Obviously this card is for a slower more midrange focused zoo deck. Hold it for a while, play it and grim rally on the same turn (board of 6 2/2s for 4 mana isn't bad). Also A LOT of AoE effects are cycling out. Dragon's Breath, Duskbreaker, Volcano, etc. etc. so this card might have more traction than it appears to.
One of the issues with Hi'reek decks as an example is there's just not enough efficient ways to fill the board up. This is a lot better than Fiendish Circle in a lot of respects. So more akin to a token druid deck than current zoo lock. We'll see if they give it enough other tools to help that deck along.
I think it is weak on purpose, if you draw this and you have a bad hand, Just use Rafaam and make it a legendary.
This is true as well. Another issue with Hi'reek handbuff decks is if you draw Hi'reek late it's a super weak card. Rafaam lets you transform it into something useful.

I already see how it will go for me: topdeck Rafaam's scheme on turn 10, plays Rafaam to transform it into something useful, gets Hi'reek...
People are forgetting that Forbidden Ritual saw a lot of play in Zoolock, this card is almost the same card. Yes, it's not good if you Topdeck it, but I think it'll definitely see play in aggro Warlock.
I mean, we needed more fodder for Spirit of the Bat, so this works nicely.
I dont know why people are so aggressive about this, it's obviously not intended to be played turn 3 (we have Doubling Imp for that). Just keep it in your hand until it reaches an appropriate level then play it for on-demand board. We don't need board buffs, we have that big Troll Sapper guy that straight up kills your opponent if tokens die, and we have hir'eek who can get big enough to just be unable to be removed.
Forbidden Ritual was played aat the start of WoG and eventually stopped seeing play as better things came along. Right now we're at the start of an expansion so why not play this?
This card might be used to buff Hir'eek, the Bat . 2 Soul Infusion and 2 Arena Fanatic already buffs Hir'eek to 7/7. The problem is when Hir'eek is one of the last cards in the deck. Unless Blizzard prints a card that draws legendaries / beasts from your deck for warlock, this card won't be viable.
Unless Warlock gets more demon synergy Imps will never work, they don't even fit into an aggro or zoo deck because of thier low stats and lack of abilities.

Yes. It is not good if you topdeck it. And zoo is a deck that plays more topdecks than any other deck. Emptying your hand on turn 4, getting 1 drop on turn 5 and tapping into this is a game over. It won't see play in zoo*. It just don't fit what zoo does.
This is just terrible. It literally must stay in your starting hand to not be useless by the time you get enough mana to play it. At most, it only summons 7 imps (so late in the game that it does not matter), while all the other schemes so far seem to go into infinity.
At least when you topdeck Hagatha's Scheme, you can let it grow because board clears are usually important enough all game long. Togwaggle's Scheme can be played on a single minion and be okay for 1 mana in a desperate moment. But this costs 3 mana and is meant to be played in aggro. It's terrible to topdeck, and probably not threatening enough to keep in your starting hand. I can only see this working if Crystalweaver somehow makes a comeback.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
Stinky card, a bunch of 1/1s is not worth the time or slot investment (Forbidden Ritualwas only run because of Darkshire Councilman and was flexible in mana use.)
on draw its a 3 mana 1/1 (gross) wait a turn its a 3 mana 2 1/1(still bad worse than Lost in the Jungle with no synergy) on turn in hand its a 3 mana 3 1/1 (1 mana 1/1 value) ideally this is played on turn 3 and its not great (you can play Doubling Imp for 2 2/2s for the same cost) after that, it's just a strictly better Fiendish Circle, a dumpster tier card.
Honestly terrible, unless there's some other new cards that synergize heavily with 1/1s or demons. Even then, there's a comparable (arguably better) card, Fiendish Circle, with roughly the same effect that will still be in Standard.
Maybe there will be support for a Token Warlock archetype and you'll want to run both this and Fiendish Circle. But just based on what we know right now, this card is junk. Terrible topdeck, hast to sit in your hand for 4 turns to even approach reasonable valuable, and it reaches max value at 7 turns, unlike some of the other schemes which potentially scale infinitely.
Hard to say what will be playable in the new meta. It's a control card due to the long wait, but synergizes with Zoo-oriented cards like Demonbolt and Grim Rally. Also could work very well with Spirit of the Bat. Other cards too that involve sacrificing minions/demons, plus maybe some new cards. Lots of ways to get value out of it. We'll see If it's enough value, or or if the deck that runs these cards can wait that long.

Looks unplayble unless more cards are printed that support it.
Why even print this now or at all... Even in the same set as Hagatha's Scheme wich alone makes this useless...

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

5 mana knifethrower + 5 1/1

*unless we see insane imp synergies
It could see play if it was 5-6 mana with summoning 3/2 imps like Lakkari portal, but since imps are 1/1 this card is a +5 dust

Did you forget Grim Rally?
Always expect the unexpectable!

Dear blizzard, Why? sincerely warlocks who hoped to have a playable scheme and not a zoo based card set
Why blizzard keep giving us dust .....
You're looking it in isolation, if they printed a card in the same set that said, all demons get +2/+2 this turn.. or continuous +2/+1
They could also print, whenever you summon a demon do this.. all of sudden thats X demons you summoned. Dont judge things in isolation it's just silly
Most underwhelming card so far. Schemes aren't a super flexible concept, though, so a spell like this was inevitable.
