Let us know how the new build goes. It may be that DoD has just left Bomb Warrior in the dust. As you're testing it think about whether x2 Clockwork Goblin or x2 Hoard Pillager would be better.

If they direct nerf galakrond do you think theyll possibly offer a dust refund for kronx dragonhoof?

They never did anything similar in the past.

They just did with Echo cards and Glinda Crowskin.

What about the Galakrond that's just a touch less powerful than it needs to be to be successful?

posted a message on Descent of Dragons Meta Decks - The Best of the End of 2019

Nice diverse meta. The nerfs turned out to be masterful it seems, though Galakrond Shaman probably is better than its current representation. I'm actually enjoying this meta as much as any I can remember.

The balance is surprising considering the power levels. I think the high level leads to getting run over a bit, but then you'll run over opponents some, and there are still plenty of close games. All the while you're making big plays and feeling powerful...and there are several viable decks that feel powerful in very different ways.

Between a fast and slow meta I'll take fast, at least for now. Enough Control Warrior etc. Getting rolled by Pirate Warrior feels much better than getting your soul sucked out by Control Warrior.

I don't see any crying need for nerfs right now. The only thing that really sticks out like a sore thumb is how inferior Priest Galakrond is to other Galakronds. I really hope they will buff/rework this card. I think we all want to be able to do something viable with Priest that doesn't revolve around Quest/Rez, or Combo. We've been waiting a long time already and now for this Galakrond to flop like this is really disappointing. I hope they give us a round of buffs to underplayed cards and focus on Galakrond Priest above all.

True, Elekk is a pretty key card, especially now that Pillager gives you more chances to combo it. And yeah Holy Wrath Paladins should just concede against this. Not sure how prevalent they are. Hopefully you can find a way against aggro often enough.

Kinda fun deck that actually feels really novel to me right now. Shuffling bombs cancels highlander cards which is relevant. With all the highlander decks right now Bomb Warrior could do well actually. This list however is way too greedy and will get rolled by aggro.

This is Warrior though so just add some survivability. Take out Devestators, Assemblies, 1 Elekk, and 1 Town Crier and add x2 Shield Block, x2 Armor Smith, and x2 Shield Slam.

posted a message on Why priest is not good in this meta

There may be no way to make Galakrond Priest not terrible. I'm working on it. In my deck I have no neutral invokers. You don't need this Galakrond to get to its best battlecry and you don't want to invoke more than you have to. Four is enough to get you two invokes usually in time for the 4 mana dragon or Galakrond. Once you play Galakrond you can use his hero power for value (memes). Lots of board clears and some heals in the deck. Seems like a bit of progress.

posted a message on Blizzard is doing band-aid fixes because adventure will have 35 new cards.

If Team 5 is looking for patterns in Hearthstone's history there are plenty to learn from. I do hope they are trying to learn from our experience. One pattern is the whole community hating the existence of high roll decks but still playing them because they're good. Keleseth is the prime example.

Late game combo decks like OTK Pally and Mecathun are not quite as annoying because you at least have to respect them being able to play the deck right and survive to the end. They keep control in check, though less greedy control decks have a chance, and are weak to aggro.

But a deck like this gives control no chance. It's basically high roll Quest Rogue on steroids. It will warp the meta to hyper aggro.

We do want to rein in stuff like KnC Control/Cube Warlock or recent Control Warrior...but control should be allowed to thrive. Control decks are where most of the crazy fun stuff in Hearthstone happens.

Basically we want Team 5 to strive toward perfect parity between control, combo, and aggro, and react swiftly to meta warpers.

This can't be accomplished without refining from both directions though. They need to learn that Priest needs a buff right now just as much as Shaman needed a nerf. The worst problem in this game after overpowered cards is underpowered cards...because they're dead. They don't get used and this leads to us seeing only a small percentage of standard cards being played, more so further into an expansion. This leads to a stale meta and boredom. They should do something like Rise of the Mechs every expansion. And the more they do it the better they'll get at it.

As for nerfing Deathrattle Rogue I think the ideal solution is to nerf or HOF Warbringer, not Apothecary. It's Warbringer that makes the deck crazy. If Apothecary was summoning 7/7s or what have you instead of mega handbuffing the card wouldn't be broken and Rogue could still have a fun, powerful deck.

posted a message on Which deck stomps deathrattle rogue?

If Face Hunter and Deathrattle Rogue are the top two threats there's got to be a Control Priest list that owns them both. Quest Priest outheals Face Hunter and can potentially handle Rogue with Mass Dispel, Silence, and Plague of Death. Also potential to steal and kill Apothecary same turn.

Unfortunately they don't have a track record of following up if it's not enough or if additional nerfs are needed. Regardless of what happens from here these are probably the last nerfs of this expansion. Which is bad because more will be needed, and buffs ideally. But I don't think they've ever made two balance passes in one expansion before.

The deck is toxic. Rolls over you or gets rolled over. You finish them early or there's nothing you can do. Super encourages simplistic aggro. Super discourages interesting control/combo decks. It will make for a boring and frustrating meta. It needs to be nerfed hard in this patch.

Best thing would be to HOF Anubisath Warbringer immediately. That solves it. It would still be a good deck without that but would use the deathrattle copies/activators to generate value mostly (Whelp, etc), not insane, insurmountable stats with lifesteal/rush/charge.

The more I read idiotic statements like this, the more I realize that people don't care want nerfs for balance reasons.  Instead, they just want the dust.

Warbringer is a common card genius. It didn't do anything until it could be abused by this deck. Sure this deck is beatable if you tech against it extensively. Those cards are ultra dead weight against other decks. But if ladder is flooded with deathrattle rogue then you have to. It's called a warped meta, which is unhealthy for deck diversity and fun, which is what this is supposed to be about.
