We need this kind of card for a type of deck like that to be possible.
It is a pretty powerful minion that can be played on curve, which powers your other combo cards up.
Completely agree, Rouge needs more minions that are good in itself, while we also need more cards to combo with, we have backstab and prep, but most of the time those are not played on turn 1-2 sso the 2 drops from rouge are just to bad because you cant activate the combo.
This card has given me the most excitement out of all the tgt cards. In the past, paying lots of mana for a pile of stats hasn't turned out to be good in constructed, but I really hope this is good. If it is, it would probably spawn a more minion midrangy rogue deck which would probably just be my favorite deck cause i love the rogue class and I love the midrange playstyle. I do agree this probably wouldnt make the cut in oil rogue.
In any case, this card is just so cool. So pumped.
I don't see a reason for all the moaning. A potential turn 4 Boulderfist is pretty good stuff. Will be an amazing Arena card, and I think should see some play in constructed for the sheer value.

I am not saying its a bad card....but its not a great card either.
Its typical imo and likely wont be played much because of the fact that boulderfist is almost if not just as good most of the time and that combing a 5 mana minion for +3 attack is more trouble than its worth most of the time to get it out on turn 5.
If this card isnt comboed out on turn 4/5 boulderfist would have likely been a better play.
People so far are only looking at it's viability with the coin, but what if you aren't going 2nd (already reduces viability to 50% of the time)? Then you must rely on prep or backstab. This makes it very situational. Also, going second you will almost always coin out si7 agent. Expecting to be able to use the coin for this card is not that realistic.
It might see play in oil rogue because it has a high hp so you can use your oil and have it survive. I am uncertain but.

Its a mistake to look at a card and to ask yourself the question if it fits only to a current deck type. It can be, but more important is the question if a new deck type could arise due to this card. The Shadopan Cavalry is definetly a card with such potential. It is not "the" card who could lead to a controllish type of rogue deck, but he is surely an element for it. The same as Steamwheedle Sniper. He aslo was not the reason for a conrol hunte rto arise, but when it arise it´ll have a part in the deck.
Interesting! May bait out a silence which could prove useful. Wish it would have been a pirate though
Bait silence for what? Current archetype which is Oil Rogue dont really even have silence targets, unless if you count shredders which is similar in silence value to this card anyway.
Why would you use this in Oil?
Some people are interested in climbing ladder i guess. What you run Ysera in your rogue decks?
The decks I create are my own, I do not netdeck. I prefer thinking outside the box instead of stealing other peoples' decks. So, when the expansion hits I might try a control rogue with this for example, it should fit in well there and would be prime silence-bait.
Really? You're playing the net decking are for losers angle? People have been using pre made deck archetypes since early MTG days. Also, we are discussing the viability of this card right? Viability means implementing it into current archetypes.
Also, you can make any crap control rogue want, doesn't make your initial comment about baiting silence any more ridiculous. Theres just so much wrong in that sentence.

Wait, so, can this be silenced? This isn't a battlecry, and it doesn't say "Has +3 Attack" like an active effect. I'm assuming it can, but I don't think we've seen a card with text like this.
This isn't gonna see play as long as a minion based rogue doesn't exist.
Ogre Ninja is an above average card that doesn't see play along with Trade Prince Gallywix.

Hmm coinable Boulderfist Ogre on turn 4. Good job blizzard! xD
FTFY
How often do you think you are going to be able to coin this out?
I know it's a mediocre card, but I like it, that's all. In arena at least it could be awesome.

Pretty decent in arena. Don't think it will see play in constructed - great stats, but just vanilla.
well aren't you also basing your assumption on one card?

I know that newer players probably never heard of this class before, but,do you even know what shaman is?
~15% of all games (napkin maths, probably wrong)

Legend Rogue, druid when lazy
feels like blizz don't understand the main troubles rogue players face, that's why they keep giving us these ambushers, ogre ninjas etc
Quoted thrice for emphasis.
