I edited my post for a third time. I have a bad habit doing this.
But I fully agree - this is even worse than the giants, because the highroll potential in those combo decks is higher. If druids start the game with cheap ramps, the combo can be executed around turn 5-7.
I'm happy for you, that you will stay and counter them with your Kabal decks. I wish you to always find brann + rat or 2 rats on time. Speaking for myself - I never liked facing problematic decks, which only leave me with a bad taste in my mouth. That's why I will stay aside from wild ladder for now.
6 Mana cost would do nothing. You draw your exact combo pieces with this. For the mentioned builds (Star Aligner and Toggwaggle as well) it is just straight better than the most broken druid card until now, Ultimate Infestation. And UI is 10 mana. So, i would suggest, maybe, 11 mana? xD i mean, druid has innervate, so no problem ;)
C'thun: Aviana, kun, brann, dark arakkoax2, c'thun (6 cards, optional 7 with brewmaster)
Star aligner: Aviana, kun, brann, star alignerx2, random 7 health drop, floop (7 cards)
Seems like togwaggle is better than the others due to the much lower combo card count. Sure, the win condition is a little slower as it's fatigue, but psychmelon drawing you the whole thing in one go seems a lot more attractive.
Using Juicy Psychmelon in Togwaggle is terrible idea though due to the fact that you literally telling your opponent when to Dirty Rat. Star Aligner AvianaKun Druid is however build differently with Witchwood Pipers and and other smaller minions+Biology Project+Juicy Psychmelon. If we combine all these cards together, then the combo is much faster than other AvianaKun varriations and its less vulnerable to Dirty Rat. AvianaKun Druids were always weaker to Aggro and Midrange but they are not now due to the Biology Project screwing their mana curve. Combo is much faster and the only interaction with it is Rat and Demonic Project with maybe succesfully Smorcing your opponent down or playing Runes or Potion of Polymorph. Juicy Psychmelon is often in this deck as a 4 mana Sprint that draws your combo pieces which is pretty powerfull in class that can absolutelly ignore 10 mana crystals limit and cost of minions in Wild.
I have never seen it getting played it standard though. I mean, it might be broken in wild, but not like Blizzard would make changes just to balance wild. And wild is like supposed to be full of broken shit and there are way bigger problems there.
Yeah of course the problem is in wild. But hey, I just switched to the darkside, crafted the juicy melons and now the stars are all aligned for me xD lets enjoy it until the eventual nerf. Peace
The card automatically announces to your opponent that they have multiple combo pieces in hand 100%. They may even have up to four of them in hand after using the spell. This means Demonic Project is extremely likely to destroy a crucial combo piece. In wild it is even easier because we have Dirty Rat usable in every class. If a control player is using both Brann & Rat the druid has a high chance of losing instantly. Sure, the druid can stall til turn 10, but that means you are also stalling until you get to your hand disruption tech.
No wonder people lose to combo decks so often, they just give up and automatically assume that a card means defeat. Well if you don't tech and you take that personality then sure you will always lose then you will lose, but not for those of us who play combo decks and no how they work, including their glaring weaknesses that isn't always the case.
Think of Juicy Psychmelon sort of like a card that tutors things from your deck, but shows them to your opponent. If your opponent is a control player with the appropriate tech, especially in the hands of warlock, you gave your opponent a free read into your hand. You don't think that isn't important in such a match-up?
I wanted to try the stars align deck and this happened in the third game. I managed to combo on turn 3 because on turn 2 I drew nourish. It was pretty disgusting.

Blizzard has already made changes to balance wild in the past when they nerfed Dreadsteed due to a Defile and Knife Juggler OTK. They also made changes to nerf Naga Sea Witch which was exclusively in wild. Star Aligner Druid (or pretty much any other OTK druid, this one's just the best out of them) is super oppressive and really skews the meta. It's absurdly unfun to play against since they can deal with burn using their armor gain and board using Spreading Plague, plus they get all the card draw in the world to get their answers. It's never played in standard because there's no Aviana/Kun in standard. I would argue that there actually are no problems in wild right now that are bigger than Aviana/Kun combos. While Juicy Psychmelon makes this setup even more bullshit, I think the real solution is just to find a way to break the Aviana/Kun interaction either by nerfing one or the other. And it can't be in mana cost because druid doesn't care about mana costs. It has to change the effect. My advice is to make Aviana become "the next minion you play costs 1". That way Blizz avoids impacting standard and helps solve the wild meta. OTKs can still happen with Dreampetal Florist or Malygos + Floop, but it'll be harder than just drawing two cards and playing whatever you want.
Really? Would it even matter if OP was a girl? There's very few counters to Star Aligner Druid and this is from someone who played a fairly aggressive deck all the way to legend. I can't imagine playing against this with a control deck.
EDIT: From looking at your decklists, I can see you played a pretty hyper-aggressive deck. I can see why that wouldn't struggle too much from Star Aligner but I can't imagine that you beat every one you saw.
i dont get it, doesnt this deck get countered by deathlord and dirty rat completly??? and aviana+kun+ maly is basicall the same , so why is everyone crying about it
I like to play Wild, but i pretty much stopped the last few weeks because i don't like to be forced into deck decisions. Being required to play 2x Dirty Rat in every deck kills the fun for me.

Druid is broken (IMHO), but does anyone see anything in common here? Hmmm...I wonder...

People are losing to this deck because the combo can be played on turn 5 at least. KickMachine5 post even shows that combo can be done on turn 3. I will repeat myself again: AvianaKun decks are cool, but they are not cool however if they are killing you faster than prenerfed Razakus and Cubelock. And they can do that due to the combination of Prep+Sprint in one card and Ramp cards. Also the point with the Rat is not so strong when they run some cards like Brewmasters and such in list like this.
Im having a 50/50 against them with a Reno decks because it all comes down to who will draw faster. Aggro and Midrange wont SMOrc them because of Plague and Armor gain so they have little chance agaisnt them. Trust me, I've tried several decks.
I'm playing this game since October 2015 and I was one of the guys who said that Giants were not so oppresive even though they were in some ways. Well...Lets just say that Psychmelon is way more oppresive than Naga due to the other cards and combinations that Druid have.
i dont get it, doesnt this deck get countered by deathlord and dirty rat completly??? and aviana+kun+ maly is basicall the same , so why is everyone crying about it
Way too many people that don't understand how to get themselves to actually run tech cards. Star Aligner in particular is a bigger minion-based combo than something like Malygos Druid so the combo is much more likely to instantly lose to Dirty Rat. Heck, we even have Brann + Dirty Rat (which honestly almost every decent control deck in wild should be running anyway) cripples such a deck.
People would rather complain than change the way they play. I feel I should say something about leading a camel to water or teaching a man to fish.

Thank you for your kind wishes) And good luck in Standard. I think that Standard has more problems than Wild but I think that is just point of view

I've yet to see this card played against me, so i do believe that it's one of the bigger flops of the expansion, in Standard at least.
Release the Kraken!
another whinning girl lol

"There is no spoon"
OTKstone is getting pretty tiresome right now ...
It would be cool, but they have to give us neutral counters, relying on anti-combo warlocks to balance the entire meta just doesn't cut it.

I also play Starlight combo in wild, but without Brewmaster. Dirty Rat, Deathlord, Armour up's, Ice Block, Demonic Project, and sometimes Sylvanas Windrunner or Obsidian Statue counter the deck. Aggro deck as well, if you haven't the required draw. Even Shaman, Odd Pally and other decks are at 60-65% win rate as well. And draw one card to get a higher win chance is the same as with Prince Keleseth.
