It blows my mind that some people still support the shady business practise of loot boxes. There is a reason that they are increasingly being targeted by legislation, aimed at restricting or banning them entirely.
One of the main reasons for Hearthstone's commercial success was its business model, founded on enabling (mainly) children to gamble. Five years on and some people are still falling for it.
You're missing the obvious fact that Blizzard also included 5 MORE Legendaries this expansion. Yes, they gave them for free, but that didn't change the amount of Legendaries this expansion has left to collect.
Not trying to be rude, but you are the one missing the obvious fact that the 5 legendaries they gave for free this time are more powerful and useful than average. And of course, you need to collect only a few legendaries to remain competitive, and such a thing is really not that hard... -.-
They didn't just give players "5 legendaries". That is a gross over-simplification. They increased the number of legendaries in the set by 5, and then gave players the excess. it is very different, because the cost of the set stayed the same.
I bought the 100 packs bundle and I collected 42 packs more.
By 142 packs I just got 4 legendaries and 1 was also guarranteed in the fist 10, I just want to share with you guys, it can happen to you aswell.
I just finish to buy cards.
You gambled on lootboxes and lost. It isgambling, pure and simple. I used to buy packs, in the early days of Hearthstone, but I learned my lesson. You should too.
Imagine paying hundreds of dollars for lootboxes for an unbalanced, high-RNG mess, which markets itself as an "esport". OMEGALUL
you do realize you get FULL dust refunds for the nerfed cards? this has 0 impact on the money you spent.
Not if you crafted cards that are integral to the deck, but are not themselves nerfed. The best example of this were the Kingsbane nerfs: instead of nerfing Kingsbane itself, Blizzard nerfed the support cards that made the deck work (such as Leeching Poison). Players that had recently crafted Kingsbane got shafted.
If you haven't played an autobattler before, it is probably fine. If you have, it feels like a very dumbed down version - because it is heavily simplified it probably won't hold your attention for long. It also has much more RNG than other autobattlers.
I'm not bothered by the lack of rewards. I just think this looks like a dumbing down of the autobattler genre. I play TFT and underlords, but this doesn't appeal to me at all. That said, it's free, so whatever.
For the first time ever I am seriously concerned about hearthstone... This new game looks so Amazon, they combined the best things of all card games without the pay to win thing
You are worried that the legend of pirate warriorterra is gonna take over hs you are making me laugh stop pls .
You clearly haven't played it, you're just parroting Kripp. You know there are control decks too, right?
My thoughts after playing for a couple of days: LoR is easy to pick up, has some interesting mechanics, and has a huge potential market in LoL.
The game is fast, quite aggro, and ideal for quick play (on mobile, which is coming).
The art is some of the best I have seen in DCGs (if you like that style). Each card has a "widescreen" format art, you can see the whole scene when you right click on it.
The split attack/defend phase is interesting. I also like the way champions level up, and some of the champion abilities are novel, such as Yasuo and Katarina. They play very differently. Even with the current small champion pool, there is a lot of deckbuilding variety.
Riot plans to add all the champions eventually (145), which could add incredible depth to the game (if they can balance it).
The progression system is also fun and addictive. The devs have stated that they want it to be F2P friendly. I like the weekly rewards system, which scales depending on how much you play.
TLDR: I would be amazed if it didn't steal some market share from HS, if it delivers on its promises (particularly the F2P economy). LoL is already a huge market, HS is nearly 5 years old, and this is the new hotness.
Except it is literally p2w
How is it "pay to win"? LUL If you think that, I doubt you are even in the beta.
If you mean that you have the choice of grinding cards F2P, or buying cards, like every other digital CG out there, then yes. Dummy.

This is the asinine attitude that ruins the game. Don't re-balance the class, nerf it into oblivion.

So, when you go to HSReplay, and see that Galakrond Shaman has a 61% winrate, you think the deck is "no where close to overpowered"? Okay...

It is the best deck in the game, by 4.1% (with is huge), according to HSReplay. Personally, I like the deck, but I think the quest will get nerfed.

So naive. xD

What about the quests giving 3 packs (including 1 DD pack) - is that related?

The way Blizzard approached Autochess is completely on brand. They took an existing product, dumbed it down, and made it extremely high RNG. OMEGALUL

Over 100 summoned, no pack. :/
