, all of them.

I played spreading plague the turn after and he conceded.
He added me to fill my chat of u know what.
