Rogues don't usually play things on curve anyway. When have you ever seen a rogue play one card in a turn? When have you ever seen a rogue stress out about activating combo? The class is filled with cheap spells. Rogues always run draw mechanics. Even if you play this on turn 7 it's good because you spent 2 mana sapping something, or spent 1 mana oiling up your dagger, or prepping something out; idk.
Also, has anyone noticed how many low-attack, high-health minions we've been seeing out of this expansion? This expansion may create a "wall meta" where people figure out how to optimize Defender of Argus and Sunfury Protector beyond watcher druid and handlock.

The high health is pretty much needed for inspire cards. Which I am for. A wall meta would make priest soooooooo good.
Does combos work battlecries or does this mean that if you play this alone on turn 5 and on turn 6 i play something this will be get buffed?
Como means you have to play another card before this one that same turn. So If I play Shado Pan first then play something else this doesn't get a buff. But if I play something else first then play Shado Pan it'll get the buff. it won't get the buff on any turns after it's played.
In terms of constructed, there's no way to tell if this card is going to find a home at this point. We will just have to wait and see.
Though in arena, I'd say this is a going to be a top rouge card. 3/7 stats is essentially like Druid of the Claw worth of stats for the same mana cost, but has the potential to outclass basically every other 5 drop. And since high health on minions is valued pretty high in arena, this card will either 2 for 1 or force out hard removal right away. Not to mention it doesn't die to Fireball without the use of the hero power.
All in all, I'm really happy about this card. Most of the Rouge minions are either terrible stat wise or far too situational. It's nice that they added a Rouge creature that isn't terrible if you don't combo it.
WTF Guys. You can play this at turn 9 very well. Some people discuss playing this on turn 5 only. Why turn 5? Turn 9: Preperation + Sprint + Shado-Pan Cavalry. 9 mana 6/7 draw 4 cards. And you tell me that this card hasn't got potential? This card is awesome in rogue, because it's a class with a lot of cheap valuable spells and a Control Rogue is not far away. Maybe finally we can give some use to Trade Prince Gallywix.
You can play this amazing combo in turn 10 , even before the next expansion, with the amazing Boulderfist Ogre!. Those stats, OMG, so broken. /sarcasm
Seriously man, a card with only those stats on turn 9 or 10 doens't change nothing, it has to do something to be good.
Best scenario is turn 4 Coin him out (which is just turn4 innervate boulderfist), then maybe you can try to play one poison blade with this guy in ur deck and pray lol.
It's like an Edwin Vancleef but for 2 extra mana, you are guanrateed 7 health. If you play a card and then shadopan, he's 5-mana 6/7 which is not bad at all, but if you try to overdo it by playing 2 or more cards, he becomes a BGH target. I think he'll be perfect in tempo rogue, which might actually be a viable deck again after the next expansion because of this card and hopefully a few others.

It doesn't get more attack with more combo pieces... It's just either 3/7 or 6/7.
Oh, I just realized that now. Thanx man. He's actually a pretty good card then now that I think about it.
Seems like a good card. We'll see if it'll survive play-testing. I do hope control rogue will be a thing again... my Trade Prince Gallywix has a thirst for battle... and gold of course !
I'm guessing the reveal of Anub'Arak tomorrow will show us how bad they want to reintroduce this - heavenly - type of deck back in the meta.
With the introduction of Burgle and this card, I think a more minion based Rogue is entirely possible as they don't have to rely on Prep + Sprint for card draw any more
I am just imagining a turn 5 preparation, this card, tinker's or a turn 4 preparation, this card, the coin, tinker's... Holy tempo shift. Oil rogue might see a lot of more play
EDIT: Oops I thought it was a 4 cost... but regardless

Erm... you need to play rogue at least once, my friend...

Coin it out, OpOpOp
Backstab, deadly poison synergy. Love it. Also prep + sap etc...
This card can be useful in my semi-viable midrange rogue. An ogre for 5 mana is not a bad deal.
But much more cheaper though
My control rogue is pleased.

Fingers crossed boys...

Pog to the Champ to the one-two-Kappa.
Well burglar Increases this card's playability a little.
Not by much... but a little.
Lol at the people who said it would see play.
My legendary count excluding adventure legendaries, dupes and old murk eye: 40

I don't think een if it was just a 6/7 for 5 it would see play nothing too special about it to see play..
good pick in arena though.
