Wow i cant understand how you guys think, this card is insane. Remember shielded minibot? this is his brother with just 1 less attack, but with lifesteal and a great ability.
"just one less attack" on a low cost minion it's all that matters
Yeah but this is 1 less attack for a great ability AND lifesteal
The ability sucks though, you can't heal past 30 so extra healing is quite useless see-> priest turn 2 hero power plus pass strategy 2016.
also minibot is a tempo card this isn't a tempo card.
He could have been a mech which transfers any healing into armor....making some of the bad heal-theme cards viable for a mech-paladin.. feelsbadman
the heal-theme is bad because overhealing does nothing! it does not trigger Blackguard/Spellstones etc.... swinning Truesilver or Uther DKS weapon when you are at 30 life feels bad and combo/control decks deal 30+ dmg in a single turn. Control-pala don't need more healing support they lack a win-condition vs combo/control decks. If this dude could give me armor instead of overheal he would have been a great card in any deck-type. I would play him in control pala to armor up vs combo decks in the late game were Lay on Hands would have been a waste of turn if I am at 30 health but my opponent is doing nothing because he is waiting for his combo-pieces....
Once control-paladin gets a viable win-condition (Mech-Cthun?!) I will look at this guy again.. atm I just feel disappointed.. his card art + backstory indicates a 5+ mana control paladin legendary.. now he is a 3-inch toy-golem
Yeah, the Warrior 1 drop is more powerful than this Legendary, at the moment.
Call me insane, but this Legendary could almost be a 1 drop , Powerlevel wise.
It's not a bad card by any means. It is good, but I'm not really thrilled about it either. It's a very decent 2-drop that can also be played with some healing effects later for some good recovery. It also has great synergy with other Lifesteal minions, and conveniently Corpsetaker.
In the days of Pirate Warrior, this card would have been amazing. But nowadays, the majority is control/combo decks, and slow Paladin decks have no win condition to close games out. Even the Death Knight is worthless against the competition.
Maybe one of the epics in this set puts this in a different perspective. If not, maybe in a future expansion, someday, when Paladin gets a card that can keep up with other lategame strategies. For now, I don't find it very appealing, aside from the fact that it's just a good card. But as a "good" card, it's not a must-have.
Viewed on its own merits, this card provides a lot of value for only 2-mana.
I think people are underrating this card because they are thinking of how crappy Healadin combo decks are. But as I see it, this is more of a control tool - it is basically the Paladin version of Arcane Artificer where you put it down and then use a healing effect to gain large amounts of health and stabilise yourself.
Meh. Actually glad Paladin didn't get another high power card.
And meanwhile no meta Paladin deck runs any Witchwood cards...so I don't get what you mean by "another."
This card is meh.
When I saw this card immediately thought of Arcane Artificer. It feels like it's supposed to be used in the same way - but that works because Mage has really strong late game wincons. Also doesn't change the fact that most heal cards are kinda crappy in terms of tempo which means you can't really justify playing them.
I mean, maybe if paladin had some really effective heal effects or some aoe heal for his units(not that neutral crap).Aside from that this card is just a very mediocre anti aggro tool, which paladin doesnt even need. Most of the time when you use deathknight and lay on heands you dont even use full healing from those cards against control/combo.You cant outheal frostlich jaina or any combo deck.
Guys, why the hate on the little guy? ;C He's not a bad card, there could be some synergies either in the upcoming expansion or in the future. I know it's kinda disappointing that he isn't a mech w/o any magnetic effects, but the divine shield and the double healing are fine for a cheap minion. I know he isn't as amazing as his brother Sunkeeper Tarim as well, but not all legendaries should have a board swing potential. Give him a chance. *sob* *sob*

I totally agree with you. So we just need to ask for an aggro/burn meta and this will make control paladin great.
I really like the idea of Healadin. Control paladin is the only deck I am playing and managed legend even when it was t4. I tried many times to make a heal deck with Blackguards, which is a card that I love, and the spellstone. But, I can't do anything with healing in this meta of combo and control decks. How am I going to win with this card against a Shudderwork deck or Taunt druid? Also, I am always at full health, and many times I have the spellstones and Blackguards stuck in my hand. Also there's so much overhealing done. We got so many ways to heal, but if we don't get an effect similar to Blackguard's, it's not going to work.
I hope this card gets supported in the 2 paladin epics we still have to see. And not leave it in darkness like the Cathedral Gargoyle which got ZERO support.
There are so many really cool Lifesteal cards that could support this, there's buffs to keep it alive, there's Lynessa SunsorrowCard Name to protect it, but we need a fucking win condition. Not sure if Kangor's Endless Army can fit in a deck with him, but maybe it could with Zilliax and some other good mechs. And of course Uther of the Ebon Blade is rocking with this card.
But please, give control paladins a fucking WIN CONDITION.
I believe the hope of this card is that divine shield pally becomes a thing and its placed there just for some extra sinergy corpsetaker and Ziliax could help so you have some sort of healling from enough lifeteal minions, some really good buff on turn 3 could also help it,. (I doubt it will happen).
Really sad about the fourth pally legendary minion that wont see play in a row, I guess tarim really is that good.
Paladin needs a way to transform healing/overhealing -> armor and mechs could be the right tool to make that happen... I rly hope that one of the missing paladin-mechs can do that otherwise I don't see this card in any paladin deck unless control-paladins gets a viable win-condition or the aggro meta is back because the potential of this little dude vs aggro is huge but control paladin was already decent vs aggro decks but we always get punished vs slow decks if we play too many anti-aggro cards
Only way I see this card useful in this meta is one of the unreleased paladin epic is mech heal giant. Since paladin has no self harm it will be very difficult to play it in early game

Is anyone else surprised this isn’t a mech? If it was, with good support from magnetic, a control Paly with the legendary spell could be great!

Kinda surprised about how positive the voting is.

This card is pretty good if you're not always on full health -_-

To everyone saying it's good in Wild with Forbidden Healing, it's not.
No one plays Forbidden Healing in Wild because it's bad and there's not even a single control pally deck in the Wild meta right now.
When I look at this card all I see is a glorified Fire Fly.
This card is really good. It just can't be used right now.
Underratet
Legend wild player here .Never seen forbidden healing (and other paladin heals lol) for ages
Yeah because baku is totally not a witchwood card that defines THE meta paladin deck at the moment...
*sob* *sob*
I totally agree with you. So we just need to ask for an aggro/burn meta and this will make control paladin great.
5% voted meta defining
26% very good.
when was the last time you played healadin? never? I thought so.

FOR THE HORDE!
The thing that paladin has never needed... Healing synergy
